    Permit STR20-1201

BEACH TRAIL BUNGALOW invites you into a peaceful coastal hideaway where sun drenched rooms, ocean breezes, and quiet charm set the tone for a truly relaxing escape. Just minutes from Dana Point’s beaches, harbor, Headlands, and local cafés, this beautifully situated 1BR/1BA retreat sits inside the tranquil, gated Monarch Hills community of Ritz Point—an ideal home base for couples or small families seeking comfort and calm.

Inside, the inviting primary bedroom features a plush king bed perfect for unwinding after long beach days, while the family room’s convertible sofa and standard sofa offer cozy, flexible sleeping options for additional guests. The bathroom features an oversized, deep tub/shower combination. Because of its larger footprint and taller step in height, the surrounding space is more compact than a standard bathroom. Please be aware of this layout when booking. The bright kitchen, glowing with natural light from the bay window, makes morning coffee feel extra peaceful, and the adjacent dining area is perfect for slow dinners, game nights, and reconnecting with loved ones.
The spacious family room—with its large flat screen TV, secure high speed WiFi, and welcoming gas fireplace—invites you to curl up and savor quiet evenings. Step outside to the private balcony, accessible from both the kitchen and bedroom, and enjoy gentle breezes, golden sunsets, and relaxed conversations. With plenty of seating, a full washer/dryer, covered parking, and beach gear ready for your use, every detail is designed for ease and comfort.

Professionally managed and meticulously cared for, BEACH TRAIL BUNGALOW offers a worry free stay from the moment you arrive. Dana Point’s harbor, beaches, art filled neighboring towns, and historic San Juan Capistrano are all within easy reach, making exploration effortless.

Great stay in Southern Calif

We loved this little condo. We enjoyed Southern California-whale/dolphin tour which is close, drove to San Diego, visited friends in the area, walked to Salt Creek Beach. It was a great location, and the condo was perfect for the two of us.

Great time in Dana Point

Very nice place, even the neighbors were friendly. (surprising...not everyone likes vacation renters) Liked the welcoming gift bag with kitchen and bath soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent, even a small beach towel.....nice touch!

Beautiful

This property has EVERYTHING! Tons of towels, every utensil you can think of. Bathroom is small but who cares? Stayed for a week with our 13 and 18 year old kids and it was great. We would definitely stay again!

I raised my family a couple miles away from this property and chose this unit for an 11 night stay to see friends and family. Below is the list from top down of assets:You are a mile or less from shopping and lots of food choices and Salt Creek beach. You can walk out the door and pick up the trail that leads to the beach if you enjoy a good walk, it's a little less than two miles one way, is a little hilly and has an ocean and golf course view the entire walk. The unit is very clean and updated and appears just as the pictures. I will point out that the only bathroom can only be accessed through the bedroom, as opposed to living area access. It could be awkward for certain travel arrangements. The king bed is very comfortable, being soft enough and still supportive and feels like a quality mattress. There are beach chairs, nice towels, and other items for outings. The parking is convenient and plentiful, and the gate guards were all smiles and helpful every single time I came through the gate. The unit is over the interior road and the parking spots as most of the units face outward. There was not a lot of noisy people or dogs. There is no view from the unit. It's a very comfy place to hang out inside. I would book it again.

Very good!

I totally enjoyed staying at this property. I wanted something close to my son and grandchildren and this worked out perfectly. I could walk to his house, the beach, the plaza, the movies, project social...The walk around the golf course to salt creek beach was great! The only reason I gave this property a very good instead of excellent, was the absence of the washer and dryer in the condo itself.

Best location

It was so convenient to everywhere! It was a quiet area, very restful. It was equipped with everything I needed. Appreciated the Kpod coffee maker. My only negative was when I booked it was winter rates that they quoted rather than summer rates.

Great little place

Location was good. Access to lots of restaurants and the beach is within walking distance. Easy communication with the host. The community seems to have lots of rentals as there were a lot of people coming and going with rental cars. Not bad necessarily, just something to be aware of. All in all, served it’s purpose and I would stay here again. Can’t beat the price!

Great location

Place is ok. Biggest downside is the toilet is too tight and the lighting is poor. I don't really like property managers because they are not personable. Got locked out once because of a faulty lock. Great location.

Fantastic Area - OK Condo

Dana Point - 10, Location of Condo - 10. Management Company - 10. Great walk to the beach through the golf course. Not sure why people rate this condo as a 10/10 however. Gigantic tub needs to be removed, make more room to the toilet. The 2 leather sofas need to be tossed, very uncomfortable. Lots of things need to be thrown out and replaced. Towels and sheets were very nice.

Beach Trail

It was clean, bright, uncluttered, and surprisingly spacious. I appreciated the stone and laminate floors instead of wall-to-wall carpeting. A welcome bag contained all the types of essentials plus a great snack! So nice to be able to settle in from night one. There was a K-cup plus a Mr. Coffee brewer. I’m a big toaster oven fan, and there was one of those. The fridge produced ice and filtered water. The two leather or leather-look futons in the living room added to the clean appearance and would have guven 2 adults spacious sleeping. A bonus was the walk-in closet, almost the size of a small bedroom. My only concerns were getting in and out of the shower which involved me, at 5 feet tall, doing some gymnastics. A person with poor balance or inflexibility might not have handled it. I saw no recycling bins at the complex which seemed outdated. Otherwise it’s an excellent value for the money. Walk to Moulin Bakery at least once!
