Fall getaway perfection
We planned to hike and see Letchworth State Park, so the cabin was the perfect location. A drizzly evening hike on the cabin property was the perfect start. The large front porch provided ample room to stay outdoors, enjoy the colors, and still be dry. The cabin was warm, very clean, and roomy. All the features worked well. We were very happy with our experience...even if we didn't get to see a bear.

Gorgeous getaway
We had a wonderful stay—private, quiet, and excellent management with great communication. The only problem is we didn’t stay long enough, so it was a unanimous decision to go back next year for longer!

Excellent stay in woods, close to Letchworth
Wonderful private cabin with tons of sleeping arrangements. Have everything as a home away from home. Orange newts, salamanders, crawfish right outside the cabin door. Bird songs and peace and quiet. Beautiful woods and cabin stay.

Amazing stay and sited a Bear :)
My husband and I loved our weekend getaway. The cabin was adorable and cozy. The location was nestled in the woods and quiet. David was an amazing host and helped orient us to the cabin and many hiking trails on the property. We were lucky enough to spot a black bear hiking on one of the trails across the creek. Amazing experience. Thank you again David & Terry. We will be back.

Peaceful and Snowy Spring Break
Great little hunting cabin to get away from everything! The wood stove kept us super toasty and the kitchen was good for our needs. The property surrounding the cabin is pristine and good hiking, and nearby Letchworth state park was beautiful and worth the trip. Would absolutely recommend this stay if you like the great outdoors!

Perfect Cabin Getaway
David and Terry are absolutely delightful, and the cabin was everything we could have hoped for. It was very clean, the wood stove was great and kept the cabin nice and toasty. The cabin runs on 12V solar, so there are LED lights and a charge port for mobile devices. The trails on the property are beautiful, it was the perfect opportunity to unplug and decompress. There are also stores and restaurants less than 20 minutes away. I highly recommend the cabin as well as David and Terry!

Unplugged 2023
My son and I spent the weekend at the cabin. It was exactly as advertised. We wanted to do some hiking and turn off the electronics. This was the perfect amount of off grid. The temp at night got down to -8 F and the cabin remained warm and cozy. If you are a skier its only 10 minutes away. Highly recommend...

Keith & his son were a pleasure to meet. Enjoyed a couple of very good conversations. Keith came on a good weekend when we had SNOW for a change this winter! 10 minutes from Swain Mountain Ski Resort, we just a short drive away from great skiing.

Great little hideaway
If you are looking to unplug and get away from it all, this is the place to be! My wife and I have 3 kids, work full time, and don’t slow down. This was EXACTLY what we needed. Dave was a great host, checked in with us, and was right down the street if we needed him. Highly recommended if you are looking to get away from it all.

Winter Wonderland
This place was everything I was looking for. Cozy, warm cabin in the middle of a snow drenched wilderness. The smell of the wood burning stove in the mornings with my coffee and breakfast cooking, the absolute peace after leaving a crazy New York City behind (the first part of our trip). David was so kind and helpful. I will definitely be back. I'd like to visit again in every season, as I'm sure each one brings another element of paradise and serenity. We're from Austin so we don't see much snow. It was absolutely perfect.

Reminiscent of “Walden” by “Henry David Thoreau”
Hiking through the woods on private trails was a new experience for us. The sense of solitude, serenity, and peacefulness of being truly alone in the woods was a very welcome surprise. The rain kept us in the cabin more than we foresaw, but sessions of uno, chess, hat knitting, and storytelling kept us easily entertained. Another pleasant surprise was the sense of civilization gained by taking warm showers from the hot pot set on the wood stove. I believe the experience will be transformative for my elementary school children and it was a very welcome retreat from all of our screens. Thank you Dave for making this experience possible for us!

So glad you enjoyed your winter stay at Cabin Creek Brian! Our 12V camp shower get us through the Winter, but you be sure to visit again during the Spring, Summer, & Fall, and we'll have the hot running water on for you!

We enjoyed our stay in your spacious, warm cabin. The location is perfect, the cabin has many amenities, and the cascading waterfalls next door were beautiful.

We love our waterfalls, and with 500 feet of elevation change in the creek bed alone, we've got a lot of them... So glad you got to enjoy them Jennifer!

Our guests always love to visit "The Grand Canyon of the East" at Letchworth Park, and then after a day of sight-seeing, leave the state park crowd to enjoy the solitude at our Cabin in the Woods! Just 15 minutes apart, yet 2 completely different worlds!

Nice rustic cabin
Very nice, rustic cabin in the woods. Loved the location, with a stream out back and hiking trails all around. We enjoyed Letchworth for a day and hiked the trails around the cabin the next. Very clean cabin. Minor gripes include finicky water in the shower that started out tepid and became ice cold (improved after an adjustment by the owner), slivers obtained from the wood floor (he wasn't kidding when he said to bring slippers!), and the lack of tissues (who thinks to bring tissues?!). But all-in-all a great get-away in the woods during peak fall leaf season!

Secluded getaway
Cabin was clean with a good assortment of pots & pans to cook with. Host David amenable, responsive and attentive to our needs. He was knowledgeable about the area. We chose to do the canoe trip down the Genesee River…so serene & relaxed!

Canoe trips are always fun adventures on the Genesee River. Love seeing happy faces when we pick our guests up at the old Indian portage trail at the Portageville Bridge!

Great trip!
We loved our time at the cabin and how secluded we felt. The host was nice and showed us everything. He even offered that we could check out late on our last day! However, I was uncomfortable with some of the merchandise available to buy in the Cabin, (Let’s Go Brandon mug). However we had a great time!

Sorry the hand made mug made you uncomfortable Nicole... We love to support one of our favorite NASCAR drivers, and thought somebody else might as well. Have no fear... the mug was purchased and not there any more.

Great cabin and Letchworth getaway!
Cabin Creek was perfect for our family getaway. We visited Letchworth and Stony Brook Parks, and spent one day visiting the Finger Lakes. The property is amazing - we had a wonderful time hiking and visiting all the waterfalls. The cabin is off-the-grid, but doesn't suffer for any of the comforts of home. We cooked and played games, enjoyed fires in the fire pit, stargazing, and spotting wildlife. The landscape is truly special. Terry and Dave are knowledgeable and helpful - they recommended fantastic day trips and tips to be sure we saw all the area had to offer. Over all, I would 100% recommend this getaway for you and your family.

Relaxing cabin in the woods
My husband and I took our 3 children, ages 20, 17 and 12 with us to the cabin. The cabin is spotless and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting around the fire listening to the coyotes in the distance. We took food and cooked over the fire for supper and breakfast. We went to the area for Letchworth State park and the drive to the park was close and easy to get to from this location. I would definitely stay there again.

Campfire cooking is always lots of fun, and the food never tastes so good! So glad your family enjoyed staying with us here at Cabin Creek Melinda! P.S. We took out a couple of those Coyotes during deer season this year; they kill so many of the fawns in the spring.

Fantastic property with superb hosts
There's no other way to describe this cabin except as stunning. From the surrounding attractions to the nature right outside your day, it is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in all the beauty this area has to offer. Terry and Dave could not have been more gracious hosts. They were waiting for us even as we arrived relatively late on a Friday, and Dave took the time to explain all of the cabin's features so we would understand them. We came up for a boys weekend and this cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. I would absolutely recommend staying here, as I hope to do in the future.

Cabin in the woods
The cabin worked well for us. It was rustic. It was about what we expected. It was off grid, so solar was used for lights and small frig. Our only challenges were less than two minutes of hot water (we managed with very short showers), and the train tracks that were relatively close with numerous trains coming through from 5:00 and 7:00 AM.

Oh No! We wish we had known about the hot water heater needing an adjustment; we could have taken care of that for you in a jiffy Gary! There is a freight train that goes up and down our valley, and blows the horn at our crossing to keep us all safe, but once the train passes by, everything is peace and quiet here...

Good!
Everything was fantastic, however they do state that there is excellent cell service with verizon. Unfortunately that was not the case, my girlfriend and I both have verizon and could not get service anywhere in or around the cabin until we drove a mile or two away. In the message we received after we booked our stay, it stated there was a fan in the bedroom, which was not the case. Other than that, it was a nice stay, the scenery was fantastic.

Huh; Verizon usually works great for everyone here... Other less robust cellular carriers seem to be hit and miss. Our Verizon Cell Tower is just 4 miles South on Swain Mountain.

You're welcome Katheryn! Early spring can be touch and go with the temperatures, but the creek is always running great! Come check us out in the Summer or Fall when the leaves are all out, and so beautiful too!

Beautiful & peaceful place
This cabin in the woods is lovely and so relaxing. It rained all weekend, but with the wonderful wood stove and large porch we were dry, warm & comfortable. The hiking around here is great and the color was still beautiful on the trees. If you really want to get away from it all check this out. Terry & David were wonderful hosts!

So glad you enjoyed coming in out of the rain to enjoy the forest from porch! When Terry insisted that I build her a large covered deck on the cabin, it wound up being one of our favorite things about the cabin! We put in a special order for drier, sunny weather on your next visit Nicole!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we had a blast. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It’s about a 12 minute drive to Letchworth park. It’s one of the entrances closer to the falls. The wings at the Sierra Inn were bomb. The owners were awesome and we already know we’ll be back! Thanks for a great stay!
