Host promptly and courtesously replied to initial and continued email contact. Very friendly and considerate. House was clean and tidy, but does need attention to pet odors easily detected in all 3 bedrooms. It wasn't overwhelming at all, just noticeable when you were in certain areas of the bedrooms. The home appears in person as it is advertised. The back yard and patio were surprisingly tidy and well-kept. Being able to use the garage to park in was very much appreciated. If this home were given a fresh update (proper new flooring removing old pet smells, new interior paint, new front door and back door to feel more secure as well as look more appealing) you could easily ask a higher daily rate for this home. It is well laid out, kitchen is in good enough shape for an STR, and location is great for multiple activities. The primary bed frame needs to be secured so it won't rattle every time you move and all bedrooms would greatly benefit from drapery to go along with the blinds in order to properly block out light so guests can rest well. And yes, I am a Realtor, thus the professional feedback. I also ran my own highly rated Beach STR home for over 12 years so I know how valuable a professional feedback can be to the longevity of success in this line of business.

This was the first time we used VRBO and we were disappointed. There were 3 things we appreciated about this house. The location, the space, and the host. The house is near shops and restaurants and worked well for our needs. The space was ideal for our family of five and well decorated. The host had very thoughtful snacks in the fridge and communicated the check-in process well. That said, this house needs a really good cleaning. When we first walked in there was a musty smell and within a few minutes we started breaking out. We are sure the house has mold issues as our allergies were heightened. The floors were extremely dirty, the shower had hair, the shower curtain in the extra bathroom needed cleaned, washer for laundry had s sour smell and probably needs to be cleaned.We were grateful that the towels and beddings were clean. Lastly, the front door was a concern as the trim appeared to be dry rotted and didn't seal in the chanel making us feel the door was less secure even though it was locked.The house has good potential but I would recommend that the host make some updates and ensure the property is well cleaned and fit for guests before their arrival to allow for a comfortable stay.
The lower part of the toilets and floors needed cleaned.
Dust on some of the furniture.
Fan was very dusty.
Second toilet that needed lower and floor area cleaned.

As advertised! The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. The couches and big TV are wonderful for lounging. The TV wasn’t compatible with chrome cast or airplay and didn’t have many streaming apps available so I was glad I brought an HDMI cable for my laptop. Recommend bug spray for the patio mornings/evenings this time of year because it’s so nice out there aside from the mosquitos. Thank you to our host!
