The unit was dirty-from the floors to the stained counters and bedding, bug traps everywhere, gnats in the kitchen, big stains on the very small sofa cushions, a tiny table to serve as a coffee table was all scratched up, and foam insulation was filling in cracks everywhere. The unit was supposed to sleep 10, but there is a tiny kitchen table with only three chairs. The street noise made it such that none of us slept well-sounded like drag racing on the street below. The gym listed as an amenity was important to one in our party and some of the equipment was broken and dumbbells were missing. We had to walk through several groups of pot smokers and homeless people just to get in the building. We get its downtown but it was portrayed as industrial while in reality it was grungy and seemed unsafe. Not a place for families with young kids or anyone over 35. Perfect crash pad if you want to go out and leave the next day, this appears to be a downtown apartment building used primarily for short-term stay rentals. It’s much different than staying in someone’s home like other VRBO‘s we have used. We checked out early and found somewhere else to stay. The one positive is that the manager was very responsive in answering Vrbo messages. He seemed genuinely interested in making our stay better but short of moving us into a completely different property, I don’t believe there’s anything he could’ve done that would have convinced us to stay another night.
