My wife and I enjoyed our time relaxing at this lake house for the week. Close enough to Grapevine for an excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad to the Ft Worth Stockyard and take in a Friday night Texas Rangers baseball game. While in Arlington, we made a special point to visit the National Medal of Honor Museum before the game. Well worth going to see the exhibit and hear the short videos of the heroics of our men and some women in uniform.We were able to borrow a canoe (also kayaks and paddle boards available) to relax on the lake for a few hours, and watch the beautiful wildlife and sunsets. Wading birds and even saw some alligator gar. But the coolest was the flock of geese. There were over a hundred on the first day after the train ride. It was amazing to watch them flying in to land on the water, swim around, dive for food, and take flight. This was a bonus for our trip.Jerry and Jeri were terrific. Great communication, friendly, and helpful when finding places to go eat or other things to enjoy in the area.We will look forward to staying again when we next find ourselves in the area.

Great Get Away Vacation

Everything that we needed to relax was at the house on the lake where we stayed for 4 days.The house was clean and had everything we needed. We only left one time the 4 days we were there and that was to have Sunday lunch with our kids.The best time was sitting out on the deck early morning in our pajamas, drinking coffee and enjoying the quietness of the morning. Same thing late afternoon, having a snack and watching the ducks, the squirrels and the rabbits. Easy to get used to this kind of life.

Great lakeside location

The house is very well maintained and super clean. The view out the windows to the lake is outstanding. The location is close to lots of restaurants and activities, and very quiet. The property owner made the whole experience really easy, communication was first rate. We had a great couples getaway!

Got some well needed rest

Enjoyed our stay. Was hoping that the weather was going to be nice but it was not. Had some issues with the water when we got there but Jerry took care of it. There were a couple dogs, from down the road, that roamed around. We had our dog with us and made sure to have her on a leash when someone was around but was surprised a couple time with the dogs just running around. The host were super, wish we could have spent more time chatting with them, we were sick for most of the two weeks we were there. Hope to visit this property again in the future.

Perfect house on the lake

My wife and I stayed at this house for almost a month and had a great time. The house was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. We spent every night on the back patio watching the wildlife around the lake while the dogs played in the huge yard. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. My wife enjoyed the table by the window, where she worked during the day with a perfect view of the lake. The house has a remote feel but you are very close to anything you might need. There were several nights we didn’t want to cook and had DoorDash delivered. There was a huge selection of places to order from. The property owners are great people and are always available if needed. Definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed.

Great Lake location

We loved having the great views of the lake and it was a quiet neighborhood. Owner was very responsive to our questions. We would stay at this location again as proximity to shopping and grocery was short drive.

Beautiful Getaway

I can not say enough about this little place, community, and the owners! My husband and I need a mommy/daddy getaway to relax and unwind and that’s exactly what this place offered. It was absolutely beautiful to wake up and see the lake from the big windows in the den and kitchen. Sunsets are beautiful in the evening. Jerri and his wife and super sweet and extremely accommodating. We will definitely be coming back to this cute little rental again in the future!

Great stay and great overall experience

First of all, everything stated in this listing is extremely accurate. Pictures show exactly what we found. The house is well-equipped, with lots of unexpected pleasant surprises, such as a complete array of spices in the kitchen and tons of clean towels. The grounds are beautiful. Jerry owns 7 (I think) houses right there (see wfrll.net) so there are lots of options for both staying and activities. There is plenty of space for kids (or adults) to play, and a variety of water toys and crafts. And despite the 110 degree heat, the AC worked well and we were extremely comfortable. What I liked best was the cleanliness of the house. It was spotless! When we got into bed the first night, the bedding smelled like it just came out of the laundry. Beds and furniture were comfortable, even for people with bad backs. Jerry and wife Jeri are readily available both before and during stay. Highly recommend and will stay here again next time we're in the area.

Great experience!

I spent Easter weekend at this property and loved it! I needed to just get away for a few days (Th-Sun) and enjoy nature. The house was the perfect size, clean, and on the waterfront. I did some painting, hiked, and chilled. Beautiful sunsets! The host lives next door and was very accommodating. * 5 stars for this stay!
