This our 3rd stay at Kandaya. Sadly, lots of upgrading is needed now. We first had a deluxe suite booked. Foul smell was coming from bathroom, TV wasn’t working well and air conditioned was not functioning well. We eventually moved to a villa, which was better but bathroom needs upgrading, tiles from the pool were coming off as well. Gym definitely needs a lot of upgrades. Air condition was always not properly functioning and ALL equipments were so old, most were taped off and too old to use. Expected more for spa accommodation, especially for the price. Staff is always friendly. Hopefully upgrades will be done, especially for the price.

Staff amazing and the room was everything the photos showed. Great beach Bit to far away from things, 3 weeks was too much and we left earlier than we had booked for Restaurant staff went above and beyond but the food wasn’t the greatest Would certainly recommend it for a shorter stay

Flot resort og stor value for money

Et virkeligt lækkert resort, hvor man får stor value for money. Maden var virkelig lækker - særligt alle seafood retterne. Pænt og rent med høfligt personale. Meget roligt sted og kun ganske få gæster - kan opleves både positivt og negativt afhængigt af, hvad man er til.

It’s a perfect getaway for families and friends. Even though just one night but it is worth it. There are plenty of activities to enjoy here, especially if you make full use of the services they offer. I love how peaceful it is, it really helps you relax and unwind. The room was huge and the service is excellent.

Ett litet lugnt och skönt paradis.

Fantastiskt ställe att koppla av på och bil är att föredra då det ligger lite avlägset men närheten till det mesta. Flera fina öar finns att besöka. Vi hade en pool villa och det var ett riktigt bra val. Rekommenderar verkligen hotellet.

I always want to stay here when I need to relax. The beachfront room is always my go to. I can watch the sunrise from the balcony. The foods are amazing, my husband loved the pork bbq and fried rice. Will definitely come back.

Just a nice weekend with my wife - exceeded expectations... The room was beautiful with a private pool and a huge bath. Had a blast with the jetski!

Strand pool villan helt fantastiskt, lugnt och skönt. Mycket bra mat i restaurangen med ett brett utbud. Trevlig, service inriktad personal. Det enda är att stranden utanför hotellet inte är så trevlig. Men vi åkte båt ut till hotellets privata strand på en annan ö, med bbq lunch. Mkt bra o trevligt.

Stayed here with my husband and my baby. The private pool ocean view villa was awesome but there was a leak in the bathroom. Everything was great but the facility needs an update. Also, if they can have a baby changing station at the lobby's bathroom and the restaurant to make it easy to guest with babies.

Der Glanz der 5 Sterne ist leider verblasst! Das Hotel ist ein architektonisches Meisterstück, dessen Zimmer in Unterhalt und Wartung leider seit langem vernachlässigt wurden. Unsere Ocean view Suite wies feuchte Wände und feuchte Matrazen auf. Entsprechend müffelte es. Lüften brachte da auch nichts mehr. In der Toilette stank es nach Fäkalien. Wahrscheinlich steht dort das Abwasser in den Leitungen. Nach 3 Nächten gaben wir auf und haben das Hotel frühzeitig verlassen....

) I stayed at Kandaya Resort and while the resort has a beautiful ocean view and the staff were genuinely friendly, the overall experience was disappointing due to a number of operational issues that should have been addressed before guests arrive. When I first checked into my room there were several problems including the door lock not working properly, the TV and cable not functioning, the Smart TV needing to be reconnected, a toilet with very weak pressure that clogged, and light switches that wouldn’t turn off until an electrician came and rewired the switch. These are the kinds of things that really should be checked before renting the room to guests. The biggest issue during my stay was the service and staff training. The resort appears to rely heavily on OJT (on-the-job training) staff, and while they were all very nice, many clearly had not been properly trained. Ordering food was frustrating because meals often arrived at completely different times, sometimes with one person getting their food and the other waiting 20 minutes for theirs, which takes away from the experience of dining together. The breakfast buffet also had issues with food temperature; the first morning the food was cold, the next morning it was warm after I mentioned it, and the following day it was cold again until a manager had to go into the kitchen to address it. Something as simple as keeping proper heat under the buffet trays would easily solve that. Around the pool area the service was simila

Our room was nice and spacious, and clean. Food was excellent, except for the Valentine's day dinner. There were two choices, and my wife had the pasta. Her pasta was cold and a lot firmer than al dente. The chicken parm was tasteless. My cheesecake for desert arrived at my table frozen. Can't even slice it with a knife. They should've stuck with native cuisine. My wife loves italian food, but that was nowhere near it. BTW, the front door entrance to our hotel is treacherous. The door landing was high, and you can't notice it because of the same color rug in front of it. I tripped on it, and bruised my toes. They should've at least put a sign there to watch your step. Ironically, it happened to my wife the next day.

Quite honestly, for foreign travellers looking to see a bit of the Philippines.....don't waste your money on this resort. Our beach front villa with pool was fantastic however the service at this resort was very inconsistent (housekeeping, grounds staff, pool cleaners, service in the restaurant and room service) and the location too far out of the way to see most anything else. The beaches were nicer in Malapascua and Bantayan as well. We had booked for 13 nights and by day 4 were looking at leaving and going to another hotel in the south of Cebu, closer to all the attractions like whale sharks, water falls etc. No go, as we were told that once checked in we were responsible for the total cost of the stay! Also some price inconsistency going on - the front desk told us on a Sun that the price of an Island Hopping tour on the hotel boat was 18,000.00 pesos. Three days later when we enquired again with intention of booking, the price had jumped to 22,000.00 pesos. Of note, by using a tuktuk, local ferry, scooter rental and local boat off Bantayan we calculated the price to be less than 4000.00. Only one restaurant on site and although the food was good, service was very inconsistent and the menu quickly got old. Of note, there were no other restaurants within walking distance and even in Daanbantayan there was only one other restaurant serving the same type of food and a Jolibees. Relaxing trip, comfortable bed, friendly people but for the price, quite disappointing!
