The property itself was clean and well-maintained. However, our experience with the staff was inconsistent and concerning.
One staff member offered to assist us with transportation and guidance to Hoi An, but the situation became uncomfortable when he argued with local shop owners over commission related to our purchases. It created confusion and made us question whether our custom items would even be completed. He also pushed us to make purchases or shop at places he would receive commissions at.
He initially told us he would stay with us the entire time, but instead we were left in Hoi An, about an hour away. He said a driver would pick us up when we were ready to return. However, once we were ready, we ended up waiting 57 minutes, while being repeatedly told it would be “5–10 minutes.” The lack of transparency and communication was frustrating.
The following evening, a custom leather wallet was delivered, but the lobby staff initially denied receiving it. The next morning, front desk staff also stated there was no delivery and even contacted the vendor to question them. Only after the vendor provided photo proof did the staff retrieve the item.
Overall, while the property itself was pleasant, the level of service and communication from staff needs significant improvement.
