You could not ask for a more lovely and private beach in all of Maine. The house has everything you could think of needing to relax and enjoy time together. A perfect and special place.

40th anniversary at the ocean.

My wife and I like to spend our anniversaries ocean side and this was a beautiful loction and place to spend it. Alot to do in the area and the property / private beach was extremely relaxing.

Beautiful family vacation home. Location, views, serenity, privacy, fullly stocked kitchen (really stocked), and warm floors too! Ample seating for working, reading, and eating. Very clean. Great host, very responsive. Everything was excellent but the master bed was a little too hard for my comfort. One of the best homes in the area! We had a wonderful vacation!

Awesome home away from home

We loved every minute of our stay. Each day was another opportunity to wake up to the sound of the ocean, explore the private beach, enjoy family time in the house, and watch the most amazing sunsets. Sue was a wonderful host. We hope to stay here again.

Relaxing weekend away

Great place to go for relaxing and fun family time together. Fun property in a secluded area with private beach access, fire pit, sauna, and downstairs game room. Sue was a fantastic host and made this property feel like a fully stocked home.

The setting is gorgeous and the house accommodated all nine of us without feeling cramped! I would highly recommend staying in this Cutler home. It offers solitude and a private beach yet is close to a grocery store and restaurants. Sue was a great hostess, answering my questions in a timely manner!

Wonderful experience

We had a great time, exploring sites and relaxing at the cabin. Lots of public land throughout the area make ideal hiking trips. Quoddy head light park is a favorite we always visit.

Bear Beach Lodge, Cutler ME

Property was amazing. Beautiful, peaceful, very private location.All amenities were as described. The sauna was wonderful, especially to soothe sore muscles after a hike on the Bold Coast Trail.Would love to return during the summer to enjoy warmer weather activities.Highly recommend this property.Sue the owner was so easy to work with.Thankful she shared this little slice of heaven with us!

Location, location, location

It was a beautiful spot to spend a week and enjoy the surroundings both in the area and at the cabin. Complete privacy not only at the cabin but the beach and walks near the cabin. The location is fantastic for day trips to the many wonderful places to visit, explore, hike or eat. Also the sunsets are fantastic!

First week of May

What a gorgeous place. The weather didn’t cooperate with us, rainy and foggy most days, but the house is cozy and warm. Well stocked, lots of firewood, the view (without the fog) is incredible. Sue couldn’t have been better to deal with.

Heavenly! I cannot think if another word to express how wonderful our stay at Bear Beach was. This home is exactly as described-a beautiful home with the most loving touches throughout. If privacy and peace are what you seek, look NO FURTHER and book today just don’t pick MY WEEK, lol. Sue is a wonderful and loving host who shares the beautiful history of how Bear Beach ( once a dream) became a reality for all to enjoy! I miss it already and will be back !

Magical Weekend

We had the most amazing time at Sue’s cabin. The private beach was spectacular. Big, comfy, warm cozy cabin. Amazing sunsets. Totally peaceful and quiet. The sauna and fire pit are such nice touches. We didn’t want to leave and are already planning our next trip back.

Our home away from home

This is our fourth stay at Bear Beach and it has become like a beloved second home to us. It is the most amazing place to unwind. There is absolute privacy and quiet, with gorgeous views of the bay and sunsets. Everything needed is at the house and Sue is the best host ever. Our dogs think it is paradise with daily swims and romps on the beach. There are wonderful places to explore nearby, without the summer crowds found in most on Maine now. We love it.
