"This was the second time my husband and I stayed at Trailside Hotel, and unfortunately this was a drastically different experience than the first. Upon arrival, the door to our room (room 101) was left opened which we thought was odd. After being in the room with the door closed for a while, we noticed a musty smell starting to fill the room. Each time we would leave the room and come back, the smell would be even stronger and it began to smell like a sweaty gym sock. We thought of all...

"it is a good economical choice for bikers passing through. It is not fancy, but it was clean, safe and quiet, my three top priorities. The price range of a hostel, but with the privacy that you would prefer. Staff was easy to get a hold of and they were friendly and kind. There was a nice restaurant right next-door and there’s a cool art gallery/coffeehouse in the area called Tissue Farm. "

"Everything was perfect! We (and our dogs) really enjoyed the seclusion and total lack of fireworks. We rented the cabin with an explicit desire to leave fireworks behind... The cabin is well-equipped and very cozy. We were glad there was no snow or ice since the road leading to the cabin is uphill for a big stretch and at times quite narrow."

"The hosts were great! The minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, coffee and tableware were very convenient.The rooms were clean. The location of the bathrooms/sinks were a bit odd. One bedroom smelled like sewage for some reason. It was fine for having a one night stay before going to see Fallingwater. "

"It's the perfect place to be right near the opening of the state park. There're food and things to do right down the street. I couldn't recommend it enough."
