Enjoyed a beautiful week in Cudjoe Key, we visited Mallory Square for the sunset in Key West which is not far from the property. The community has so many amenities that we enjoyed like the pool. Can’t wait to come back!

the good and the bad

the good- communication with Dennis was great, he answered all my questions quickly, most with in 1 hr.The place was very clean,the view of the bay was great, the neighbors were very friend, even helped us unload the car. fishing from the dock was ok. dishwasher,dryer,washer and ac were whisper quiet except when the washer got out of balance and the whole house shakes. We had an excellent two weeks. The bad, being country folk we normally want our neighbors at lease a stone throw away. At Venture Out you can't throw a stone without hitting a neighbor. The place is small, maybe an older double wide, the floors are a little soft in places but over all a great place to stay especially when the temp is 80 and Wisconsin is -10 acc

Cozy Cute House, Lovely Community, Great Location

My husband and I chose this cozy cute house for our recent stay in the lower Keys and were quite pleased with it. The parking is convenient, the view is lovely, the community is quiet and friendly. Outdoor seating is comfortable for coffee in the mornings and supper after grilling the catch of the day.Inside, there is cozy seating on a comfortable sofa and loveseat, or around the dining table. The kitchen is well appointed, as are the bedrooms and baths. Laundry appliances are in the house, which I greatly appreciate. Everything was clean and prepared nicely for our arrival.The area simply cannot be beat as a base camp for exploring the lower Keys. Just up the road are a cute coffee shop and The Square Grouper for meals. Don’t miss out on Morita’s for excellent Cuban food! It is just a short dive down to Key West or up to Marathon and the opportunities for experiencing flora and fauna are plentiful. We managed to hit almost every state or national park/site, hiking and paddling our way through the best the Keys have to offer, and finally tumbling back to this cozy little nest to clean up and rest at the end of each day. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

Nice and convenient

The house was nice and clean, we had all the things we needed. This was the first time we’ve stayed at a resort location and it is a pleasant place. Neighbors homes and campers are a bit close, so privacy in the evenings while hanging on the patio is limited. The neighbors however were extremely nice and helpful.

This little secrete of a catch was amazing. It was so much fun. Rt. On the channel thats opening to the atlantic. Sunrise on the deck with coffee every morning before kids got up started each day off perfectly. Being able to have that " being home/while away" feeling was great. This house is very cute. Owners there if you need them. Answers questions very quickly. We will definately come back if this house. Venture out resort is a great gem with several little gems inside her. Thank you for such hospitality

Perfect slice of paradise

We had an awesome weeklong stay! The house was perfect for our needs, very clean and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable even my teenager commented! The fishing right from the back patio was an extra plus. Its like an aquarium in your backyard. Grunts, snapper, wrasse, parrot fish , angels, sharks, and even an eel! Iguanas and birds galore. We could kayak and paddleboard right out to the bay! Venture out is a great community and this is the perfect place to stay! We will definately be back! Thank you for sharing your paradise

Pro's Location, of course comfort was good, the unit is dated, although it has had some recent upgrades. has everything you need for a pleasant stay. beds were comfortable, fortunately one of the beds was low enough for my wife to get in and out of, the other one sat way too high. Furnishings were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. CON's Cleanliness was mediocre at best. Pet peeve, dirty ceiling fans they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Floors by the windows had a line of dead bugs, probably from bug spray. Fortunately, we didn't have any live bugs. Fit and finish looked like it had been done by unskilled labor. trim on the walls was poorly done. We found a hole in the wall after a picture had fallen off the wall covering it. Unit just felt dated overall. Kitchen was well stocked, but with cheesy plastic and mixed matched everything. We found after looking for utensils that some of this stuff should have been disposed of ages ago. There were several knives, and misc. utensils that were rusted and just nasty. If anything, it was overstocked with junk, and stuff I wouldn't use or touch. Some of the lighting was missing bulbs or had burned out bulbs. OVERALL Thoughts As mentioned, it has everything for relative comfort. It has no frills or high-end amenities. This is just a unit put together as a moneymaker rental. Would I stay here again, probably, but I'd have to get a great deal to do it knowing how it looked and felt.

Great little place.

Down for a week with our boat and the place was perfect for our needs. The onsite boat ramp, marina with gas pumps, and the convenience store with bait, ice and drinks made it easy to prep for our boat/fish trips. Area has some great restaurants nearby, too. Highly recommend this place.

Location of the property was ideal for my 3 sons who love to fish and love the water. Beautiful sunrise. Great location to see the Florida Keys as well. Plan to return in the future. We loved it.

The AC won’t go below 70, I have mine at 68 and expect to be as comfortable when on vacation. The second bedroom with the queen bed is small- there about a foot at the end of the bed to walk around and get in. Bed was so uncomfortable my husband slept on the couch after two night. No place to se you suitcase except the bed when getting clothes out. One side of the bed is at door frame. Hall bathroom fan sounds like a jet with bad engine taking off. No ice maker in the fridge. Towels are old, worn and scratchy. The entire house shakes when the washing machine is on. There are soft spots in 5 places of the floor. The blinds in the living room work poorly. Recycle day is Wednesday but where is the recycle bin? The house needs a major well done renovation. This house is old and been patched and redone poorly. I go on vacation and expect accommodations to be at least as good as I live in and prefers to have them better for that short period of time. This was a total disappointment, the dishes are goodwill rejects. I understand not having not glass or china but they could have nice melamine dishes- that match. They have super thin plastic junk. The pots and pans are as thin and cheap as possible. I expect more. There is no shade outside so don’t expect to use the grill unless you want to cook at 9 or roast yourself. neighborhood is ridiculous- we pulled out boat down is an F250 double cab, we got two notices to get tires off the asphalt, small dri

Owner controls thermostat

The property was listed at central AC but has been updated since my complaint, absolutely no ventilation in the bathrooms while the door is shut for privacy. I contacted VRBO and sent proof w/pictures of thermostat set on 70 but the actual temperature reads 75 degrees with 75 humidity and the conversation with host that proves backup of my statement. I tried reasoning with host saying the AC wall boxes are not strong enough to cool the unit unless the temperature is lowered,he said no he cannot lower the temperature, he feels it is cool enough. A assistant sent over by host saw temperature and agreed with temperature being uncomfortable. I told her I was hospitalized two years ago w/ Covid double pneumonia and have glass nodules on my lungs and had an asthma attack the 1st night due to uncomfortable temperature in the unit. Within an hour, Mrs. Knox called saying I’m an on a recorded line, she said I told the assistant that I felt unsafe that I needed to leave the premises and she would issue a full refund. Repeatedly telling her that at no time did I tell anyone that I felt unsafe simply just wanted the thermostat lowered to a comfortable temperature.This was absolutely devastating to us, pulling a 24 ft boat 17 hrs from GA, paying $4200 & $245 for storage/property fee. Then to be told we need to leave, it takes a cold hearted person to do this because you’re afraid of a lawsuit for my health condition. Unbelievable! We toughed it out for 2 wks, we had no place to go.
