We thoroughly enjoyed our New Year's stay in Crystal River! The location is unbeatable for anyone looking to be close to the manatee action. The house features a private dock, and while we didn't take advantage of it, you could easily paddle a kayak directly to the springs.Our kids loved hanging out by the canal in the back, fishing and watching the adventure pontoon boats head out each day. It’s worth noting that the canal gets active early, with some engine starts around 5:30 AM, but it adds to the "fishing village" charm of the area.The property is tucked away at the end of a dead-end street, so there was almost no traffic, making it feel very quiet and safe. We did have a minor issue with the neighbor’s dogs barking, but the host was incredibly responsive. They put us in touch with the neighbors (who were very nice!) and even provided a bark control device that solved the problem.Overall, a great, secure spot for a family getaway. We’d definitely stay here again!
