Everything was perfect. From the immaculate three bedroom home to the screened in heated pool, video games in the garage, the bicycles, the gas fire pit, the gas grill,the tiki bar and the docks on the river. There’s absolutely something for everyone. We travel the world and this property is one of the very best that we have stayed in. Chris was easy to work with and very easy to communicate with. The location of the property is absolutely perfect.we hope to stay here again.

I almost don't want to put in this review because I want to keep this rental all for myself!From the modern, clean and welcome appearance to the added perks like bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, docks, games, and a fantastic swimming pool-this rental is worth every penny.Chris is incredible responsive and truly wants you to enjoy yourself at his home.We were able to see the blue egret several times during our stay and made sure to put some signed dollar bills on the tiki bar.Things to know: -Make sure to pay attention to the tides, canal water levels go up and down.-Publix is nearby, but it is easy to get food deliveries from restaurants. -Make sure to eat at some of the local eateries. Everyone is so nice, we especially loved The Biscuit Barn for breakfast.-You are minutes away from everything in this home without being crowded.-Watersedge Kayak Tours was so good we booked them twice. -Plantation Adventure Tours is right down the road and great as well.-Make sure to visit the shops in the quaint old fashioned main street for souvenirs which is just minutes away.-Once you are done with all of your activities for the day, go back home to relax and soak in the pool.-A quiet neighborhood with a view of the water across the street, it's a nice area to take a short evening bike ride.Seeing and swimming with manatees was a bucket list item for me. I could not have had a better place to stay to fulfill that wish.We love Mermaid House!

This house was absolute paradise! It was immaculate and had every amenity you could want. the location was ideal and the neighborhood is peaceful and quite. the house is spacious and is furnished well. There were six of us staying and there was plenty of room for everyone. I have stayed in many homes and this by far is the best! The host was kind and responsive and made sure we felt at home. If I could give this 100 start rating I would.

We enjoyed sitting by the pool and played music on the outside tv while our granddaughter played in the pool.We had wild life visitors while out at the tiki hut. A blue heron came really close, so we gave it a little bread. Now the squirrels would get really close, so we started leaving peanuts out for them.The house was great!!! The huge island in the kitchen is ideal. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and grill.The granddaughter really loved the games in the garage.Especially Ms Pacman!Chris, the host was great to work with.We originally booked this house for Thanksgiving 24. But the house was still being repaired from hurricane damage. So instead of refunding the money, we moved the booking to Thanksgiving 2025.It was well worth the wait!!!We will be booking the house again!Thanks for the use of your home!

Our host was extremely welcoming. This place is awesome.... inside feels brand new.....games & bikes in the garage - heated pool. Dock availability amd even a kids room filled with games and cuddle buddies.We just loved it!

This house was everything you could want! Comfortable and inviting. Great kitchen and pool with an amazing ice maker in the garage. Washer and dryer, too. We brought our boat and had a great location and dock. Chris very responsive. Would love to come back!

Great house! Had everything we needed and more! House was very clean, check in was easy. The pool was so much fun and a great temp. We used the kayaks and went to the springs. Really a great location to do so many things! The house has everything in the kitchen you would need. Tons of games and activities for nighttime or on a rainy day. Really loved this place.

We did not bring a pet but we love that there were amenities and would bring pets next time! The pool area is awesome and we spent most of our time there. All of the decorations and tv were a very special touch. We loved everything about the house! The game room for the kids, the bikes..and that ice machine is fantastic

We had a fantastic time at The Mermaid House. Plenty of room, great fun in the pool. Used the kayaks a couple of times to visit Three Sisters. Caught catfish from the dock, heard an alligator bellow while fishing, then saw him swim by the next day. Had a visit from a manatee right in front of our dock-couldn’t have asked for more. Crawdaddy’s Restaurant was great because of convenience and happy hour prices on oysters, shrimp and drinks. Ice maker was great and arcade games were fun. The host was super fast at responding. I have nothing negative to say! Totally recommend.

Perfect, we've stayed at the Mermaid House before and are already planning a trip or two for next year. Chris, the host is quick and easy to communicate with. House is well appointed, pretty much everything you need for a stay. The pool is my favorite, listening to nature, floating with a cocktail, you can't beat it. The tiki bar is also amazing! Plenty of room, house is kept spotless and has beautiful finishes inside.

This house is PERFECT!!!! We have stayed at numerous river houses in the past 10 yrs and this was #1!! Best stocked, all you need is your clothes and food they have ALL the things you need!!! The most spacious, the open layout in the kitchen and living room area makes cooking and socializing easy!!! The pool, floats and towels were all supplied!! There were extra blankets for couch sitting, extra towels for showering, full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair dryers, extra floor fans and the ice machine made it easy to keep cold drinks outside in coolers, which they also supplied!! The house was decorated perfectly for a Mermaid get away!!! Chris was very easy to communicate with for anything we needed. The only thing I would suggest is a launch for the kayaks but other than that......chef's kiss!!! We will definitely be booking again!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!! 10 STARS!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home and can’t wait to book again! The host was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, providing everything we could possibly need. Our group included four adults, two toddlers, and two dogs, and there was more than enough space for everyone (and all our belongings, including 2 vehicles and boat trailer). The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for families. My husband was especially impressed with the ice machine — such a convenient bonus to have on site!

The Mermaid House is Awesome! It has everything you need and then some! The pool is wonderful, crystal clear with an abundance of pool floats and toys! The beds are very comfortable. The driveway has plenty of room for our trailer and 3 vehicles. The ice machine is a big plus! This owner goes all out with entertainment for children. The two floating docks are very easy to access! We really can appreciate the care the owner takes in making your stay enjoyable!
