Picture Perfect

This has been the staycation of a lifetime for a large family gathering. Spacious, well thought out and incredibly comfortable. Parker is the best caretaker we have ever come across. He was charming and helpful and showed us around, but did not intrude. We loved the outside seating area and the chance to relax. The property has everything that you could ever want, and it was very clean throughout. The views are breathtaking and we felt so secluded and peaceful. We didn’t venture out - why would you when you have everything within the property?

Wat een uitzicht

We hadden een prettig verblijf in de villa, die heel ruim was. De weg ernaar toe is wel een uitdaging met een steile bergrit en een spannende zandweg. In de advertentie stond wel dat er een gym was, maar die was niet aanwezig. Voor de rest was alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het zwembad bracht de perfecte verkoeling na een partijtje tennis. Het terrein was perfect onderhouden. Mooie kamers met aangrenzende badkamer waardoor je veel privacy hebt. De keuken was mega goed uitgerust met heel veel materiaal. Jammer genoeg konden we door het algemeen brandgevaar in de regio niet BBQ-en. Maar dit was enkel voor je eigen veiligheid. De communicatie met de uitbaatster verliep heel erg vlot. Zeker een aanrader als je van complete rust houdt en op zoek bent naar stilte en natuur.

Family vacation at Can Lledo

This is a gorgeous home with amazing property and amenities. It is impossible to list all the extra features that make it special. Their caretaker (Parker) is a joy to work with. There were some challenges: power going out several times, flies and hornets, and the long and windy road to get to and from the property. It is worth all of that for this spectacular home, gorgeous pool and tennis court, trampoline, etc. etc. Perfect for a large family.

Incredible house for the perfect holiday

This place was really great - it's a beautiful house which is very well maintained, offering great entertainment for kids (games, trampoline, lot of space, pool) and adults (lounge, tennis court, etc.). The location gives a lot of privacy and incredible views and outlook. Great interaction and quick reply by the owner and well supported by house keeper on the ground. Thanks - amazing place i would recommend to larger families and groups!

Amazing week in Can Lledo

We rented this fabulous villa as a group of 11 (3 families) and cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. Great communication in advance from the hosts. Arrival was super easy with a very warm welcome from Parker (and Simba!). Its a really special house and we felt at home straight away. Really spacious and well equipped. Amazing grounds and we all loved the pool, tennis court, tree house and just generally exploring the extensive grounds. The surrounding area is fascinating and we took trips to Girona, Figueres, Monells and to the beach of Sant Pol which was a big hit with the kids especially. Finished our stay off with a trip to Cadaqués to complete the Dali experience - well worth a visit. Thank you for letting is stay at your beautiful home - we hope very much to come back !!!

A Stunning home with stunning views

It is not often anywhere I go exceeds my expectations, ESPECIALLY with children... but Can Lledo did just that. It was the perfect getaway with (or would be amazing without) kids. I can’t think of the last time I was so relaxed and enjoyed myself... it was definitely before children. It was just that, it was an actual Getaway. The views were incredible, the food and cava were even better than I had anticipated. It is paradise. I stopped several times throughout my stay to just enjoy the view. Everything is absolutely stunning. Can Lledo is a fabulous house with enough space to really spread out if you needed. Great for entertaining or separating the adults from the kids. It’s an amazingly thought out home. I am not one to ever write a review, so this should explain just how marvellous Can Lledo is for any kind of holiday you are looking for. Photos can’t do it justice.

Private Villa With Amazing Views!

Every area of the home offers a unique experience. The large kitchen has all you need to cook for a large or small group. If you don’t like to cook the owner can arrange for an excellent Chef to cook fabulous meals for you. We had wonderful dinners prepared for our family of 7 each night. In the mornings we had our breakfast and coffee at the outside dining table on the patio while we viewed the countryside and sea in the distance. Each bedroom is large and has its own bathroom. The outdoor spaces of the house are picturesque and neatly maintained. There is a very helpful groundskeeper who checked on us daily to make sure the pool was perfect and see if we needed anything. There are many sights to see in the area but there is so much you can do at the house. From the indoor game room to the outdoor pool and tennis court this house is fantastic. The owner is truly a joy to work with, very helpful and reply’s promptly to all questions.

Absolutely idyllic!

This house is in the most beautiful setting that you can imagine. Perfect for large gatherings with many amenities to appeal to everyone. We enjoyed exploring the area as well as not leaving the house some days. We wished we stayed longer than 1 week!

VERY DISAPPOINTING

We are two families who stayed at Can Lledo for a week in August 2018. The access to the villa is via a very steep downhill `dirt track` of around a car`s width and a kilometre long which was in a dreadful condition. Too many large rocks, `potholes`, uneven surfaces with a number of hairpin bends with sheer drops of hundreds of feet down the mountain on alternate sides. If we had been informed beforehand about this, we would either have not booked the villa or at least hired more suitable cars... like 4x4s with full insurance cover. As a result of this, we did not venture out in the evenings, not wishing to risk a return to the villa in the dark, although both drivers very experienced. There were other problems which spoiled two days out of the six days of our holiday. On the Wednesday we were told by the groundsman that maintenance workers were coming in the afternoon to `De-bug` the grounds. This meant we could not use the pool or the grounds/outdoor facilities for about four hours. On Friday (our last day) another team of gardeners arrived with power `hedge-trimmers`. The noise was deafening. We complained to the groundsman who advised the owners were arriving the next day and he had to get the villa ready for them. We of course were paying guests and we told him we felt he should have got workers in on the changeover day...Saturday. Another afternoon was spoiled. The owner had advised before our trip that the groundsman would be at the villa once each morning to check the pool and grounds. He actually was at the villa frequently three/four times a day and the owner did not mention until after we had paid for the rental that he would be accompanied by two huge dogs, one an Alsatian, the other an Alsatian/Husky cross. These followed him everywhere (including one day into our bedroom and en-suite when he was fixing a problem with the sink). Sometimes the dogs would venture into the villa on their own. Although these huge dogs were well behaved, they made a few of our party nervous. The property itself was very nice but the problems with the dirt-track and the maintenance crews spoiling two afternoons, prevented this holiday being exceptional, which we had hoped it would be.

The Most Beautiful Place....

We have stayed here 3 times now and every holiday has been amazing. The views are breathtaking, the pool is brilliant for both small and big children and the house lends its self to being both social and also having separate areas. We had a chef one evening that came and cooked giant prawns and squid on the bbq that the owners arranged for us - I would highly recommend this! What a wonderful house to stay in that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful, spacious property in the hills, perfect for families.

We had such a lovely week at Canlledo.Stunning location, and a very well appointed villa, perfect for multiple families with kids. The information folder was very detailed and accurate. We had a fab day at a water park, at the beach, and in Girona, all within a half an hour drive of the property. There is a lot to explore within the region, but we were equally happy to just hang by the pool and play tennis while the kids went hunting for snakes and crickets! We would happily return to both the house and the region.

Wonderful family vacation

My family and I had an amazing time at Can Lledo. The host, Nicola, was very responsive providing valuable information about the house and suggestions that made the vacation perfect for our family. Similarly, the caretaker, Parker, was a great resource for local information and we looked forward to his daily visits to check in. The house kept everyone happy and we all feel a bit guilty we didn't explore the area more, but nobody wanted to leave the house. Our two young kids played tennis, swam in the pool, explored the grounds, and wore themselves out on the trampoline each day. The location of the house is a bit off the beaten path but the views are well worth the effort and Girona and the coast are extremely accessible. We definitely hope to be back someday.

Can Lledo is a truely wonderful place to relax and enjoy life

Fabulous family vacation in a wonderful location. The time went too quickly, would repeat again in a minute. Everything was as promised and more, not to mention that Parker, the groundsman, was extremely friendly and helpful.
