"Had a wonderful time staying at the cozy shoehouse as we took a couple days to reunite with family after moving out of state. Spent 23 years in York visiting the shoe from time to time. It was very nostalgic inside and outside of the shoe. Unlike practically all shoes, this one did not stink."

"The place was nice and neat with all modern finishes. The two bedrooms had nice large beds with tvs and the kitchen was nice and new. The owner lives upstairs and lives there so being aware of the living situation is important but if you’re looking for a great view, location and place to stay that’s quiet and well appointed, this is it!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! The owners were on site so if we had questions or concerns it was convenient. They were wonderful with our kids and we enjoyed all the animals. The home was fully stocked with everything you could ever possible need(or in case you forget something at your own home). The beautiful sunrise on the deck with coffee, or even inside while having breakfast made it extra! We will absolutely be coming back for another great experience!"

"This place is beautiful! The house is extremely comfortable, well maintained, nice bathrooms and beds. Lots of utensils in the kitchen, laundry, etc. Rose is very sweet and kind, and her dog as well! Very friendly, my daughter loved it! I would definitely stay here again!"

"Cute property with easy access to our Conestoga wagon. We stayed for two days and loved it. Horse drawn buggies going by all day, nice little creek right next to the wagon. Very peaceful. Kathryn was very accomodating and promptly responded to my emails. We have twin 13 year old boys who are more like high school size and they enjoyed the bunk bed. We would definitely stay again."

"Our hotel stiffed us out of our room due to construction. Best thing that could have happened. Found this listing and its been a homerun. Our host has been great, the property and amenities have been fantastic. So nice to sit outside in silence and relax. Close to the attractions and local businesses that we wanted to visit.
