We very much enjoyed this house. Great location, stunning views and the house had all we needed for a large family vacation. The house was spacious, well-furnished and equipped. We had our dog with us and the fully fenced backyard was definitely a plus. The host, Wendy was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Overall, we all had a great time at this house and in the Crested Butte area.

The home is in a great location in proximity to the Mountain Wedding Garden. We appreciated the location. We were able to accommodate our family comfortably. We have utilized short term rentals all over the world. This could be a 5 star location with a few investments. The biggest issue of note is the driveway. As stated in the ad, a 4wd is required in the winter. Decorative gravel was in place upon our arrival in July. This did not compact. 4wd was needed for all vehicles. We were able to access via the neighboring driveway vehicles that were not 4wd. If the gravel was not present, I would say the driveway would have been accessible for all vehicles.

Wonderful July 4th week with friends and family

Had a fabulous time with a large group of teens and adults in this beautiful house among the wildflowers. Everything was clean and ready and we enjoyed the open spacious living/dining/kitchen setup for large meals and games. Close to the resort, hiking, and a short drive to town which had many fun summer activities. Well laid out and perfect for a group to have a great time.

Ski vacation

Birthday get away

Our large group had an amazing time on this birthday get away trip! Great access to the mountain and we also found the “homeowners” trail to get back to the house at the end of the ski day. Highly recommend!

Perfect for time in CB

Great location with easy access to the mtn and any town restaurants. Very spacious with plenty of amenities and very clean. Would recommend for large groups as there was plenty of space for all of us, and plenty of things around for anyone in the group that may not want to ski.

Mountain Wedding

Our family group of 14 found 32 Whetstone a convenient location for proximity to the Mt. Crested Butte wedding garden next to the Town Hall. The house provides a large kitchen and dining area. We loved being out on the deck in the evening around the fire pit and watching the stars. The CB shuttle was so convenient to get around CB.

Review

This is a fantastic property and great space for large groups. We had 10 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room. Slopes are a short walk down the street and there was also a free shuttle service that would pick us up from the drive when needed. Will definitely try to stay here again the next time we visit crested butte.

Great for Skiers

Perfect location for a large group of skiers. Easy walk to the slopes, the large table was great for dinners. Plenty of room for the 11 we had.

beautiful place!

large house all beds very comfortable . We had 7 adults and plenty of room for all. beautiful views! The driveway is a little steep and can be tricky when going downhill in ski boots to catch the shuttle. Younger folks are fine, but the older (over 60) people had to be careful. everything else was great!

Amazing views in Crested Butte!

The house is everything advertised and more. Very roomy, very well appointed and in a beautiful hilltop location about a mile north of the charming downtown area. Very close to great hiking trails, biking trails, and Mt Crested Butte. Highly recommend staying here if you are a large group/family. Very roomy and very nicely furnished. Our family truly enjoyed our week here. Especially loved sitting on the 2 different patios with incredible views early in the morning and evenings. On our first night, as we all gathered on the patio - 3 deer joined us on the hillside just behind the house. What a special treat for those of us that rarely see such beautiful animals in their natural habitat.

Perfect house for a long weekend in CB!

CB Weekend

We had some friends all come out to get together for some last spring skiing of the season. The house was amazing, in such a great location and the perfect size to comfortably fit everyone. The communication with the owner was 10/10 and i would 100% recommend

Beautiful house with prime location walking distance to the slope.

Only downfall was that the heat didn’t work too well and was not accurate. We had to turn the heat on and off using the electrical circuit breaker. But overall great house too stay with your family.

Warm holiday home

Great mountain retreat with plenty of space
