Butte Home

Wonderful home for Crested Butte vacation. Online photos don’t do it justice. View from deck is worthy of marketing photo for Colorado. Kitchen is a marvel. Highly recommend!

Our stay at this property was superb. All amenities are as listed on VRBO. Stunning views of the mountains and Crested Butte below.We were able to have our wedding and photos on the property amongst the wildflowers and breathtaking views.Would for sure stay here again, as it was an overall great experience.

Pictures don’t do this house justice. This is an incredibly spacious home with gorgeous mountain views. It is very well stocked with kitchen items, puzzles, and games. It was peaceful and great for stargazing (we brought our own telescope and didn’t use theirs which we couldn’t figure out).I didn’t realize that you need to drive 4.5 miles on an unpaved road once you enter the “neighborhood”. Getting down into the town of Crested Butte takes 20 minutes. With that said, Green Lake Trail cuts through the neighborhood so we did walk 2.4 miles down the road and then took the bottom half of the trail into Town and went to a bar and restaurant and then were picked up by family one day. There are no casual quick walks/hikes but plenty if you are willing to drive. We also weren’t able to rent bikes for the week as they wouldn’t fit in our car or be able to get up the unpaved road.The hot tub was clear and well maintained. There is a large grill and lovely outdoor seating.There are three bedrooms with queen beds and en suite bathrooms on the first level. We were able to use the double bed in the “craft room” which has some exposed space next to ceiling beams. As others mentioned it wasn’t ideal for those early to bed or kids due to noise. We used it for an adult and then let them use the master bathroom when they needed to shower.Kids and adults loved the Arcade room. (tip: the air hockey machine money door opens and you can grab the quarters we left to insert into left slot)

Wonderful Home

The house was wonderful and was the perfect place to stay in and watch the clouds form, gather, and dissipate and offered a great place to get out of the rain while still feeling in touch with nature and close enough to get back out there and be in the thick of it as soon as the sun starts peaking out from behind the clouds again!

Gorgeous, comfortable home

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home, great place to spend time with family and friends and enjoy the beautiful views. Only issue is that the dishwashers do not clean dishes well, though the rest of the kitchen was so spacious and great for preparing large meals together.

Guys ski trip

Absolutely gorgeous property. Great amenities and beautiful views. The only challenge is the road up the mountain. If you are coming in winter make sure you have a car that can handle the conditions. Rental cars don’t always have 4WD.

Amazing home with even more amazing views

This house had everything you could ever want and more. The consensus of our group was this was one of the best rental properties we’ve ever stayed at. We will 100% be coming back to this one. Kitchen was fully stocked and then some. But the hands-down winner is the view out of the living room window. Amazing stay top to bottom.

Spectacular view

Spacious and secluded house with an amazing view. Property management was very responsive. We had 12-18" of snowfall during our December stay, and the winding private road to the house was always plowed and passable with 4WD, although I would not recommend it with a 2WD vehicle during the winter.

Pictures dont do it justice

Pictures really don't portray how beautiful the views are from this property. The large window overlooks the town of Crested Butte and has several mountains in view as well. It was a true Christmas wonderland for us. Snow everywhere and we even got several inches of snow on Christmas day. There are sleds in the garage and I think the adults had even more fun than the kids racing down the road. The house has plenty of space for sleeping and gathering and so many different areas to have fun an enjoy activities. We all loved the game room, fireplace, theater room, and hot tub (the views at night are amazing, so many stars). Eric was awesome as he was super responsive and always trying to help trouble shoot even when it was my own vehicle that was having problems. He even put up a Christmas tree for us. Very thankful. The kitchen has everything you need and more. There are so many things I could go on about but it was truly a perfect Christmas for my family and I. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. I would love to come back again!

Fantastic Week!

Entire extended family - six adults and three children - enjoyed a glorious week in the mountains at this wonderful home. Every family member was able to enjoy their time together - or apart - taking in the sites, hiking, fishing, and exploring Crested Butte and beyond. The incredible kitchen allowed the family to participate in meal prep and clean up. We have never stayed in a VRBO in which the kitchen was so well equipped with a mix master, insta pot, crock pot and a wide array of spices and condiments. The bedroom accommodations allowed every family unit access to at least one private bathroom. The media room gave everyone the opportunity to rest from our activities of the day. And the views…… oh my! Eric was responsive to all our needs … directions were clear and check in - check out - was a breeze. Thank you for sharing your home with us … our family had an extraordinary mountain experience.

Luxury accommodations, amazing views

Our party of eight had a great time in Crested Butte, hiking, jeeping, rafting, golfing and shopping. The cabin was a super place to call home for the week, very private and quiet, luxurious and accommodating. Supreme views from the home, like going on a hike without leaving! We cooked most of our meals in, as the kitchen was a pleasant place to be, and a great dining table to facilitate long meals and conversation. Quite the chess board in front of the picture window, great in the evening or a rainy day. Property manager friendly and responsive. Great experience!

Incredible home

Our family and friends came to this house for the holiday. We were blown away when we walked in because this beautiful home is even better than the pictures. The views were breathtaking. We read other reviews about the elevation of this home and we managed great. The roads up to the house were very well maintained and plowed- my Honda Odyssey with snow tires didn’t have any trouble at all! The property manager was very responsive and even picked up our ski rental shipment that arrived early and brought it to the house. Everyone in our group talked about how this is probably the greatest house we’ve ever rented. The board games and arcade in the lower level were perfect for everyone- my 5 and 7 year old played for hours, giving the adults time to chat and hang out. Overall, we had a fantastic time and plan to return! THANK YOU!!!!

Beautiful House with Spectacular Mountain Views

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed the home and the view is spectacular! Very well stocked kitchen, linens and cleaning supplies. The picture with the bunk room needs to be removed from listing. Luckily we brought an air mattress with us. Thank you for sharing your home!!!

Family Week Vacation

We have an AMAZING time. The house is so lovely, well equipped with all your needs. Lots of space for everyone. Will defiantly be staying again. The host and property manager are very nice. Easy to speak with and answered all of our questions we had before renting. Thank you so much for letting everyone enjoy your lovely home. Just breath taking views. Winter wonderland experience

Our family of 11 spent 6 nights at this fabulous home over Christmas. The setting is truly amazing from all angles. We felt like we were living in a winter wonderland. The kids sledded down the road and we tromped around on snowshoes. Sled and snowshoes were in the garage. It was very convenient to the snowcat trails which we so enjoyed. The drive up and down the hill from downtown Crested Butte in winter takes about 15 minutes going slowly. Some in our group went down to ski a few days. Our property manager was very accessible answering all our texts immediately…. Even during holidays. I’m not sure it is mentioned in the website that the house sits at 10,500 feet which made it difficult for my husband to breath and function well but we managed. I highly recommend this home for a large family group. Even in the winter the house stayed toasty warm and the immense second floor open living/dining/kitchen was more than spacious for us to all gather. One of a kind home and experience!

View amazing, in the clouds

We enjoyed our stay overall, really a dream home, atop a mountain literally. A handful of us (14 in our group stay-grandparents, kids, grandkids) suffered with the altitude sickness sadly, remember you're up close to 10,500 ft! There were places in town, down mountain Crested Butte for IV's, hyperbolic oxygen chambers and even a place that let us rent an oxygen machine to have with us at the property, super helpful. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs, each with their own en suite which was great. The bathrooms could have been cleaner (dusty mirrors and not thorough floor cleanings but lovely nonetheless). 1 of the 3 was a bunkbed room which the kids loved and also the game room (pullout sofa) and movie room were big hits with them. The master bedroom is upstairs and is huge with massive bathroom, walk-in closet, fireplace and walkout to the back deck. (Sadly, our stay end of May/beginning of June had the deck completely covered with snow, ha!) The 2nd "bedroom" upstairs is more like a playroom off of the living room, the walls do not go to the ceiling and we were not able to put kids to sleep at all in that room-late nights/early mornings, everything could be heard. The kitchen is amazing, chef's dream! Although, for groups with kids it would be great if more kid-friendly items were made available-highchair, booster seats, baby gates for the stairs (huge!). We ran out of dishwasher cleaner the last 2 days so maybe could be a bit more stocked for us larger groups. Unfortunately, the DVD player didn't work so we were unable to utilize the vast library of movies available, much to the kids disappointment and the hot tub (which was a main selling point for us!) was broken our entire stay. We worked with Eric, on-site manager, with these issues and he was attentive but even after we'd all returned home I would have loved a final message offering a credit or discount on next stay, etc. but we heard nothing? I texted to inquire more and received no response. We're a large group and don't mind paying for premium properties. In our past experiences, when something that is advertised is missing or broken its common to credit something back, at least the cleaning fee? Overall a memorable stay in a magical mountain retrea!

Best Mountain Views Ever

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at this gorgeous vacation home. Our children and grandchildren joined us and the place was comfortable, large, and had every imaginable amenity. The views from the porch of the mountains would be hard to match. We took many hikes in the area and never really saw any of views that beat the one from the back porch. This is a perfect place to enjoy the best of Crested Butte with your friends and family.
