"The Bothy is a great find. Intimate space ideal for a couple that would suit a small family too. Bothy was spotless. Some nice walks nearby and interesting spots a short drive away. The hot tub is really welcoming on a cold evening."

"This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!"

"Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean."

"We had the best time at this cottage! Elaine is such a lovely host—quick to respond and really thoughtful. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a peaceful getaway. It had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. A special thanks to Elaine for kindly allowing us an extra 30 minutes for checkout, which made things so much easier. Overall, spot on experience from start to finish. We’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back again."

"The Bothy was a lovely place for a break away. Quiet but close to Moffat and beautiful walks all around. Karen was a wonderful host along with her dogs Suzy and Radley. Communication was quick and helpful. We loved the wood burning fire in the evenings. Thank you Karen for letting us enjoy The Bothy. Will definately be back in the future."

"Sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes, schönes, großes Cottage. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert und sehr nett. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und schön. Ein Ort zum Abschalten und den Trubel zu entgehen. Es gibt in der Umgebung viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und auch für Kids zum Entdecken."

"Caravan was comfortable and was OK for the couple of nights we stayed However some half used items of food had been left in the fridge and the furnishings were a little worn. Caravan and bed were creaky although this was mainly down to the high winds the weekend we were there."
