The Space

Spread across two floors, the farmhouse offers flexible living for families of all ages. The ground floor features a large open-plan kitchen and dining area seating 16, plus comfortable lounge space for everyone to gather. Upstairs are 7 bedrooms in a mix of doubles, twins, and singles, served by 4 bathrooms and a separate WC with basin. Guests also have private use of the on-site games room and summer house — perfect for entertaining children and teenagers while the adults relax.

Outside, the enclosed garden is yours alone. Soak in the wood-fired 8-person hot tub under the stars (please shower before use; no pets in the hot tub), gather around the fire pit, or fire up the BBQ. The garden is fully enclosed and safe for children and well-behaved dogs, with a trampoline and garden games for younger guests.

The Neighbourhood

Tollgate Farm sits in the rural Weald of Kent between the pretty market town of Cranbrook and the village of Sissinghurst, home to the world-famous Sissinghurst Castle Gardens (National Trust). The area is rich in history, walking trails, and outstanding gardens. Nearby highlights include Great Dixter House and Gardens, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle, and Bewl Water. Rye, Camber Sands, and the scenic Kent coastline are within easy reach. Cranbrook High Street offers a range of independent bakers, delicatessens, cafes, and pubs.

Getting around

The nearest train station is Staplehurst on the Southeastern line from London — approximately a 10-minute drive; we recommend pre-booking a taxi. The property is best accessed by car and is well connected via the A229 and A262. Free secure parking for up to 8 cars is provided on site. Postcode: TN17 3NX.
