We love Patrick and Rich! We had a fabulous stay and will be returning. Patrick met us in town to help with our luggage, and helped us to find dinner to take back. Rich is awesome very attentive to everything we needed. Beautiful property nice and quiet couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thanks again for a great family vacation.

The house was spacious and well appointed. Everything was very clean and had plenty of bottled water and basic supplies. Our host, Patrick answered all my questions quickly and met us in San Miguel to lead us to the house. Rich, who lives on property was excellent and even though he spoke little English and we spoke little Spanish we never had any issues communicating. The area the house is located in is a great location for those seeking a more authentic and less touristy option. It is also great for those who are more into the outdoors as it is an easy drive to Punta Sur and the excellent beaches on the east side of the island.I would highly recommend this property.

Peaceful villa

This is a beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood 25 minutes from downtown Cozumel (San Miguel). Birds flying around in the yard, coconut palms, bananas, avocado trees, beautiful pool. Wonderful enclosed porch with mosquito netting (although we never saw any). Bikes were nice for getting around the area although a car is a must here or really on Cozumel in general if you want to get a feel for the whole island. A few things to note: (1) the ac is only in the bedrooms—we got used to this but it would have personally been too hot for me to stay there in the summer. You can try to make it cooler by closing all the blinds in the common areas and letting the ac in the rooms make its way into the common areas but that makes it dark because the blinds are wooden slats meant to protect in case of hurricanes and you don’t get the full feel and beauty of the house (2) the maid maid may turn off the hot water heater when she comes to clean and you may need to turn it back on—switch is in the kitchen—(I figured that out the hard way at the end of a cold shower) (3) some of the ATV tours come right by the house so it will be blissfully quiet other than 2 minutes, 4 or 5 times (?) a day. Plus is, you are very close to the ATV tours to Jade Cenote if you want to go. We loved El Cedral and thought it was a fabulous place to stay. The only real downside is that it is so far from restaurants and grocery stores. There are some restaurants at nearby beaches but they close at 5 or 6. We would stay there again but probably only in the winter.

Away from town but PERFECT!!!

The property was extremely well kept. The pool was a little smaller than the wide angle lens made it appear, but it was a perfect size for us and it had a wading area! It was tucked away about 20 minutes from the port but was so amazingly quiet and the beaches were only a 5 minute drive. The beds were comfortable and they had shampoo and medicine available as well. They do your laundry daily and were very timely with the return! Would go back in a heart beat!!!

Paradise

This home is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. We stayed at the property our first day and just enjoyed it. We even swam at night one evening. The living room and eating area adjacent to the kitchen does not have air conditioning so we could only sit there in the morning. July is just too hot and humid. Same with the terrace. But we tried at least once to use these areas because the house is so gorgeous. We will be back but probably earlier in the year so we can really enjoy the areas without AC. We are looking forward to staying again and bringing more family. The trash service and cleanup was great. You don't need to bring towels for anything. We packed ours anyway - save suitcase space use what they provide. Anything you need to cook and serve a meal was in the kitchen and the storage pantry had extra toilet paper and paper towels. You won't be sorry if you book this outstanding rental. We brought my mother to Mexico for the first time for her 75th birthday and she was blown away by the house. Don't think twice. Book it.

Magical!

We traveled with our family of 8 consisting of myself and my husband, our kids and spouses ranging from 21-16. Patrick met us in town after we picked up our cars and groceries and took us to the property. He gave us a quick tour, answered any questions and introduced us to Rich, who lives with his beautiful little family on the property and takes care of it. The property was wow! gorgeous, even better than the pictures. Fresh flowers in vases when we arrived that lasted the whole week, probably longer. It was very clean and comfortable. Everything you could ever need was provided, and extras for restocking. Anything you needed to prepare, cook and eat your meals. There were fans in every room for great air flow, a/c in bedrooms worked great! It is beautifully decorated. Big windows with shutters, great flow and multiple areas with plenty of seating to be together or have some space to yourself. Games, hammock, bikes, laundry room, pool, outside shower(so cool), fire pit, loungers and table outside, huge yard space all around the home with amazing landscaping, fruit trees and flowers, fountain with frogs, and much more. The caretaker Rich, was great! He was present that made you feel safe and help with anything you may need, but not over bearing. (You don’t even realize they are there.) They took care of the garbage each day, washed towels, made beds(if kids didn’t do them😉), started a fire for us one evening, even cut open some fresh coconuts and left in the fridge for us. They take immaculate care of the property inside and out! We all felt 100% safe and comfortable. We rented cars so driving around wasn’t an issue. It was located about 20 min south of the main city, tucked away in a small little Village. So peaceful. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy everything it had to offer. Cozumel was such a fun vacation, but this home made it a dream, I would live there in a heartbeat! Highly recommend and most definitely will return and stay here again!! Muchas Gracias!!❤️

Great Property - Off the Beaten Path

"The Lodge" is really a great property for a quiet stay in Cozumel. It's a large, airy, comfortable home, with 3 bedrooms and sleeping arrangements for 6 people very comfortably, with the possibility of a few more depending on how you choose to combine in rooms. It has two separate large, open living areas, and the house and windows are designed so that you really can enjoy the ocean breezes that flow through the home. There are air conditioners in each bedroom to allow more comfortable sleeping, but during the day we really didn't need them because the breezes were so nice. The yard is very well kept, with nice landscaping and a great pool for the hot days. There's also a place to grill, and a nice area just to enjoy the sun. The one caution I would make is that if your goal is to enjoy a lot of the nightlife and activities in San Miguel, you might want to find another spot. This home is well away from the commotion, which we found lovely. We enjoyed cooking at home and spending quiet time at the house. Also, you will almost certainly need a car if you rent here, a fact Patrick (the host) was careful to recommend. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, still with access to Cozumel's beaches and diving, this is a great spot!

Jungle paradise

This is an amazing rental property. One of my favourite we’ve ever rented. Although it’s a bit far away from town(20 min), the home is located close to beaches and most activities. A rental car is a must. This house is so lovely- it’s very large, and suitable for families. My small children loved it as well. The owners really thought of the details in this home- there are places to hang towels, black out blinds, working AC, comfortable beds, clean linens and lots of towels for the house and beach. There are even spices and basic cooking supplies which really helps. We stayed there for three weeks and it was such a comfortable and great place to stay. The pool was great for my small kids, and the yard is a tropical paradise. The management was very easy to reach, as is the onsite caretaker. We loved this rental and would definitely stay here again.

El Cedral Family Vacation

The outside of the house was as impressive as the inside. The yard was well kept, we enjoyed the Banana trees and Coconut trees growing in the back. The pool was fun and there was plenty of space for the kids to play soccer and American football. We also took advantage of the firepit. The caretaker and his family were absolutely amazing and made our vacation more special. The inside of the house was clean and decorated nicely. It included some great extras like the cooler for the beach and shopping bags. With all the talk going on about safety and us traveling with kids I want to say we felt very safe in the area. Everyone we met was very nice and made us feel welcome. I enjoyed being out of the heavy tourist area. It was a quick drive to restaurants, beaches and town. 100% recommend this location, Thank You for sharing your lovely home.

We enjoyed this comfortable home with private yard and swimming pool. Patrick met us with an introduction to the island and places to go, and he was responsive for any questions or problems we had, and Ricalde was available any time we needed something. Highly recommended!

COZUMEL RETREAT!!

Best kept secret on the island, by far!! Situated in El Cedral we found the home PERFECT for our needs. Very quiet. Very beautiful as the grounds of the property are lush with coconut; banana, papaya and other beautiful landscape. Rich, the on site care taker was there for our every need. Thank you Rich!!! If being close to “touristy” attractions and shopping is your thing this home may not be for you. If you are looking for a quiet place with privacy this home is the best. A car rental is a must. All beaches are less than a 10 minute drive. San Miguel is approx 20-30 minute drive.

Great local location. Fantastic property and lots of support during the stay

El Cedral is non touristy. You get 4x4 track traffic and that is about it. Easy to get to some great beach locations. Great property and could have spent more time just chilling there. Had more than needed amenities and was fully supported by the property management and by local support of rich and his family. Was definitely a step up from a hotel or a more crowded area. Highly recommended. Village has character. And is very safe.

Relaxing Retreat

Situated away from the coast but activities are not far away but car is essential. Private property with bananas growing in the garden & visited by green parrots in the morning & evening. Suitable for all ages, families & honeymooners who wish to be a bit more independent. Caretakers provided chilled coconut drinks daily. Abertos restaurant is nearby & it is popular with many people.
