"The "cabin" is a beautiful small house that looks like it was built very recently. Lots of natural light, a big kitchen, and a very private feeling covered patio with a gas fireplace. The loft works ok for sleeping but the ceiling is low up there and it would be greatly improved with some curtains to block the early morning sun - and maybe some privacy curtains as well to separate that space from the rest of the house. "This place’s view was stunning. The cabin is exactly as pictured and cozy. The most important factors for us were that it was dog friendly and they had an amazing restaurant on site which was handy because there isn’t much around in terms of dining. This place is worth the drive and the hosts who live on site were accommodating but also gave you space. I would recommend this place to anyone going to the Powell river area"

"My husband and I stayed at The Cabin for a week June 26th - July 3rd, 2025. We were thrilled to find this perfect retreat in the countryside outside of Port Alberni and the proximity was perfect for us. Even though we didn’t use the amenities at all, we think they are all perfect for a family or group to use. Surrounded by lush foliage it’s a cozy place to enjoy the outdoors. We also did the farm tour which was offered as an activity. It’s so amazing to see how hard this family has worked in...

"It was delightful to stay at this quaint little cabin! It's well appointed with everything needed, and the location right on the beach is ideal. I had the pleasure of watching eagles, herons, seals, sea otters, and many more forms of wildlife right out the front window. The cozy fireplace is a great added touch for the cool evenings. If you seek quiet, solitude, and a beautiful venue to re-charge, this place is for you. "
