Being at 9,000 ft. elevation in the southern Rockies in a campsite sleeping in a teepee was a bucket list moment for us!! We saw some wildlife, smelled the pine and cedar and just enjoyed the gorgeous views and sunsets. The setting is surreal! The campsite has different areas, teepee, firepit with chairs and log stumps, outdoor shower, bathroom enclosure, and picnic/cooking area. The paths to each area are lined with wood branches and at night the solar lights illuminate the paths and is so pretty. The teepee itself is roomy and felt very secure. The second night it rained a bit and the winds were strong, but we felt secure and stayed dry. The mattresses were super-comfy, the linens were soft and the comforter/blankets kept us super warm. The outdoor shower was a fun experience. The toilet enclosure had everything you could need. Unfortunately, there was a burn ban during our stay so we were not able to have a fire in the firepit. The hosts do provide many amenities, but double check before your stay as the nearest grocery store is approximately 45 minutes away and you probably do not want to do the drive back in to town for a forgotten item. The hosts live on the property and met us when we arrived to show us around. All around a great stay where we made lifelong memories!!
