"Anniversary Stay at Bannisters Port Stephens We stayed at Bannisters to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The welcome was warm, and our Luxury Suite was clean and comfortable. However, we had hoped for a special gesture, such as champagne or flowers, to mark the occasion. Dining at Julio’s and Rick Stein was delicious but expensive, with disappointingly slow service. "This was a perfect little family friendly site for our family. We stopped as a half way point on our way from NSW to QLD and it had everything we needed. The shops within walking distance, great park facilities and the beach literally on the doorstep. We had an added bonus of a Kangaroo and her joey waiting to say Hello when we arrived. We'd definitely recommend, the only problem was we didn't stay longer."

"The rooms were large and beautiful. Beachy and upscale vibe. Location on the water was perfect and the restaurant attached was excellent. Breakfast with the restaurant windows open a stunning view and a great coffee!!!"

"Our stay was fantastic! The kids had absolutely ball in the pool and splash park. Our cabin was pretty clean and in a very convenient spot. Great spot if you have a boat"

"We loved the place except the tradies working below started making noise around 7am and went through until 4pm could not stay at the property threw the day too long as too much noise. Which was disappointing as it it a fantastic place."

"Thanks to all involved. This was super easy, room was spotless, easy parking, I wasn’t in my lowered car, so the steep driveway wasn’t an issue, but just an fyi for those with low cars, ‘tis a tad steep. Manageable, but steep. Staff were awesome! 11/10, will stay again. Gav"

"Room was clean and spacious, the property does need some updating but nothing that would stop me staying again. Might be time to look at the beds though, the mattress felt a bit tired"
