4 jours en Umbria environs de Cortona

Charme campagnard, typique du gîte. Accueil très sympathique, logement agréable climatisé. Proximité de Cortona, et au delà Assise, Arezzo et Castiglion del Lago. Séjour super : merci Anna Maria !

Lovely little home

My mom and I stayed at Casina del Bibo for four days. The location is perfect if you want to stay in a small village away from all of the hustle of the Tuscan hill towns. You will definitely need a car, though. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, which had two large rooms with king sized beds (and air conditioning, which was much needed!). The sitting room is cozy. There is a small kitchen that seems well equipped, although we didn't cook anything. Anna Maria and her daughter Lorella were very easy and quick to communicate with. All in all a really lovely stay.

Tuscan getaway

Our stay at Casina del Bibo was perfect and an ideal location to discover the beautiful countryside of Cortona.The house was rustic and charming and our hosts included some of their homemade wines for us too.

Fantastic stay in Tuscany

This is a charming house in a small town outside Cortona. Easily located near all the things you would want to see in the area. The host treated us like family and had homemade treats and wine waiting for our arrival. The house is perfectly suited for 4 people to stay and had a lot of charm. If you are looking to escape the hustle of daily life and relax this is the perfect location.

Just a wonderful stay and host

We enjoyed the serene and beautiful landscape around us. We didn’t rent a car so just relaxed in our beautiful apartment and walked the trails and shopped the local grocery who had so much great produce and food. Lorella and her mother were wonderful and so kind. They had Tuscan snacks and wine on our arrival and even surprise treats. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely Fratticciola

The property is in a great location, and very clean. Unfortunately, we did not see the host once during our 6 days stay. We enjoyed the garden and the drives through the countryside. The apartment is small, especially the kitchen area, although it is well-equipped. The second bathroom is outside the apartment, which we did not use. The Wi-Fi was very intermittent. Although the bedrooms were a good size, they did not have shelving for our clothes.

Perfect combination of location, convenience, beauty and hospitality

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed Anna Maria’s place. From Lorella’s welcome to the amazing Tuscan bread and figs. Their gifts of wine, food and most importantly, their warmth and friendliness. Fratticciola was the perfect home base for trips to Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano and Pienza. Everything was absolutely lovely. Grazie mille e Ciao!

Lovely spot to get away from the crowds

The Casina was such a lovely spot away from the crowds we'd seen in Florence and Venice. It was an easy drive to Cortona and Montepulciano and other towns in Tuscany. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 and well appointed. We were greeted with a plate of bruschetta, wine and other treats when we arrived. The kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast or an easy dinner. Laundry and shopping were a short drive away. Would definitely stay there again.

Charming farm house

Beautifully located in a small village just outside of Cortona, with small grocery store only steps away. Very well appointed. Host was very friendly and fluent in English. Excellent restaurants within close range by car.

Great location

We chose this apartment based on the location and the reviews and we’re not disappointed. Ideally located for exploring the region. Communication with the owners was prompt and easy. There was a freshly prepared plate of savoury goodies and a bottle of homemade wine for us to enjoy. The kitchen and bathroom are both quite small by North American standards but adequate for our needs. The entire apartment was extremely clean. Having access to an outdoor area was greatly appreciated. The hosts were very kind and helpful when needed.

Schöne Ferienwohnung im Naturparadies Toskana

Schon das Ankommen war ein Erlebnis: unsere Gastgeberin empfing uns mit toskanisch bestrichenen Ciabatta und köstlichem Wein. Wir haben uns in der liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung mitten in der Toskana Natur sehr wohl gefühlt. Küche und Bad sind etwas klein, aber die gute Ausstattung macht dies wieder wett. Eine empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung mit netten Gastgeberinnen!

Traumhaft schön

Die Wohnung war sehr sehr sauber und schön. Auch an der Küchenausstattung hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben von der Gastgeberin des Hauses ein kleinen Willkommensgruss bekommen. Der Bestand aus Baguettescheiben mit verschiedenen leckere Aufstriche, einem Rotwein, selbstgemachte Kekse mit einem Mandellikör. Die Gastgeberin und ihre Tochter waren sehr herzlich und nett gewesen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tuscan Gem

We spent four wonderful nights at Anna Maria's casina. We were welcomed by her daughter upon arrival, and she gave us all pertinent information about the house and the surrounding area. I had indicated ahead of time that my daughter had a food allergy just to make sure we didn't have any problems during our stay. When we arrived, Anna Maria provided us with a wonderful bottle of Vin Santo and some homemade cookies, which she assured us she made specially for us without the allergens I had mentioned. The small apartment was immaculately clean and well-provisioned. The location is perfect: in the quiet countryside, yet within 45 minutes of many amazing Tuscan hilltop towns. If you intend to explore, it will be best to have a car. Waking to the sound of chickens, sleeping in the absolute darkness and silence, looking out from the front balcony at the rolling hillsides...a Tuscan dream. Spend some time with your espresso on the balcony early in the morning and listen to the town come alive. BE SURE to visit Cortona (15 minutes or less by car). Our hosts could not have been more gracious and helpful. Thanks to the entire family for our five wonderful days in Fratticcola!!! We hope to come again.

House in Tuscany

The house is located in Fratticcola near Cortona. The house was spacious and very clean.The kitchen had all you would need to cook. The hosts were very lovely and friendly. The hosts have limited English but we were able to communicate well with our limited Italian and phone translation app. Anna Marie was a joy to meet and she was so accommodating with wine, fruit and bread. Since we arrived late and had not eaten since morning this was a treat. I highly recommend.

Great Rural Stay near Cortona

The apartment was clean, well appointed, and has character. It was perfect for the two of us. The host and her daughter greeted us with homemade local foods that were fantastic and very much appreciated. The family works together to take care of the property and guests. The area is beautiful and within driving distance to many Tuscan towns. There is a family winery with tastings and appetizers upon request within 200m of the apartment.

Absolutely Lovely!

My husband and I were greeted by Anna Maria’s lovely daughter who showed us around the property and made sure we were properly settled. Anna Maria had left us homemade bruschetta, wine, and biscotti - all were absolutely delicious! The views and sounds of nature from this darling apartment were everything my husband and I hoped for, and the trip to the town, Cortona, was the favourite part of our trip to Italy! We got to say goodbye to Anna Maria which was an absolute treat - very warm and friendly. We would definitely come back! Thank you!
