The location was fantastic and right on the beach. The condo was just right for my family of four and the kids were obsessed with the beautiful pool area. The beds were comfortable and clean. Overall cleanliness was ok ( the baseboards and grout could use a good scrub). The only real downside was that there was no ice maker and no ice trays. No ice on the beach wasn’t ideal.

The rental is adorably decorated, in a fabulous location & has great amenities! The view from the patio is superb! Dunes & waves with my coffee? Yes, please! Want to take a break from the ocean? No problem- check out the pools! Our family had an amazing time & hope that you will enjoy this location as much as we did!

Family Getaway

Great little efficiency unit. The Mayan Princess is a group of privately owned condos so each unit is kept up per the owner. This until was well done and well kept. The pictures are accurate. Only downside is that the kids sleep in the main area so parents will likely need to retire to their room or the balcony when the kids go to sleep. As for the Mayan Princess, it is an older property and while they are doing work on the pools to give them a facelift, the communal property is showing signs of its age. The hot tub worked and one of the pools is heated which was needed for a cooler than expected spring break. The nearby beach is about 8 miles south of the busier Port A beach. So if you are looking for a little quieter beach experience, this is the place for you.

If only the appliances worked.

The refrigerator ice maker did not work. The dish washer did not work correctly. The tv would not turn off. When reported the girl said ok ordered a part for the ref.and that was the last time I heard from her. When we left. The ref ice maker did not work the dishwasher still did not work correctly the tv never turned off and I almost forgot we killed a 2 inch bug in our room. When reported the girl said when you see little ones let me know.

Will be back!

We had an amazing time here at this condo. Other than a very few little cleaning issues the property was perfect. We loved the way it was decorated and it was exactly as described in the listing. The resort pools were fabulous and you can't beat the easy boardwalk access to the beach. The views are beautiful and the people at the Mayan Princess are very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Dirty and Dated

This unit is in need of some serious updating and care. To start, the front door, fridge and washing machine all had black mold to the point I was constantly washing my hands. The Washing machine was especially bad to the point where I rewashed all my clothes once I got home. Ceiling wood was buckling in several places. Upon arrival the unit had ants and cockroaches. We were only provided one trash liner, when we asked for another it took a full 48 hours for us to be provided one. One liner for a family of 4 when we did all of our own cooking for a week is not enough. In communication with the Vacasa staff I felt like I was texting a bot or at the very least someone not interesting in responding. Each time I had a question or issue I was asked my name and dates of stay. The WIFI constantly kicked us off or made us re-login. The best thing about this place was the boardwalk access to the beach but I'd probably rather take a short drive from another hotel than deal with this mess again. This place was also quite a bit more than other hotels I have stayed at in the past as well. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Livin' on island time

This is a great location with the pools right there. We really enjoyed the excellent access to the beach. Too many other places we would have to load up the car just to go to the beach. the beach was in easy walking distance. We've been a lot of places in Port A over the years but this was the best.
