North Padre’s great getaway

Enjoyed staying at this three-story three bedroom 3 1/2 bath home. You can literally fish out of your backyard. Perfect set up for people who love to fish.

Excellent family vacation.

We love this place! Plenty of room for all of us (2 grown sons & wife/gf) to have our own space & spend time together. (Porch, pool, or doc) Great fishing right off the back porch. Owners are awesome folks!

Blue Condo

This condo has just about everything you need. If it’s not there, the store is not to far away. Also the owner, Richard, is very nice and accommodating. Fishing on the pier was outstanding. The beach access is close by.

Excellent as always

The grandkids love the fishing on the private pier. I would go as far as saying it is actually catching, not fishing. Everyone caught a lot of trout. Neat way ever to introduce kids to fishing. We have been here a few times now and always have a good time.

Excellent Fishing Haven and Superb Hospitality!

This was our family’s second time staying in Unit 3. We love the lit pier which attracts a variety of fish at night to entertain those fishermen in our family for hours! We caught flounder, sand trout, speckled trout, baby reds, ribbon fish, hard heads, perch, lady fish, and others. On this trip the grandparents joined for a few days and then family friends joined for the remainder of our stay. We had plenty of room to accommodate our guests, to fix meals together and enjoy eating the fish we caught. The teens enjoyed the pool, fishing, and the close proximity of the beach. My son and husband had a blast going on a private fishing trip guided by Mr. Painter. He is an experienced angler who knew the best spots to fish. They caught reds and black drums! Mr. Painter went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable! There was a local grocery store (IGA) less than a mile away and easy access to the beach. Would highly recommend this place for those who love to fish, who want to get away to relax, and enjoy making memories with family and friends.

Welcoming and Convenient

-Richard and James were very helpful! Took our kids out for their first boat ride ever with life jackets -Easy short drive to the beach -Some items needed repair but they quickly got fixed -Need to bring your own fishing gear as there aren’t any to borrow -Bring your own toiletries like shampoo and conditioner. Was hoping there’d be some available for the price -Overall, wonderful stay and very comfortable!

Good overall, but details could make it great

Arrived over an hour after check in time and was greeted by friendly host who showed us the property. The garage was full of saw dust on the floor and tools, once inside place was cool and clean. The deck was full of paint drop cloths and empty paint buckets. The host apologized and immediately cleaned up garage and deck. Downstairs bedroom closet was musty smelling and completely unusable due to large stuff in it and the smell. Some dishes/utensils were dirty but with the clean dishes, bar stools were wobly/loose legs. A couple doors had loose handle and screw backing out. Linens were clean but not enough wash/hand towels and no bath mat. All bathrooms only had pump hand soap at sink but no bath soaps. Host was very responsive and willing to correct anything immediately. The AC was very good and kept place cool! Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates and appliances. Pool was clean. The 2 story deck at night was awesome for fishing! Deck was perfect for morning coffee in the shade over looking water. We had a good time at this place but with just a little more attention to some details this place would be incredible.

Fishing Paradise!!

We really enjoyed this house. It is clean and a very nice location. We love the balconies of every level of the house. The fishing dock is excellent for fishing at night. when the dock lights are on the fish are on as well at night. Fish are chasing bait and you can see them big fish swiming around the light. We caught a lot of fish including flounders, speckle trout, red fish, croker, whiting and lady fish. We have so much fun. Our friends are planning to book this place in late July and my brothers want to go back already. Richard and James are awesome!! They are so freindly and helpful. They make us feel welcome. Thank you Richard and James for making our trip fun and enjoyable.

We are so glad we took a chance on this last minute get away. We arrived a little later than we thought and it was dark, however Richard came out to greet us and show us the property as soon as we arrived and we loved it! The property is very clean and spacious. We had all of the amenities that we needed and were set for the weekend. We had access to access to groceries nearby, and were able to do some fishing right off the pier. Again, we would like to thank Mary Ann, Richard, and James for being extremely responsive and helpful.

Nice spot close to the beach!

This property is in a great location. The beach is just a short walk away and the dock on the property was great for fishing! Inside the condo was super clean with amazing views of the bay. We enjoyed eating dinner on the patio watching an amazing sunset multiple times throughout our stay! Would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Great hospitality and super convenient private fishing pier!

The owners are onsite just next door and they're very friendly and hospitable from the time we checked in to the day we left! Would definitely go back if we want to do some fishing with the kids again. We love it the pier is just right outside the backdoor so we can go do some fishing whenever we want while the kids can run around the house when they want to do other things. Highly recommend this place!

Fishing paradise

Richard and James were great to work with and the location of this property and a truly special private dock made the entire trip. My kids were able to bike to the beach in 5 minutes or hang out at the townhome and fish for hours. My only issue was one of the beds was nice and firm/comfortable but the frame likely needed an adjustment. Not a huge deal though.

Great place to go fishing

Great place and location. The place was nice and clean and the area was a great place to fish. Private in the sense that there isn't any other property in the area besides the four units. would definitely plan on coming again. There is a lot of stuff in the garage though not sure why.

Fish Beach Family Fun

Perfect fishing spot on the island! Our days began and ended with fishing, and sandwiched in between were the beach and pool. The townhome is also spacious and quiet. To make it even easier to get around to the beach and Packery Channel we rented a golf cart. The double decker dock is perfect and the lighting at night made it even better, the whole family could enjoy fishing. From the dock we caught speckled trout, crab, toad fish, sand trout, and tons of ribbon fish (you could see the reds and the flounder, they just wouldn’t bite…LOL). Our boys enjoyed a fishing trip on a boat, and were able to snag 3 giant black drum. Our family had a blast and we are looking forward to our next trip…so much fun!
