Nickel and dime do not rent with this company

Upon arrival we found baby toys that did not belong to us. The New wave company’s send you a discount code for golf cart rental but your home is not zoned for golf carts which means illegal to drive them to your home. The grill is in rusted and broken. Looks like they found it on the side of the road. I now understand why they don’t have any photos of it. Brand new home with old rusted pots and pans. We brought our dog so they charge 75 for a pet fee then change 50 for a pet odor/ clean up fee on top of that they charge you 3.5% and taxes before you even step foot in the home. You received a contract that you will need a lawyer to decipher. We checkout and my card is billed 168 dollars for dirty towels and a stain on the comfort I guess they don’t wash. they just decide to replace them. From the get-go this company is just gonna nickel and dime. Do not rent this property. The pool is a little bigger than bathtub. You don’t have access to the long backyard driveway. We stay on the island every other weekend. We fish a lot and our family members are Port Aransas, Texas locals. We have stayed all over the island and this has never happen. This company is just looking to changer you. Don’t be fooled. Save your money.

Family getaway

Overall the house is very comfortable. Need more cooking pots and pans. We brought our own pans and we were able to cook for everyone. Did not get to use the pool as there were too many mosquitoes and not enough lighting. Pool could use some lights.

Nice clean place to stay!!

This property was amazing! It was perfect for our group of friends! Plenty of towels for everyone, place to play outdoor games, and just comfortable!!!!

Family vacation 2024

New build, was very clean and spacious. We did not feel crowded at all… we had 10 people with us. I will say for future guests, you are not able to rent a golf cart due to location, so if that’s something you due at beach don’t book. There was very few pots/pans… when I say few I mean one small pan to cook in for 10 people. Pool is a cocktail pool… very nice. However no pool lights or if there was no instruction on how to turn on, so unable to swim at night. Overall, nice place and would book again.

Beautiful home but extremely small pool

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very modern and fairly new. We didn’t have any issues with the house but I truly hoped for a more inviting outdoor area so we can spend time out more. There weren’t any hanging lights like the surrounding homes just outdoor lighting that wasn’t very bright. There wasn’t an outdoor patio table just chairs, plenty of outdoor chairs. The pool is a cocktail or compact pool. Although the home sleeps 12, the pool comfortably fits 3 but no swimming because of how small it is. It’s more of a spa with no jets. The house did have everything we needed and rooms were spacious.

Suggestions to make the Skiff House better

-picnic table -2 more tv’s -Shade/shelter by the pool -Short hose for up stairs to wash shoes off -Skiff house could use a LIFT for groceries, bags and luggage. -The skiff house stairs are more than usual and anyone with the slightest disability could not use that home.

Vacation rental property could be managed better for a good experience

We stayed in this property in early Oct. This is a relatively new property and had a decent set of facilities inside. This property is shown at a different place in all major maps but the property owners had sent us directions to this place. Though not very clear we somehow made it there. There was no internet in the property when we checked in and we had to call the property manager who managed to somehow point us to a disconnected device which was the internet hotspot device. We realized that there might not have been a proper walkthrough done before our check-in. The property had sufficient rooms and beds but could have had better supply of beach towels for a beach destination. There were no toys which was shocking to know as this is a common one expected these days. The furniture was decent for the most part but one of the chairs had a broken/flimsy leg that as soon as my friend sat on it the first time the chair let down on one side. The person was INJURED and that was a bad experience for us. What made it even worse was that they did not even reach out to us and charged us for the chair which seemed to have been broken already. We stayed there for 2 nights. The checkin and checkout procedures were well planned and easy. Overall a poor experience for us which could have been managed better. If you want a memorable holiday experience I would recommend trying a different property and a different vacation rental management in Corpus Christi.

Very nice house!

The house was very nice, pool was a little smaller than i thought it would be but we still enjoyed it. Wish the house was located on the side of town that you could drive golf cart rentals to the house property maybe Port A will reconsider driving restrictions to that side of the highway especially with the growth of the city. Overall was a very good stay. Thank you.

Everything was great. Definitely a new build and missing a few things I would add ASAP such as iron/board and lamps in the rooms with tvs in all bedrooms. But stay was delightful and we look forward to staying again

Short getaway

The property was well-kept. We could comfortably accommodate 12 persons. For the two days that we stayed, we had all we required. Update the property's location on Google Maps is the one and only advice offered. Oh as far as the pool its 5 feet deep just in case you have little ones.

A great stay!!

This was a great house. The only complaints we had were that the pool was extremely hot, there is no water circulating. The pool area also had some trash left from the renters before, like beer cans & a dirty diaper. The lights on the lower level were not accessible for guests but the company did offer to have someone come turn them on for us. There was also only 4 outdoor chairs, no furniture on the upper level balconys so we did have to carry them up and down depending on where we were hanging out, but there were never enough chairs outside for all of us to have a seat. The location of the house was wonderful & the interior of the house was immaculate! Would 100% stay again, new wave rentals seems to be an amazing company. I would recommend staying with them to anyone!

Good rental

The property was nice and new. A few pros- close to the beach. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. A few cons- Extra rolls of toilet paper not in each restroom. Not enough cooking pots and pans for a party of 11. Only one pot, one sauce pot and small pot. Only two skillets for a brand new property and the skillets look like they are from a garage sale. It would have been nice to have other kitchen appliances not just a blender. With a party of 11 we wanted to make dinner and extra appliances would be helpful. Other large rental houses we’ve rented from have small appliances that help us feel like we are at home and can feed our family after being out at the beach all day. The linens in the second master were not washed. There was dog hair and human hair. I randomly called the property management office and was asked if we needed the lights on for the pool. They had to send someone to turn them on for us. Wasn’t convenient, but glad they let us know. But, we wouldn’t have known if I didn’t accidentally called.

New and Clean!

We had a huge family gathering, and slept 11 people comfortably in this home. It was very clean and new. The plunge pool was an awesome bonus relaxing spot.
