Host interaction (Vacasa) needs improvement! Never received a complete message about getting into the condo. 3 phone calls later and 41 minutes after check in we finally got the door open. We were given wrong bldg number, original code to get in didn’t work. I first sent a msg at 3:28pm on checkin date asking for code and did not get a msg until 3:30 the next day, ultimately had to call so we could get in. The first night I took a shower, slipped in the tub fell out injuring my leg, back, shoulder and neck! This is the 3rd last time I will book with Vacasa, previous 2 stays had issues as well!

This condo was so adorable and comfortable! The location is fantastic. Close to the beach and the pool. Great view of the pond and the sand dunes. I could hear the waves coming from the Gulf.

Beware! Roaches!

Check-in was easy, location was a block away from whitecap beach BUT the building is run down, the room itself had an odor I could not describe but was masked by cleaning products. We could not access amenities due to a broken key fab that apparently no one was aware of. When we tried to contact this "Vacasa" company I got the run around about this mysterious "local staff" that "I could not contact but they would contact me" As we started to unpack we found roaches at every turn. Laundry room, kitchen, bathroom, EVERYWHERE! Even in the dishwasher! So we then had to call again and submit a report and we got the same message. We did not stay another night in that place. I am very surprised at the ratings this rental has because I do not wish our experience on anyone. The customer service was just not there. We are working on getting refunded and hopefully we didnt bring any critters home with us.

Well stocked kitchen!

The property itself was well maintained (though we did not use the pool, so can't comment there). Very close to Whitecap beach. The unit's kitchen was very well stocked with everything you'd need, with the exception of measuring spoons. I think there were a total of two and none of them were a TBSP. I texted Vacasa asking what kind of coffee maker we could expect and was told it was a combo pod/drip machine, so I brought coffee pods. Turns out it's a drip machine, so that was annoying. I'd suggest checking into the unit first before going to the grocery store. Laundry soap is not provided, FYI. The sofa has seen better days, but my daughter slept on its queen bed just fine. The mattress in the bedroom was fine (I prefer firmer, but it wasn't terrible). The TV in the bedroom doesn't allow you to add apps, so you're stuck w/whatever is installed. I did not appreciate waking up to the racket from the unit upstairs, which was very obviously undergoing renovation. Power tools, heavy objects being thrown on the floor, heavy footsteps. Just overall very unacceptable. I tried texting Vacasa, which I think is just a bot, FYI. Not an actual human, because the response was very robotic and unhelpful. Fortunately, the noise mostly stopped for the remainder of the trip. There were a few moments of noise in the afternoon, but nothing to get spun up about. I don't know that we would stay here again because the unit was small for us, but it's perfect for a couple.

Beware!! Roaches ruined our vacation!

Horrible experiencLimited on characters so to summarize- Pool key didn't work. Hours later Vacasa says they'll replace in the morning. That never happened. When we got back from the beach that evening, we noticed a roach on the kitchen sink! I contacted Vacasa. While I'm chatting, we find roach spray under the sink. We spray behind the fridge and about 10 more come crawling out!! We didn't want more to come out and get into our things so we stopped spraying. Had to rewash, inspect and repack all of our belongings on the balcony and then take all of our things straight to our car. Had to throw away food we had. Local Vacasa rep took hours and hours to try to "help" me. Tried to say basically everyone in Corpus has roaches. Ended up that they didn't have any other rooms. He offered to comp me the night if I paid somewhere else. I didn't want to be out more money for the already ruined vacation so we came home early. It had been nearly 24 hours since the roaches were reported and we were over the entire trip at that point. He wanted to offer 1 night refund! I reminded him our entire trip was ruined between the pool, roaches, and hours and hours of trying to communicate for a resolution. He agreed and said he would submit for full refund as soon as he charged his laptop. I texted receipt and haven't heard from him since. VRBO gave host 24 hours to respond before doing anything. Then sent to rebooking team who never contacted us. Had to reinspect all belongings at home

WORST STAY EVER..... Don't ruin your vacation!

Property Manager, Vacasa did not issue me a check in code for over 2+ hours after the time I was supposed to start my stay. They ruined my family plans for attending graduation by not giving me a place to change into my dress clothes or drop off my dog. I spent over 6 hours on the phone with first VRBO and then Vacasa. I sat in the parking lot in tears on the phone for that 2 hours while VRBO tried all day to reach Vacasa. Vacasa never returned a single one of my calls. I spoke to over 4 agents at Vacasa and all they would say is I needed to speak to the local Vacasa representative "Hector" and that he was out of the office and would call me back. Hector never called me back or emailed or responded to my requests. I have spoken to VRBO and they were very empathetic but said it was up to Vacasa. I thought by booking through VRBO protected a guest, but it did not in this case. After 5 days and having spoken to and emailed over 11 people, I was told I would be issued a $49 credit in 5 business days. I am very unhappy and can't believe VRBO would allow this treatment. I am a host myself and I would NEVER leave someone locked out of one of my properties, as I know people travel sometimes from a great distance, as did I. (6 hours) The condo itself was fine, but the owner needs to know that the property manager was unavailable and very rude. Showing NO CARE for my feelings or plans. Karol at VRBO tried again to call just now and guess what, it went straight to VM. NEGATIVE 5 STARS.

Great little condo close to the beach!

We were thrilled with the condo and its proximity to the beach. The area was quiet and easily accessible from the main roads into town. We had a few slight problems, but the building manager communicated promptly and was very nice. We will be back in the future and would love to rent another condo in this area. We were very happy and relaxed when we left.

Resting Beach Face

Super location and great communication! Only concern was the security of the front door lock. Also, some little ants arrived in the kitchen sink. Perhaps they were escaping from Tropical Storm Harold! Very relaxing stay.

Quiet and convenient

Property was exactly as described. Quiet, confortable and not lacking anything. Short distance to the National Seashore and Whitecap Beach. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay greatly

The unit was as described, perhaps even under rated. Complaints of a well-worn common area to the unit are accurate with peeling plaster and paint. I suspect they will be fixed in the future but the deficits did not reduce the enjoyment of our stay. We found the heated pool, hot tub, sauna, library and workout room to be fabulous and really accentuated our stay. The unit was cozy, comfortable and had the amenities we wanted.

Ready to Return

We love this little group of condos! It is a good location close to the beach and has a heated pool, which is great. The condos are for small group but work out well for our family of 4 for a short stay. We are ready to come back!
