Good but felt swindled

Really enjoyed this place. Good location, great layout, but can’t give this place a higher rating since we were severely inconvenienced. The listing said the property came with a private boat slip, which is why we booked it. We get there and the owner has their boat in the slip causing us to keep our boat trailered the entire trip when we weren’t using it. I had even called confirming the slip availability ahead of time and was assured the slip came with the property. Honestly, this would have been a 5 star review had the slip been available as stated in the listing. Rated it a 3 given the fact that I was partially refunded for my inconvenience.

Exactly As Advertised!

I really enjoyed this place! :-) It was exactly as it looks online. It was spotless. The bathroom was very nice. Towels and linens provided. Loved the stone floor in the shower! The shower door is beautiful - but heavy. Needs a little oil on the door wheels. TV in LR & BR. Great view off the dock - lots of fisherman taking their boats out to the bay! It has a boat slip, too! Close to restaurants, fast food, Starbucks and Surf Shop (Volcom, Billabong, Reef, etc). Just over the bridge. Close enough to the beach to walk, but far enough away so no noise. Very private. Easy to find off the main road. Quiet. It was like I lived there! If only for 5 days ;-). I would highly recommend this place. Even though the host fees are a bit higher than others, it's worth it! Property excellent, Vacasa not so much

The condo was great, just as described and in an excellent location for exploring the area. Calm and peaceful, at least this time of year.The last day before we left, the power went off at about 9:00 that morning, in the middle of making breakfast. We were hoping it was just a glitch and would come back on soon. When it didn’t, we headed out to find some breakfast. We discovered workmen who were replacing the entire electrical grid. This was obviously a pre planned job and no one had notified us to expect this. The power was not restored until late that afternoon. We have dealt with Vacasa before where we lost water three different times and were under a boil water notice. We were not informed by Vacasa until nearly a week later. If you call them, your call goes to somewhere in Oregon. They will not let you speak to the local office. Very poor management, we will avoid renting from them ever again.

A great property!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this location. The condo was very clean, great location and terrific access to the canals. While it wouldn't change my rating, a couple minor ways to make this property even better: 1) include a corkscrew - I had to go buy one (every other location we've been at had one), 2) replace the TV remote in the bedroom, it's broken and difficult to use. Lastly, if I owned the property, I'd reverse the doors on the refrigerator. Flip them to open to the left and greatly improve the "flow" of the kitchen. These are minor issues and will not prevent us from staying here again, which we will. We've also recommended to others as well.

Cute but Lacking

Really cute place with nice decor and thoughtful touches. Unfortunately, they really skimped on key details. The mattress was *terrible* — we got an awful night’s sleep. And the sheets/towels were Motel 8 quality.

Canal access was great, I put in my kayak easily and enjoyed the bay. Newly or just remodeled, loved everything with three exceptions: 1) The bed squeaked every time one of us got up, although the mattress itself felt good so it might have been the box spring. 2) A black out curtain would have been appreciated. 3) Check in time of 4 PM is too late and 10 AM check out is too early. 3 pm and 11 am would have been more reasonable.

This property was perfect for what we needed. It is not too far from TAMUCC campus. Our student and friends came over for dinner and a visit. We enjoyed a mini vacay around the island in in CC.

Wonderful condo and great location!

The unit was very clean and had nice finishes. We really enjoyed sitting at the table outside and watching boats and occasional fish jump out of the water! The condo is really close (a few min. drive) to Whitecap Beach, so it was nice to go in the morning, return to the condo for lunch and a nap, then head back to the beach in late afternoon. Check-in and check-out process was a breeze. Would absolutely stay here again!

Good visit

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was newly renovated and was fabulous! The only real negative I had was that parking was at a minimum. We ended up parking on the street because of the lack of parking spaces at the facility.

Trying times

Unfortunately, we were there at the beginning of the understated coronavirus spread. We rationed our toilet paper, we were left with a limited supply, and ran out of paper towels and garbage bags. Both the front door and the porch door are in dire need of repair. The complex is in a fairly convenient area, plenty of walking areas and also close to the beaches. It would have been nice to have an info sheet for surrounding area, and also a telephone # to contact for incidentals. (had to ask landscaper where to take the garbage)

Very cute and beachy

Loved staying here! Very cute and beach themed. Very homey and comfortable. Had an issue with washer not working but hotel manager made it right quickly. Will definitely stay here again!
