Great beach house

Vacation 2024

Great location with a nice walk to the beach. Shopping is in close proximity. The house was perfect for a big family. The propane grill was nice. Volleyball, basketball, swings, slide and pool were great for activity options. There are a few decking boards that are old and questionable. The upstairs carpet could have been cleaner but overall, really nice place to spend the week with family and friends. I would rent this house again.

Nice place to spend a September week

House was clean and everything was functional. Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. The pool and hot tub area was really nice having a cozy and private feeling. The top floor common area was great and wide open with a number of different spaces for people to do their own thing but still feel part of the group which was important as we sat out a tropical storm one of the days!

All it was advertised

The property was clean and comfortable for our family of 13. It was as advertised. It is a rather far walk to the beach but not a surprise. The pool was well used as was the grill which should be replaced before long. We were very satisfied with this rental.

Good and bad

The good: The house is large, the pool is heated, it’s in close proximity to the beach and grocery stores, and the rental agency was responsive. The bad: This house was built in 1995 and hasn’t been touched since. It’s a rundown rental and in desperate need of TLC. The exterior is moldy, the decks are old and in desperate need of paint, the pool / pool deck are worn out, and there is general bits of damage everywhere. But what really surprised me were the fees for not cleaning the house. Every rental has check out procedures, but this one came with fees for not taking the trash out ($50), not emptying the dishwasher ($20), and not stripping the beds ($20). Requiring your tenants to be the maids is bad business. Cleaning fees should be part of the rental cost, not the responsibility of the renters. If you’re a frat looking for a cheap house to trash on a graduation party, this is it. If you’re a family looking for a nice vacation home, shop around.

Family vacation

We loved the house, it was bright and very spacious, and our group of 9 were not on top of each other. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans and it was thoroughly enjoyable been able to cook breakfast for everyone. Even though the weather was lousy the whole week and we didn’t get any beach time, we took full advantage of the jacuzzi and pool table and bord games.

Family get away !

Perfect family property . Everyone had their own private space & bath . Pool clean warm ( needs a little paint repair) Hot tub very comfy. Yard was nice but needs a little more TLC to make it more appealing for parents and little ones.

Awesome experience

Was an awesome experience . Was a great location and house was just like the photos if not better. Enough room for all and the pool and volleyball court got a lot of workout when not at the ocean. The location of shopping was just minutes away as well. Thank you so much for a great experience

Two Oaks was as advertised and perfect for our family. The many decks, pool, hot tub and spacious yard made our stay special. The proximity of the beach via a paved path was a plus! Very convenient to stores, restaurants and shopping too!

The house was comfortable for our family. The walk to the beach with very small children and all their “stuff” was a bit of a challenge so we greatly appreciated the beach wheelbarrow. We loved the pool but the bottom was worn and needs resurfaced. Overall great property.

Great place for multiple families

Leslie is meticulous about cleanliness and neatness. The air conditioning was just right and made our stay very comfortable. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, play area, and sand in the volleyball court. A beach cart helped with carting everything to the beach. Highchair, booster seats, gates, and pack n plays were readily available. All in all, it was the perfect place we have been looking for for several years, but beware of the long lines getting on and off the outer banks.

Great vacation rental

This was a very nice rental home. It was very comfortable and spacious. We loved the fact that each room had either their own bathroom or direct access to one. The pool was nice and had many toys/floats for use. The kitchen was very roomy. There were 2 sets of dining tables which is perfect for big groups. The beach access was a short walk away, although when you're carrying lots of stuff, it might feel longer. Overall, this was a very nice home for our group.

COVID-19 Family Getaway

This was our first time renting a house at the beach and visiting the Outer Banks. The house had everything we needed... a ton of inside toys, games, pool toys, pack n play, high chair, kitchen essentials. I would stay at this property again and would recommend it to others. We stayed during a tropical storm and Leslie checked on us to make sure everything at the house was ok after the storm.
