We had a nice time but the house was very dirty!

Our stay in Corolla was pleasant but it would've been nice to atleast have a clean house. There were cobwebs hanging in door posts and off of light fixtures (especially the main dining room chandelier), dust on lamp stands, the living room rug was grossing my MIL out.( She even tried to vacuum it but the vacuum was pathetic) 2 of the shelves on the refrigerator door were broken and put in the pantry making it extra hard to squeeze all of our food into 1 full size fridge. The dryer took FOREVER to dry a load. The pool was heated 2 out of the 7 seven days we paid for..... thank goodness we had beautiful weather!! And the beach is always amazing! Oh, one last thing-- there was so much trash out by the pool area. If it's junk, throw it away. We were grateful for the boogie boards and other flotation devices for the kids to play with but there was a lot of trash to sort through. We'll come clean for you for a free weeks stay😁

So much space- everyone had their own bedroom- we never had a dull moment- between volleyball, swimming, hot tub, basketball, and the beach we were entertained. 5 minute walk to the beach-

THINK TWICE BEFORE RENTING THIS PROPERTY - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURE

I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. WE WERE FOOLED BY THE PICTURE . THE HOUSE WAS OLD AND NEEDED LOTS OF MAINTENANCE. THE POOL LOOKED VERY INVITING IN THE PICTURE BUT THE REALITY WAS EXTREMEMLY DISAPPOINTING. THE AREA AROUND THE POOL WAS SOOO DIRTY - FULL OF LEAVES AND ROCKS AND PEBBLES YOU COULD CUT YOURSELF IF YOU STEPPED ON IT BAREFOOTED - THE WHITE BENCHES AND WOODEN CHAIRS WERE FULL OF BLACK FILTHY DIRT AND COB WEBS YOU COULD NOT SIT ON IT. SOME OF THE POOL CHAIRS WERE BROKEN. WE RENTED THIS PROPERTY BECAUSE MY FAMILY LIKES TO HANG OUT IN THE POOL BEFORE AND AFTER THE BEACH BUT UNFORTUNATELY EVEN WITH MAINTENANCE COMING TO SERVICE AROUND THE THE POOL AND THE POOL - IT JUTS WAS NOT VERY INVITING BECASUE THEY COUKLD NOT REALLY DO A GOOD CLEANING. THERE WERE MOLDS AND GUNKY BLACK DIRT THAT HAS PROBABLY BUILT UP FOR A WHILE ON ALL THE WINDOWS AND THE DECKS OUTSIDE EACH ROOM THAT WE DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE SITTING OUT THERE. THE SHOWER RODS ON EVERY BATHROOM WERE RUSTY AND MOLDY - THE CEILING FANS WERE SO DUSTY - WE FOUND DEAD FLIES INSIDE THE KITCHEN WINDOWS AND ALL OTHER WINDOWS - LOTS AND LOTS OF DEAD BUGS WERE STUCK ON THE WALLS ON EVERY FLOOR AND ALL THE WINDOWS WERE FULL OF DEAD BUGS FROM THE OUTSIDE IT WAS SO DISGUSTING AND WE HAD TO SEE THAT EVERYDAY. THE REFRIGERATOR WAS BROKEN - THERE WERE NO SHELVES ON THE SIDE DOOR - THE ICE MAKER DID NOT WORK WE HAD TO BUY OUR OWN ICE EVERYDAY COUPLE OF DAYS. THE ROOM WITH THE DOUBLE BUNK BEDS SMELLED MUSTY - IT WAS NOT GOOD FOR ANYONE THAT HAD ASTHMA. ONE OF THE BUNK BED WAS BROKEN IT WAS SQUEAKING SO LOUD IT IS NOT SLEEPABLE FOR ANY ADULTS AND IT WAS CONFIRMED BY THE MAINTENACE GUY THAT CAME TO LOOK AT IT THAT IS WAS BROKEN BUT THE PROPERTY OWNER DID NOT CARE. FAMILY VACATION IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US SO EVERYTHING THAT WE FOUND HUGELY DISAPPOINTING ON THIS PROPERTY RENTAL DID NOT DETER US TO HAVE A GREAT TIME. WE JUST FEEL BLESSED THAT WE WERE TOGETHER , BUT IT ALSO WAS NOT FAIR TO MY SISTER AND BROTHER IN LAW THAT THEY HAD TO SLEEP IN THE LIVING ROOM SOFA ALL WEEK BECAUSE THE OWNER REFUSED TO REPLACED THE BROKEN BED AND INSISTED THAT IT JUST SQUEAKS BUT NOT BROKEN. BUT I BET THE OWNER WOULD NOT SLEEP ON A SQUEAKY BED. SHAME ON THE PROPERTY OWNER FOR CONTINUING TO RENT THIS PROPERTY WITHOUT INSPECTING IT AND FORESEEING IF ANY MAINTENANCE THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY NEEDS TO BE DONE PRIOR TO RENTING IT. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO DISREGARD FOR THE RENTERS.

DO NOT RENT from this realty company or Vrbo

To start, the listing seems to have been taken down and cannot be found on Vrbo when you search the property ID. Instead it looks like the link has been replaced newer pictures of a different yet similar looking property giving off the impression the property has been refurbished and updated. Upon arrival, the property was not cleaned, had a clogged sink and wet floor in a bathroom. Maintenance showed up to fix this issue during mid week because the previous renters had reported the issue but this was not fixed prior to arrival even though the issue had been known ahead of time. The deck is not well maintained and is dangerous to walk around without footwear on. Septic tank overflowed during the week as well which caused the down stairs bathrooms to be out of order for a time. Overall there is a lack of care in this property and seems like there is dishonesty about the current listing on the site. Extremely disappointed.

The first 2 days we had major sewage problems raw sewage backed up In the tubs and toilets.

The pool area was dirty with old leaves we had to clean up. Plus the pool was suppose to be heated but no directions were supplied to work either the pool or hot tub. The lower level bathroom also had a broken shower rod, which when we were finally able to use that room 3 days later, I pulled the curtain back and the rod rolled off the top of the shower and hit me on the head. So glad it was me and not one of my young grandchildren. Despite the issues with the house we as a family were glad to all be together and had fun after the past year of social distancing. The kids didn’t mind the cold pool, but us 8 adults never went into the pool not once. I feel we didn’t get all that I expected when I reserved and paid for. The manager was apologetic and it was embarrassing for me and him. We did give the manager a list of minor thing besides all the raw sewage backed up in the ground floor tubs and bathroom and wet bar, which we couldn’t use for the first 2 1/2 days. The manager did attempt to fix what he could. We took over 120 photos of all the issues. We bought the extra insurance for the house in case of damages but house was already damaged. Just don’t feel we got what we paid for. Disheartened, Colleen Hartle

Got text from management said they would come address concerns but didnt

Ac 3rd floor not working. Sent someone to confirm was supposed to send tech for repair. Never showed. Called to have pass tenants garbage cleaned in the yard first day there..they showed 6 days later, the day before we left.

Villa del Sol

Overall the house was great. A few inconveniences, only one bathroom, in a bedroom for the main living space... and then three sets of stairs to get to the grill. But great pool and hot tub, the volley ball court had too many rocks, could use more sand. Only a few blocks to the beach. Shopping close by... Great for our family's vacation.
