Windows were terrible..2 beds broke Lots of trash in gravel in between the house and pool.the outside of the house needed a good cleaning.

Needs some work

Size was great and location. Property needs some TLC and updating. Toilet seats all worn. Lawn was overgrown Not a fan of 4:00 Check in, then 9:00 am check out. Nothing in writing about what our guidelines were or information about the area. They expected us to vacuum before leaving? Under sofas was debri from previous visitor's.

Awesome, PET friendly home in OBX!

This property was perfect for our family vaca to OBX which included our two dogs for the very first time! It was the first pet friendly property we’ve stayed in and we were very satisfied with the house and all it had to offer. The short walk to the beach and the outdoor shower upon return from the beach were two big positives. We had an AC issue on the first two floors and as soon as we contacted the maintenance staff they were out to fix it. Overall, we were very pleased. We would definitely return to SPIN 1 for more family fun!

Excellent week

The location was excellent, not too far from the beach, not too far from stores, and the privacy from one house to another was fantastic. Any problems we had it within the house was quickly taken care of, if I ever go to the Outerbanks again I would certainly do the same thing.

Relaxing Vacation getaway

The property was exactly as listed and is located in a nice neighborhood and steps to the beach. the home was spacious, looked just as portrayed in pictures and fit our families needs for a quick relaxing getaway

One of the 2 master bedrooms smelled like urine. We had to spray it down and keep a fan on high speed 24/7. Looked as if the stairs hasn’t even been vacuumed. Also looks like they were in the process of renovating, which I get. But for the price we paid for 2 nights, I expected a lot better. The pool and hot tub were both dirty when we got there with no one coming to maintain it during our stay. Which like to wait a couple of years until Reno is done. Bc the nice was in a good location. And I def saw the potential. But I felt like I needed to wear shoes the whole time I was there.

Great Vacation!

Great property at a GREAT location. We hosted our 3 adult kids with husband/significants and there was PLENTY of space. The pool and hot tub was so nice to have since the ocean was very rough causing next to no beach at high tide. Very short walk to the beach. The fact that it was pet friendly was a bonus! Our pups loved it too! Highly recommend!!

Perfect house for our vacation.

This house offered the perfect setup for our family of 16. Having 2 stoves in the kitchen made cooking for a big group much easier. Short walk to the beach. The pool was great for cooling off on those hot days. We had two small issues while there. The grill ran out of propane after 1 use and the volleyball court was very overgrown. I called the management company. They were very nice. They sent someone out to switch the propane tank and someone came and mowed. They were very easy to deal with. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall great

We had a wonderful stay at this location. It was very clean and very well equipped with most items you would need for a large group. The kitchen has a ton of silverware and cookware. Strongly advise bringing dish towels unless you want to use the bath towels provided. Laundry is located just inside the pool which was great. We had a problem with the faucet in the shower on the main bathroom between bedrooms, but it was fixed promptly. The hot tub light never worked but that was not a huge deal for us. Great location!!! The martini bar and Beach shop is a quick walk across the street. The beach was a quick bike ride or walk away!

Weekend with friends

We stayed at Spindrift to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our closest friends. The location was great. Very close to a few grocery stores. The kitchen was amazing! We ate most of our meals at the house and on the last night had a chef come in and cook for us. He grilled steaks and we had plenty of room to set up a buffet as well as plenty of space for everyone to sit down and enjoy the meal. Check in was super easy and the house was even ready a little early! The only down side to the property was all the stairs, for some reason I thought there was an elevator but if so it was not accessible. It also would have been nice if there was some sort of shelter by the door down stairs. The day we left it was nor'easter conditions. We got soaked just trying to get the cars packed up to head out. Which made it difficult to clean the floors and keep them clean as we were leaving. All in all the trip was great and it was nice to get away for a few days to relax.

Enjoyable stay

Nice house, wonderful location with beautiful and well appointed kitchen. Easy walk to the beach where we did several long walks. Bedroom rugs, pool and bathrooms could use some updating. The main level living and dinging area was very nice and we loved the screened in porch at night. All in all a very enjoyable place.

1st experience in OBX

Our stay was wonderful, the property was well kept. My only feedback is there was no outside lighting around the pool and hot tube area. The bathroom could use a little updating. Overall, We will stay here again.

Great location for family stay!

This was a great location for everything! Beach access was only a 5 minute walk, there were many restaurants to chose from and lots of shopping! The house is huge and there was plentiful room for all of us, with room to spare. The pool was perfect and we spent a good bit of time there and playing pool in the rec room! The only downfall was that the unit wasn’t very clean when we arrived. I notified management, but told them they didn’t have to send anyone back to clean. They were quick to reply, which is always a good thing! We are in property management back home, so we understand how crazy a turnover can be. We come prepared with cleaning supplies on every trip. Overall, great experience! I would recommend this location for a family vacation!

Repairs needed

Lots of repairs needed. Broken window on top floor. Blinds broken. Door lock was broken and you couldn’t lock the door , when I called they told me it was a low crime area. Hot tub jets not working properly. They said repairs would be addressed but we were only there a week. The repair guy that came out to repair the lock was really nice.

Great home, horrible vacation

Home was fantastic, well maintained and accurately described. Corolla got dumped on with rain the week before, was not expecting to find the road to the house, the complete one side of the driveway, and the majority of the yard under water. None of the water got into the house (yay) and by midweek it had dried up. Why a horrible vacation? 1. My 3 year old granddaughter suffered a spiral fracture of her left tibia when she unsuccessfully navigated the step down from one of the dining areas (why is it even raised in the first place?) 2. My wife contracted food poisoning Wednesday night until we left on Saturday. Despite those issues, I would recommend this property to anyone interested in a Corolla vacation.

Great property & location!

I have vacationed in OBX many times but this was my first stay in Corolla. We had a group of 12. Everything from the listing was accurate. The house was cleaned and came with fresh sheets and towels as described. We were a very short walk from the beach and short drive to the stores and restaurants we ventured to. Communication with Shoreline OBX was fine as far as up-to-date info with check-in, check-out, and weather since rain and standing water closed some roads as we were driving in. My only complaint was the internet modem/router. The passkey was not the one listed in my check-in email. It was still the default one listed on the box. Connection would randomly drop and for about 1-1.5 days it was spotty and the box LED was red. Gotta love Spectrum. Although we did not sit inside all day and night, we did have to use LTE hotspots for work and leisure. Again it was not a major problem considering I work IT and was able to do some simple troubleshooting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Not as expected

The location/ neighborhood is great. close to things and a really short walk to the beach. the yard was great for the pup. Other than that I was a little disappointed with the property. if you read the previous reviews they are pretty accurate. the furniture in the living room is filthy. there are stain on almost every piece of furniture in this house. The one master bedroom had a sewage like odor from day one and one of the king sheet sets came with stains on it. The kitchen needs to be cleaned thoroughly. The cabinet pulls were sticky. All in all the property was OK but a disappointment.

On sail review

Property is lovely, well manicured, pool was great. Inside was good, the kitchen was below my expectations. The cabinets were sticky, the knobs loose and doors and drawers did not close right. I actually cleaned the kitchen upon arrival as the windowsill was filthy. all appliances were good. the only other issue were almost all the door handles (pool door, door to screened in porch and main door downstairs and with combo lock) were really tough to open. It appears they have been used hard. One problem I emailed about was the large window on the top floor was leaking after the heavy rains we received. We dried it up and left towels down for the cleaning crew. We met the cleaning crew when we arrive at 4:02 PM. they were just finishing up and were very nice. I also liked the fact someone takes out and brings in the trash containers. Thank you!

Enjoyed it so much We’ll be doing it again!

This was our first time staying with Spin1 and using ShorelineOBX. I can’t say enough good things about the property in terms of location and privacy. Had one small issue but was able to fix it with a quick vaccine clean. This did not deter us for reserving it for next years stay!

Seen Better Days

What I liked was this home has a very well equipped kitchen. Its dated but very functional. From appliances to gadgets, you'll find what you need. What we didn't like was the mattresses on the sofa sleeper (there's only 1 sofa sleeper), the loft trundle and the kids bunk room all need replacing. Spring mattresses that squeak with every turn. No batting remains just springs. The sofa sleeper is a dried up sponge. We ended up getting air mattresses because no one could sleep well. The 2nd floor bedrooms are fine but its all the other rooms. The 3 levels also got old by mid week. If you're a fitness junkie you'll definitely get your 'steps' in everyday. Upon arrival, the house was moderately cleaned. Kitchens & baths were very clean but the bedrooms hadn't been vacuumed, the vinyl floors hadn't been mopped. Lots of spiders outside, especially in the outdoor shower. Not dangerous spiders, just big, ugly spiders. Check your cars daily to make sure they haven't found a new home. Two hitchhiked home with us. Volleyball area isn't useable as half is manicured grass while the other half is sand and weeds. The advantage to the one side deterred these volleyballers from using it. The basketball hoop is also outrageously high. Only 1 pool stick was useable so that game was out. The house is in need of a good power washing and all the decks need sanding and sealing. Tackled splinters so keep your flip flops on & be careful with the handrails. The walk to the beach isn't bad, its about a 1/4 mile or so, its just not easy when you're carrying your beach gear. We joined the many who loaded up their cars, dropped the stuff off and drove back to park then walk back to the beach. Then having to walk to get the car and return. Ugh! The LR furniture is near end of life. Still has a little use left but not much. We weren't given enough sheets & towels but maintenance was incredibly quick to get what we needed to us. The bunk room beds only had 2 made. Overall we were disappointed. The on-line pictures show rooms to be much larger than what they truly are. And the sleeping arrangements were not worth what we paid. We all agreed we wouldn't return. Didn't get our money's worth, that's for sure. :-(
