A lovely home that was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked, the furnishings were attractive and comfortable and the kids enjoyed playing with the beach toys, games and bikes. Not to mention watching movies from the endless DVD collection. It was a fairly short walk to the beach with many restaurants and shops nearby. We also enjoyed the local fish markets as well. Ed, our host, was very nice and let us know that he was available to help if there was anything that we needed. Thanks to his attention to detail our stay was perfect.

A very nice property and neighborhood! The kids loved the community pool just across the street, and the beach was an easy 5 to 10 minute walk away. Our trip was more convenient with the fully-stocked beach gear in the garage. We look forward to staying there again!

Pleasant Stay

We are a family of four with two kids in college. It was nice to spend a quiet week together. The house is big enough for everyone to have their own space when needed. The kitchen is well equipped, and we appreciated the propane grill. We made use of the community pool across the street and the bikes in the garage were used daily. Great location with easy access to stores and activities. Our host was very responsive.

We had a wonderful stay and relaxing week! The house was very clean which was the best! They make traveling lighter by providing a tent, lots of chairs and sand toys! We have 3 kids under 9 and the walk to the beach was easy!

August 2024 Stay

Exactly as listed and perfect for both my family of 4 and my brother's family of 4. Had plenty of room and the amenities were helpful to get all of our stuff out to the beach, which was just a short walk away. Looking forward to coming back!

PERFECT for our Family!

It’s hard to say it all, but in a nutshell, this was an AMAZING vacation for my family (mom/dad/5 kids, ages 17 (twins), 16,13, and 8). The house was excellent - enough space for all of us and then some…proximity to beach was totally fine (it is a walk, but we WALK anyway and we had a cart to utilize) but our favorite was how close the house was to the pool! Check in/out was easy, we rented our shower towels but brought our own beach towels - loved being able to do laundry all week for this family of 7! Kitchen was also wonderful - was able to cook for the kids on nights when we were “home!” Super close to the Food Lion and shops/restaurants - but away from the busy tourist areas! Definitely loved/appreciated the WIDE variety of DVDs, games, and other amenities throughout the house! Side note - we LOVED the bagels and WOW, they filled up hungry kids throughout the entire week before our adventures to the lighthouse, Roanoke, the aquarium, and the Wright Brothers Memorial/Kitty Hawk! This is such an amazing property in Corolla - the neighborhood is just lovely and the kids had fun making friends at the pool. We are VERY much considering going back next year - it’s hard to find everything that makes everyone happy - and we had the hardest time saying goodbye to ‘our beach house!’

Great house with plenty of room

Our family of 8 fit comfortably in this house with 2 bunk beds to spare. The description of the listing was accurate and was all in working order. 3 full baths was nice for when we all got back from the beach / pool and all wanted to shower. Would stay here again.

Perfect Location

The house is in a very quiet cul-de-sac that is a 6 min walk from the ocean. It is across Rt 12 from the bay and close to many activities and shopping. The neighborhood boasts a salt water pool and volleyball court. It was a great fit for 4 adults and 3 teens. The king beds were amazing.

Amazing House with all the accessories!

Beautiful house inside and out! Beautiful floors! Great location and just a short walk to the beach! Close to the 4x4 beach and the wild horses! Great communication with renter and they added a lot of information about the house and area and was helpful with any questions and checked to make sure our stay was going great! Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be booking again in the future!!!

Second time staying here and we intend to make the visit annually! We fit our three adult children and one grandchild easily with enough space and bathrooms for all. Kitchen large enough for us to not be in each others way. Close enough proximity to walk to a great beach (recommend renting a wheelez to cart stuff onto the sand) and the pool was a great option after lunch when our toddler was too tired from the morning beach. Also able to walk to lighthouse area and easy drive to food stores and shops. We love the soft sand too!

Great owner, plenty of everything

Our visit consisted of our growing family, my children and their budding families. Owner provided almost everything we could need regardless of age. Crib, baby gate, toys, games, ton of bikes and even a few beach wagons. The property itself is much roomier and convenient than the pictures suggest. Pool is super easy for a quick dip, just across the street and a sidewalk leads you right there. Beach access boardwalk is at the end of the street a then a couple of blocks from there. The place is clean and new beds are super comfortable, best sleep I've had in a long time!! Every rental can have an occasional hiccup, it's just part of the equation when you rent an entire home. Our only hiccup was at check-in when the digital keypad stopped working. My daughter and her 2 babies were the first to arrive and they needed to get the kids out of the car quickly and into a place to change a diaper and nurse. When we called the owner, he had an alternative way into the house in a matter of minutes. He truly cared about his guests and their comfort. Attempts to revive the lock were unsuccessful during the week, but with the garage remote our vacation never skipped a beat. He did reach out a few times just to make sure that everything was fine during our stay. Great owner and a great vacation. Highly recommend

Comfortable Beach House in Corolla!

Lovely property with a full kitchen, beach supplies (toys, bikes, chairs and even a wagon). We stayed here with my wife, 2 kids and parents and were very happy. A few of the appliances could have been cleaner and in better condition, but overall everything worked just fine.

Great Location

Great place everything we needed was there except for towels. That would be the only negative thing I have to say. Enjoyed using the bikes, the beach chairs and the hot tub. All and all it was a great vacation spot. Thanks again for a great stay.

Great stay!

The house was very clean upon arrival and the homeowner checked in with us via text on arrival day. The house is in a great location and is an easy walk to the beach and close to shopping/dining. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. There was plenty of beach gear to use so I’m glad we didn’t bring any. The homeowners have the house stocked with movies, games, and books as well as streaming services. The layout worked great for our family of six, but we could see being comfortable with a larger group too. The community pool was not open, but is very close and the kids enjoyed the neighborhood playground. Overall an excellent stay! We would come back in the future.

Great house

The picture of the house is very accurate. In fact, I thought the rooms inside the house were nicer and the house was more spacious they the pictures lead you to believe. The beds were new and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this house; it was a perfect location and exactly what we hoped for. The beach equipment was a fantastic bonus.

Peaceful Location with amenities

Close to beach with pool and private hot tub. Owner was very responsive to any inquiries. Property outfitted with accommodations for our toddler. Very clean property. Located north of Duck in a quieter area of OBX but close enough to shops, restaurants, food stores by a short drive. Our third visit to this community. This property was certainly this best so far.

Fun Beach Week!

We had a very enjoyable week! House was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, including a large pantry for storage. Mattresses were comfortable and it was great that the beds were made when we arrived. We really enjoyed the outside area including the hot tub, grill, picnic table, and corn hole. Beach chairs and umbrellas were nice to have on hand. The walk to the beach was over a quarter of a mile, so be ready to walk and carry the heavy beach chairs. There are a lot of stairs to get to the main public areas in the house, including the kitchen, so be ready to climb! Owner was very responsive and checked in to make sure all was ok. Thanks for a great week!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was clean and in a great location. The hosts were very responsive and even agreed to open the hot tub up one week early for us. 10/10 would recommend.
