Overall the stay was great with fantastic views and spacious rooms for everyone to have their space. Pool & hot tub were great, only thing we would improve on would be the kitchen skillets ( we like to cook) which had outlived their use. Would book again!

McMansion in Great Location

Wonderful house. Right on beach; ocean was very calm during our week. Only suggestion would be that the glassware could be updated and improved--many of mugs chipped. More dishes perhaps for the number of people house accommodates. All in all, great week!!

Awesome house

This was the perfect house for our family. Unfortunately the silverware amount was not enough for 15 people without washing every time we used it. The pans need updated. They were scratched and Teflon worn off. The elevator was amazing, but both lights were burned out the last day and it was pitch black. Close to everything you need.

Angler’s Inn

Beautiful property right in the beach. Having the heated pool was a vacation-saver as the weather turned a bit cooler the week we rented. We would totally rent this property again - lots of space to spread out and a quiet neighborhood to walk or ride bikes.

Lovely reunion week!

We really enjoyed the house -- perfect layout of bedrooms, bathrooms and living space for a large group of people who like to spread out! Location couldn't have been better, a really lovely view from the main living space. Our only suggestion is that the house could use a little loving care -- a fresh coat of paint throughout, new rugs in the bathrooms, new mattresses and pillows. The bones of the house are great -- it's just had a lot of use and needs some attention.

Amazing Home in Perfect Location

Had our first family vacation with just our children, their spouses, and children. This home was in a perfect location for us; close drive to many attractions and right on the beach. It had more than enough room with wonderful amenities. Loved the 2 sets of washers/dryers with 2 infants and daily beach/pool days. The place was clean and comfortable and had plenty of kitchen essentials that were not listed (crockpot, keurig, mixer, etc.). The mattresses were okay but could stand an upgrade for comfort. We sent an email with any issues we noticed when checking in, while we were there, and checking out. Each time, maintenance was extremely prompt and onsite immediately. We experienced a tropical storm on our last day and water did come in through all doors facing the ocean, but overall, a wonderful stay and would stay again.

Perfect family vacation

This house was perfect for our family that traveled from across the country to join us in this beautiful home. Everyone enjoyed to spacious rooms with private bathrooms. The beach, pool and hot tub were well utilized ❤ My favorite place was the breakfast nook surrounded by big windows. We loved spending quality time together getting both sides of the family together after 42 years.

Great location, but showing its age

We have stayed at this house for three years in a row, and enjoy its location overlooking the beach. The interior is very roomy. However, over the past year, storms have eaten away a shocking amount of the dune protecting the house from the ocean, and part of the original walkway and stairs to the beach have been washed away. While there is a new, apparently temporary, set of stairs to the beach, we had the impression that the owners are spending very little to maintain the house. There are lightbulbs out all over the house (including one over the stove), several burners in the stove are not working, the broiler is not working, several of the jacuzzi jets are not operating, and there is a missing towel bar in one of the bathrooms. Moreover, no incidentals were provided (beyond a small bag that included two of the cheapest rolls of toilet paper imaginable.) As experienced travelers, we have come to expect the properties in which we stay to include incidentals such as toilet paper, Kleenex, hand soap, and coffee pods. This house provides none of that. While it is true that this is indicated in the property description, it seems unwelcoming at this price point, to say the least. On a positive note, the WiFi stopped working during our stay, but the management company was able to connect us with tech support, who were extremely helpful in working with us to get the WiFi up and running again.

Instantly comfortable, welcoming

Wonderful vacation stay with fabulous ocean view, location, and home. Needs a little TLC/updating but great vacation. For us, bummer that couldn’t access beach by property stairs due to recent severe storm damage. Still, a wonderful vacation for us all!

Perfect House

The layout of this house is absolutely perfect for a large group. We had nine adults and one infant, everyone had their own space and practically their own floor. Plenty of room for all to share a meal together. Only things lacking were wine glasses (only two!) and coffee mugs (only five). The area is beautiful and the little historic Corolla Village is less than a mile away. Unfortunately there was a nor'easter that lasted most of the week so we could not enjoy the outside of the house but we had great views from the inside. And it took out the lower steps to the beach which meant once the storm finally did clear, we had to walk down the street to find access to the beach. It certainly was not the vacation I had been dreaming about but the house itself was perfect.

Nice house that needs attention

We had a lovely family get together. The building itself is very nice & the location is great! Unfortunately, the house feels shabby. We cleaned the windows along the back of the house because they were so dirty that you couldn't see clearly through them. The floor beneath one bed was thick with dust, a baby's pacifier and a crumpled plastic water bottle. The rug in the kitchen was so stained and dirty it should be thrown in the trash. All of the other brown area rugs in the halls and bedrooms are ready for an upgrade too. There weren't enough coffee mugs, glasses, or utensils for 17 people to use at one time. There are many coffee pots and Kuerigs, but not one kettle to boil water. Need a set of measuring cups too. There were no kitchen towels (one was provided with our welcome bag) and no hand towels in the half baths to dry your hands. The linen service provided thin bathroom towels, not great quality. The bathrooms attached to the queen bedrooms did not have trash cans. One of the queen headboards is precariously unattached to the bed frame or the wall. The bedding needs to replaced in almost every room - the quilts are thin and old and there are no extra blankets for the beds. The slanted pool table is not in great condition. The 8 ball needs to be replaced and only 2 cues were usable. Nice house & we had a good time, but not a "luxury accomodation."

Simply Amazing

My husband and I decided to take a visit to the ocean off of my mother's bucket list, so we took her and my brother with us to stay in this gorgeous home. Everything was exactly as pictured and it was all perfect. We enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves crashing as we slept in the comfortable beds at night. Many gourmet meals were enjoyed in the perfectly appointed chef's kitchen. We had one tiny issue with the sound not working on the main TV, but maintenance came out and fixed the problem in under an hour. We highly recommend not only this property, but any property under this management company.

Beautiful house in a great location

This was our second year in a row at this property, which enjoys spectacular views of the ocean. The living and bedroom areas are quite comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen.

There were a few items that needed attention. One of the dishwashers wasn't working and didn't get fix by the company that came out. Also the sliding glass doors were hard to open especially in the Kitchenette. The company that came out to fix it couldn't fix it. There weren't enough utensils, silverware, coffee cups, and serving dishes for our group of 11. Two of the coffee pots weren't working but we got a replacement the next day. We needed better instructions to turn the tv's on. We left the tv on all night twice because we couldn't shut it off. We made too many calls to try to fix the problem. The round table in the breakfast nook is not secured to the bottom of the table. We almost lost our drinks a number of time because of tipping the table. In the pool room, the 8 ball has a chip in it. We did like the location and the many chairs on the deck.

Retirement family celebration

The house was nicely laid out and easily accommodated our group. Ocean View and access were perfect!With young children being on the beach was the way to go. Kitchen needs some work with utensils being supplied to accommodate larger numbers and updated cooking supplies. House surfaces were clean but cleaners need to look up to see cobwebs needing to be swept. Overall really enjoyed the week and celebration with family!

Perfect get away!

We enjoyed this home immensely. It had everything we were looking for: on the beach, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, great open floor plan, elevator, pool... and while we were there the surf kicked up... we didn't know we would use the decking down by the water, but when the beach wasn't usable from the storm offshore, we could still enjoy the water. The extra kitchenette was super handy too. The place looks better in person... photos did not do it justice. We will be back next year :)

Peaceful Paradise

We had a wonderful stay in July and would return again. The location is truly one of the best, in a private neighborhood, away from the fray. We had some amazing morning walks and enjoyed a few excursions as well. Easy driving distance to kitty hawk, this was the first time we had stayed in Corolla and I must say we prefer it. The property suits a large group extremely well, we had a total of 14. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, which is a huge plus. The open concept was perfect and we enjoyed puzzles and morning coffee in the breakfast nook overlooking the beach. The multitude of decks were my favorite feature...enabling a calm sun deck above the pool that allowed us to be close to the pool, but was much cooler with beach views. The pool was perfect and well taken care of and we spent most of our time there. My only constructive feedback is that the place needs some tender loving care. It's not dirty or unclean, but it is worn and feels it. The stove and grill had "kink's" we had to work through, the deck needed some serious love, the vents needed replacing....just a bunch of little things that hold me back from that 5th star. I did provide the property managers with this feedback as well. I thought the management team was exceptional, quick responses to all inquiries (even the little ones) and very clear instruction. Overall, we would stay again, but with those improvements it would be a no brainer.
