Easy walk to the beach close to stores and was a nice stay overall. Lots of things in the kitchen to use so that was great and a regular coffee pot and a keurig! We had a great time

Great house but could be cleaner.

My family loved the house but it could have been cleaner. I will say though, every correspondence I had with Kees was extremely productive and pleasant!

Family Thanksgiving Gathering

Very nice neighborhood. House is in a cul de sac which we did not realize but see as a nice little detail. Property is a little older than the other homes in the area. Needs a little updating/care but was cozy and adequate for our gathering.

We loved this home! We’ve stayed in several Carillon houses over the past several years, and we truly enjoyed our week in this one. While further from the beach than many, the walk was still pretty short and the four rented beach chairs and umbrellas are a fantastic perk! A pool is located about halfway to the beach, probably five or six houses down. There’s a lot of privacy, a nice grill, and wonderful kitchen and gathering space. We loved being back the beautiful driveway and the living space and bathrooms are very nice. The beds weren’t our fave, but that’s just a personal preference issue. Management was super responsive to the one outside issue that arose, and they were friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

June 2025 Corolla Vacay

The house offered great space for our party of 16. Many in our group were impressed by the comfort of the beds & pillows! The location and proximity to the beach and area amenities was perfect! There were a few misses with the property which we shared with the property manager: the house accommodates 16 but the stockpile of pots/pans utensils accommodated about 8; I understand there was a storm that blew-in the day we arrived, but the pool was a challenge because it was filled with debris and sand (I assume from the previous guests); there were cobwebs inside and on the front deck - along with a lot of spiders, it appeared to have been there for a while; and a few maintenance issues that were resolved during our stay. I just wish more time/attention had been given to these things prior to us arriving or having to point them out. I appreciated the property manager's attentiveness and willingness to resolve. Thank you for a great stay, overall our family enjoyed the stay!

Coastal Calling OBX

Kees Vacation company was not helpful with trash pick up. All trash bins were full. So left very little room for our trash. Also the night lights in the pool and those outside the pool area were not working. Called maintenance but no one responded.

The property was not clean at all. Bugs and spiders inside on the window ledges. Spiders in the showers. Showers and toilets also had mold where they had not been scrubbed. Kitchen table not wiped off. Under couch and barstools not clean. Windows and covered porch areas had not been cleaned. They were covered cob webs and spider webs. Grass was not mowed (finally came on day 3). Pool water was so cloudy that you couldn't see your feet when standing in the pool. They finally got the pool somewhat clear on our last day, but it still wasn't great. The house just felt dirty the whole time. The bunk beds in both rooms were EXTREMELY loose and noisy. Kids could barely sleep on them.

Family vacation

Loved the location. House was perfect. Only issue we had was leaving the trafffic on route 12 was horrible 2 hours to drive 9.9 miles they really need to fix the traffic issue

Good place, night layout, good value

We enjoyed our stay here. It's a 13 minute walk to the beach with kids on a great path/boardwalk or a 3 min drive to a beach parking area which was fine. Layout is nice, modest privacy from other houses, on a cul-de-sac, rooms had enough space, pool and hot tub were clean and worked great. It's a 5 min drive to the grocery store. The Kees company reps were super friendly and easy to get hold of as we got ready for the trip. Nice grill and patio, the upstairs dinner area with two fridges accommodated our whole group well. The three stories allowed for places to visit as well as places for peace and quiet to study, get work done or have the kids play. Would go back!

We were not informed until we got here that towels would not be swapped out daily or garbage emptied

Nowhere to put any garbage cans were overflowing. We had an emergency and spoke to someone but none came out water pressure to toilet too high. It never stopped filling and flooded bathroom water leaked to ground level bathroom and power tripped off no one showed to repair. pillows are ridiculous! Carpets filthy and you should At least put food traps in kitchen sink. We had two full dishwashers To unload on arrival the hot tub was cloudy and should be checked before guests arrive. Please vacuum all spiderwebs and bugs out of ceiling corners. It’s very off putting We loved having so many masters got our family and two refrigerators and dishwashers. It’s also a nice area

Corolla Shores rental

House was fairly well appointed, however the mgt co is NOT lenient on check in or out times. Check in time is rather late and check out time is early and there is no budging on that. The best way to communicate is via email, NOT calling (as they do not return phone calls). We had to purchase our own trash bags, coffee filters for the coffee pot and our own paper towels, as they stocked 1 roll for 16 people on Memorial Day weekend. The house is spacious, within walking distance to the beach, with a great pool and hot tub. Our group enjoyed this property.

Great place to stay with lots of room!

We stayed at the property over the Thanksgiving holiday with 8 adults and 7 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone! Everyone had a great time. My 89 year old mother also traveled with us and it was a little hard getting her up and down the stairs but other than that everything was perfect.

Great property and amenities, lots of bugs

We had a great time! Check in was easy and the house was exactly as advertised and the pool and hot tub were great. Only suggestion is there were lots of bugs and spiderwebs inside, a thorough cleaning is needed.

Nice Family Vacation House for a large group

We had lovely stay at this beach house. The house was very nice located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Outdoor pool and hot tub area was great that had lots of seating for lounging and sitting. No complaints with the wi-fi like other reviews had stated. Probably our only main complaint was that the beds were lacking complete sheet sets. One of the king beds was made with 2 flat sheets and no fitted sheet. One of the bunk beds had no sheets at all. We could have used more hangers. Some rooms had none. The kitchen could have had a few more things. The electric can opener was broken and there wasn’t a manual one which would really make more sense. Hardly any glasses. Beds were comfortable but after I removed the bedding at the end of our stay, I noticed a large old blood stain on the mattress. No mattress pads on the beds. I would think all mattresses would have waterproof mattress pads on them just to extend the life of the mattresses. On day two of our stay, we piled our towels to be picked up like we were supposed to and I had to call twice for them to be picked up and replaced. It was 5:30-6:00 pm before we had replacements and they never took the old ones. The day before they were picked up and replaced by 9:30 am. Overall, I would recommend staying here. It would be nice if the cleaners were a little more efficient.

House is perfect but it should be cleaned better.

The location and the house itself was perfect. When we arrived to the house it was being cleaned but I guess not well enough. We found urine on 2 of the toilets and sand was still in the tub. We searched the entire house to clean it ourselves but not even a drop of cleaning supplies were left behind so we had to purchase it ourselves and clean it. Note to future renters check the bed sheets before you lay down, we found poop stained on the bedsheets.

Memorial Weekend Stay

Home was new and well set up. Only negatives were that cockroaches were more than a few on main level and outside pool/backyard only had 1 of about 10 lights working so at night we could not take advantage of the pool/backyard with any light.

Great space and location! Leaves some to be desired.

Overall the property offered a nice size space and good amenities. Consistent with other reviews it could use a good deep cleaning. The biggest challenge for us was inconsistent information. When we arrived there was a welcome book on the coffee table. We reviewed this for details on trash pick-up, linen/towel exchange, beach access and household items (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). We found a lot of inconsistent and inaccurate information in the book. It lead us to believe we would have access to a cabana on the beach which we later discovered was only an umbrella and 2 chairs (we never received these either). On a positive note there was a 24-hour hotline to call for clarification and accurate information. I would highly recommend gathering all you questions on the first day and plan to take some time reviewing them with the hotline on your first day.

Space and layout were great. Great location. House needs a good cleaning. Lots of bugs, dirt underneath the table cushions, splashed food on the cabinets next to the trash. Also, towels from former guests on the balconies.

Perfect for a big family

The main room was perfect for a large family gathering. Wish we had had a few more pieces of flatware and a few Pyrex dishes for cooking but the layout and fun pool table room was just right for cousins. Celebrated Post-Christmas and played lots of games in the main room while watching non-stop sports on the huge family room TV. The beds were ultra comfortable!
