The location of the villa was very close to the beach, as stated a 3 min walk downhill and a steadier steeper climb on the way back. It’s conveniently located to shops, tavernas and water sports.
The house itself is clean and the 3 en-suite rooms makes getting ready with teens very easy without anyone having to form a queue! The kitchen space is ample although there is only very basic cooking pans/saucepans which makes making a meal a little bit of an experiment. As with any hot country, be wary not to leave any food out as ants will appear!
The pool and garden area was attended to daily and there was a midweek clean too. The pool itself is of a good size although I’m rather petite and could only touch the floor in one corner. Access into the pool is via a deep part. There are sufficient sun loungers and parasols and a lovely outdoor eating area and a balcony to gather on.
The first floor has excellent views and despite Barbati being a tourist hotspot, the villa stands back from the main road and noise was never an issue.
All in all, an excellent week and dubbed ‘the most enjoyable and relaxing holiday we’ve ever been on’ by all the family.
