Initially we found the flat lovely and well-located and planned to leave a positive review of our stay. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a disturbing issue we discovered the night before our departure. When I went to use the toilet brush, I noticed it was covered in flecks of what appeared to be toilet paper. As I lifted it out of its holder, I was shocked to find it submerged in what looked like black moldy sludge. The smell and sight were so awful that I immediately dropped the brush, which meant that I then had to clean the surrounding floor, struggling not to gag. This led me to look more closely at the toilet itself, which it turns out was also very dirty — something that left me feeling quite ill, as we had already been using it for several days. I also noticed that the inside of the washing machine appeared unclean, so I decided to hand-wash a few items instead of washing a full load of laundry as planned, which was very inconvenient as it meant I had to find a laundromat at our next destination.
