I'd never been to Denmark nor known anyone who'd visited, but I knew I wanted to do it, so I bought a one-way ticket and hopped on a plane with zero plans. I booked a couple nights at the Radisson and figured that would give me time to check out Copenhagen neighborhoods and then choose a rental.
Well, when I got off the Metro at Norreport, I knew I'd found the right place and booked Aperon immediately.
Prior to my move-in the following day, the property called to ask my arrival time. They wanted to be sure everything would be ready. They sent check-in instructions by email and by text and it was super-easy to get settled into my new home.
First of all, you're not going to beat the location. I cannot say enough about how great it is to have everything - shopping, groceries, restaurants, nightlife, etc - all within just a few steps, while going just a few steps more brings in all the museums and parks and more. And despite being so central, when you enter the property, everything is completely peaceful.
The apartment was very clean and cozy with plenty of storage space. The fridge is small, good for a few days. The stove and oven worked very well for us, and the kettle was nice. We drank lots of tea. There is also a Nespresso machine which also got a lot of use.
Little things like the keypad entry system automatically opening the main exterior door are a great touch. The heated bathroom floor is a real treat. And it was nice to take my computer and a coffee out to the courtyard to do a little work.
The only thing missing was a microwave, but if we're being honest, leftovers and pastries are much better when oven-heated anyway, so I didn't mind at all.
The staff was reachable around the clock and I cannot say enough good things about them. We were extremely happy with our stay and the highest compliment I can give is that it truly felt like home, because that's how they made us feel. We were very sad to leave this morning, but I smile know we will definitely stay with them again in the future.
