House was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked including plates and silverware. There are 2 beaches very close and the pier in Charleston was only a few minutes away. We greatly enjoyed our visit!

10 out of 10 stars! The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all of us including a very rambunctious 5 year old. Loved the yards and the covered deck. It was the best way to regroup after attending my dad's funeral. I will definitely be booking this house again! Thank you for sharing with us!

Nice house, not great beach access

The house was nice with fun areas to enjoy. My family loved the beds and the kitchen was well stocked. My family enjoyed the yard and we tried to find the trail behind the house but could not. I gave this a 4 star because it was a little misleading. Beach access is a 10 minute walk in either direction. We finally asked a neighbor and found out there is public access on Lighthouse Way. Almost at the end of the road, there is a chain link fence and a vinyl fence. There are public stairs between them. The state owns this property and anyone can use the stairs to the beach. It would have been helpful to have directions to the beach in the house. Good beach access is always a priority for us and I felt like we were mislead.

Coastal Family Getaway

Although it was a stormy weekend, the house was just perfect for our grandchildren and great grands. There were plenty of comfy beds and toys & games for the kids, as well as a well stocked kitchen for cooking. As mentioned, it was extremely windy and rainy but no flashlights or candles were provided in case of a power outage, which thankfully didn’t occur. Communication with the host appeared to be a property management company, and replies were slow and never by the same person. We reported an issue with the drain in the bathtub, and didn’t receive a reply until days after checking out. Despite these minor detractions, we enjoyed this pet friendly home, and would book again.

Very nice and close to Shore Acres

The house was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very quiet neighborhood after the evening traffic died down. We went to Shore Acres to see Christmas lights and it only took 5 minutes to get there.

Hats house review

Towels are getting a little threadbare but we liked the Dove soaps. Living room was large and nice. Deck was nice but it needs to be weather treated. It’s getting rough. Nice place though overall.

Great property, great house, the only complaint I have is that all of the outside trash bins were full when we arrived so any trash that my party of nine accumulated had to be put on the ground by the bins which allowed any critters free access to make a mess.

Great place!

The Hats house is a comfortable house. Great for families with dogs and kids. The yard is not fenced (fyi for dog owners). Close to the beach. My only issue with the house was there was dog hair on the sheets in the upstairs bed. Other than that issue, we enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.

Clean, comfortable spacious

This was our second Christmas holiday stay at the Hat house. Comfortable beds, well suited for generational family stay. Accommodations were clean, kitchen well appointed, and we enjoy using the fire place.

Will be back

Nice quiet property, very spacious and pretty clean. It had everything we needed except the hot tub that was originally listed. It appears it was removed prior to our stay. It is advertised as wheelchair accessible, which technically it was, but there are multiple levels of flooring to the back part of the house that the wheelchair could not easily go up and down and this was not explained when we tried to call and ask prior to renting. Overall we found those to be minor issues, and we would definitely come again.
