  • This property is located across the river from the Kenai Princess Lodge at the beginning of the Upper River Rapids. There is about 130 feet of low bank river frontage and an additional 700 feet of wade access under normal water conditions. This property can be rented with the neighboring River House upstream (VRBO #252577).

    The Kenai River is open for fishing between June 11th and May 1st. The ADF&G website is a great source of information on the latest fishing regulations.

Our time in Cooper landing was incredible and this cabin had everything we needed. The location and views were perfect. We would definitely stay here again when we come back.

This was a fabulous place to stay for our four member group! You couldn’t ask for a better view, which is what we wanted for this portion of our trip. The house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and host was very communicative.

Beautiful place on the Kenai River. The home had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. It was a great location for exploring places nearby. The host was very helpful & accommodating. We definitely recommend this property.

This rental is right on the river, absolutely stunning location. Layout was a little tough for us, but that’s because we were seven individuals. Would’ve been perfect for a family. That being said we still made it work and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The host was amazingly responsive and friendly. We all felt very lucky to have been able to stay here and highly recommend it.

The pictures, especially of the proximitybeauty of the river, don’t do it justice. It had everything we needed and comfy beds too! What a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

The property is beautiful. The Kenai River is a color I've never seen before. The cabin is very comfortable and clean with plenty of space.

Great place on the river!

Perfect location for fishing, spacious living area, perfect for our family get together. The owners were extremely communicative and helpful, which we greatly appreciated traveling with a young baby. If we need a place to stay out here again, we know where to go!

Incredible!

Traveled to this area five times, and I must say this has been our favorite property! We only stayed three nights, but wish we had booked much longer. So comfortable and the view is absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful river view!

We loved this property with the stunning view of the Kenai River and we wish we would have booked a longer stay! The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed! The hosts were very responsive and accomodating! We would definitely stay here again!

The house and location were perfect. The place was clean, well stocked with everything we need to do some cooking. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions. I would 100% go back and stay here again. The only thing I would have liked would be if the bed in the back bedroom was more comfortable, but I am spoiled with a good mattress at home and do tend to have a hard time sleeping comfortably anywhere we go so it might not seem that bad to others.

The River view from the Bear Den is very nice. I saw several fish jumping and rolling. We had several problems. It was fairly cold when we arrived and the ceiling fan was going. I had a terrible time getting it to turn off. I think the battery in the wand was bad. I could not figure out how to turn on the heat to warm the place up. I spoke with the owner and he couldn't help me. There is a gas fired Jotel stove but it would not start. The battery in this wand was dead, but even when I bought new batteries the wand seem to be working but the stove wouldn't turn on. The fan in the stove would turn on but the stove would not light. On the last morning we were there the CO detector started beeping an it was because its battery was also dead. The toilet in the master bath was very small and very short. My wife had a very hard time getting up from it and chose to use the one on the other side of the house. There is a dishwasher but there wasn't any dish towels or dish drainer if you wanted to wash some dishes by hand. The silverware drawer only had 2 regular size spoons. During our first night there, about 5 am the neighbors had their car lights shining in the bed room wintow for 20 to 30 minutes. So all in all, I was not impressed with the Bear Den, and would not stay there again. For the price I would expect more than what was provided.

Cooper Landing Adventure

Spent a week in this amazing location on the Kenai River. Beautiful clean property with incredible views of the river and lots of wildlife. Used this as base camp for our Kenai adventures and would definitely return.

Incredible location and experience

The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. The communication with the owners was outstanding. I have stayed at many rentals in Cooper Landing and this is by far my favorite.
