Estupendas vacaciones en familia

Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en la Villa. Las vistas son impresionantes y la villa está genial, solo hemos echado en falta el aire acondicionado, dentro de la casa hace muchísimo calor y a pesar de tener ventiladores no son suficiente para refrescar la casa.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Casa Maria. The villa is in such a beautiful location, just off an easy main road and no scary gravel tracks which is a real bonus. The surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful, we felt immediately at home. For us it is a great mix of peace and quiet but also access to places such as Competa and Nerja which are 2 of our favourite places. The villa is well equipped and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I hope we can stay again :)

Fijn huis en mooie omgeving

We hebben een fijne 2 weken gehad in casa Maria. Prachtig uitzicht over de bergen. Met de auto 25 min rijden naar Nerja. 52 min van Malaga centrum. Buren hebben een hond die vooral in de ochtend blaft. Bedden wat aan de harde kant. Geen airco wel ventilatoren. Fijn buiten terras met zwembad, jacuzzi en buiten keuken.

Beautiful Views

We stayed in the lovely villa in July 2020, Rachel and Barry were very helpful and replied to all our questions leading up to the holiday and on arrival was greeted by jan who had a calming presence, which made us feel very secure during our stay, and replied to us straight away with any questions that we had for him whilst at the villa, even the neighbours were friendly often greeting us with a good morning when we see them, we particularly liked sitting out on the patio chairs and watching the sun rise in the morning with a coffee with those beautiful views. We enjoyed the pool to cool down in the day and t loved relaxing in the hot tub at night. The villa is in a good location to explore the coastal towns we loved torre del mar and Nerja. We enjoyed our time at the villa and will definitely go back again. Thanks to everyone for making our stay enjoyable.

Beautiful villa in a fabulous setting.

We spent two glorious weeks at the villa and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The well equipped property is set in the hills with amazing views all round. The pool, hot tub and BBQ area were wonderful. Everything was just perfect for us. We would love to return again. Thank you to the property managers ( Christine and Malcolm) who met us and explained all the details about the villa and thank you to Rachel and Barry the owners.

Lovely place just needs tweaking a little.

Had a great stay at the villa just needs tweaking to make it perfect. Needs better mattresses and pillows. Needs either aircon or ceiling fans as the fans they have are quite noisy. Settee is very uncomfortable and needs mosquito nets in living room kitchen. The last thing was only one sun brolly between 4 of us. But these few item do not spoil the other plusses. Lovely views peace and quiet great location for visiting the area great value for money 😍

Impeccable holiday in a fabulous environment

We are very grateful to the owners and managers of the villa. Our vacation was perfect. The pool and Jacuzzi were constantly occupied by us and the kitchen with an outdoor grill smelled of goodies every night. Beautiful surroundings, amazing white villages, crystal clear sea and great food and drink. What else could you wish for. Thank you once again !

Wir hatten 2 wunderschöne Wochen in der Casa Maria

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in der Casa Maria. Sowie die Vermieter "Rachel und Berry" als auch der Hauskeeper Malcom waren immer sehr nett und immer ansprechbar. Die Lage der Casa ist ein Traum. Die Kinder und auch wir Erwachsenen hatten im Pool eine menge Spaß. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Vielen lieben Dank!

The area where the villa was located was stunning, unfortunately the villa was let down by the proximity of kennels at the bottom of the driveway. The tranquility of the villa was shattered by dogs not only barking but actually fighting each other which sounded most savage. One dog was barking non stop one morning from 06.00 and did not stop for a couple of hours. Having a stressful job in the UK this is something i did not envisage having on my holiday. The villa itself is quite basic and would benefit from more comfortable furniture,also there was no air conditioning. This was hampered by not having bug screens on the lounge windows allowing free flow of bugs into the house as quite clammy in the evening, windows need to be left open to get some air.

Beautiful location, with gorgeous views and a lovely villa.

We've had a super holiday. The view from the villa is superb and you never tire of it! We all enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The bbque area was lovely and such a nice place to sit on an evening. Thank you to Rachel and Barry.

Excellent villa, fully equipped right down to a sewing kit. Very clean and tidy. Good location.

We loved our stay from the moment we set foot in the villa to home time, we couldn't ask for any better. The villa was so clean and tidy, had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Great pool again spotlessly clean. Our kids had a great time with it all to themselves. Views are to die for. Hot tub a lovely addition when it got cooler. Plenty of space for four. Beds very comfy. Great power shower with rainfall head. Fully equipped kitchen with all types of crockery and utensils. Big fridge freezer, excellent space. Outside kitchen was just perfect and again fully equipped. Barbecue grill really big and clean. Smooth meeting villa managers and handover. We will be back very soon.

Gorgeous villa with spectacular views!

We have just returned from a fantastic 11 nights in this lovely villa. The villa itself is spacious, characterful, clean, and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is lovely and modern with huge fridge freezer, fab induction hob and plenty of cutlery and crockery, as well as a very useful washing machine. Three lovely bedrooms with plenty of storage and a shower room with large, powerful shower. Also great WiFi connection (very important for my teenage son!) and plenty of channels on the TV (more than we have at home I think!). The outside space is amazing, the pool is a great size, the kids (and us) pretty much spent all our time in it, there is a great outside kitchen with bbq which we made plenty of use of, and the views really are spectacular. You just couldn't tire of them, incredible in every direction. It was wonderful in the mornings to walk out onto the stunning terrace and enjoy breakfast looking out at these views, as well as lunch and dinner, and of course plenty of the local wine! Nearby Competa was a delightful, Authentic, Spanish town with loads of great restaurants. Our three children were made to feel very welcome everywhere we went, we also found the prices to be very reasonable, both in the reaturants and supermarkets. Good market in Competa on a Saturday morning. My daughter and I also went on a lovely horse ride at a place Rachel had recommended, Tina was great with my daughter who was very inexperienced. We also had amazing weather throughout, very welcome after the awful weather we've been having in the UK this summer! This really is a very lovely place and I have no hesitation in highly recommending to others. We don't normally go back to the same place twice but we would make an exception for this very special villa. Also excellent communication from the owners Rachel and Barry and also from the key holders in Spain. Many thanks!

Beautiful family bolt hole

We had a really relaxing holiday at this beautiful villa. The setting is stunning and we had lots of fun star gazing from the hot tub. Also drove into Competa a few times to enjoy meals out and explored Malaga and the coast. The pool is beautiful and we all enjoyed the whole holiday.

Super schönes Haus 😃

Der Pool war das Highlight für die Kinder. Auch der Whirlpool war trotz den Temperaturen nicht unbenutzt geblieben. Einfach schönes Haus sauber gepflegt und ruhige Umgebung. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auch der Kontakt mit den hauskeeper war super.

Well laid out, newly refurbished

Was very impressed with the villa, very comfortable and its amenities were great! Spent most of the week in the pool and the jacuzzi! Newly fitted kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. Jan was really nice and very helpful. Far and away the best villa we have had in Spain, we would book again in a heartbeat. Oh and the weather was epic!
