Good, not great
The property was as described, however there were a few items that weren’t listed that made the stay less than comfortable. **These items were not things that could be reported to the owner as they were put there by the owner. The light switches in the bedrooms were taped with blue painters tape to prevent use, so lights needed to be either turned on at the light or manually pulled for ceiling lights and fans. There were several paper signs taped to walls around the house, one being that the included pool was cold and had not been recently cleaned. Another sign on a glass curio-display cabinet in the living room indicated that if any items were broken in the cabinet, the renter was going to be charged (I agree with this statement, however I would not recommend this property for guests with children). The flooring in the hallway was soft and pliable, making for a “squishy” flooring from bedrooms to bathroom. The bathroom is small, has very hard water, and the shower water pressure is very low…as well as the hot water being lukewarm at best. Overall opinion, this is a basic stay in the Commack area. Having stayed for three nights, I do wish we had stayed in a neighboring hotel with more amenities and more comfortable beds/baths.
