"Talk about being in the middle of no where, Ricks cabin is that. The cabin is situated 6 miles out of Comfort situated in the hills about 1800 feet above sea level. Getting to the cabin can be challenging but follow Ricks directions to the tee and you will be ok. On the way out we made a mistake and followed GPS directions, took a wrong turn and ended up driving down a really rough unpaved road leading to a really spooky looking cabin. The previous rave reviews are spot on with their commentary...

"My husband and I and our two small dogs had a nice stay in Hill Country. The house is as described and even nicer when you arrive. The kitchen is spacious snd well equipped and all the rooms are very nice. The screened porch is large and a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It was quiet and safe and not too far from Comfort or Fredricksburg. Only problem was the terrible flooding occurred while we were there so we couldn’t go to many of our favorite spots. "We flew out from WA state to meet my family in Texas at the stone house. It was more than perfect. Plenty of room, plenty of fun, and plenty of shade from the sun. Game room and pool were amazing, plenty of cooking space and all the utensils we needed. Property owner called to check in twice…the personal touch was great. This is a 5 star location through and through. Thank you stone house for all the great memories. "
