Villa Roble

Wir haben die ruhige Umgebung sehr genossen. Die Fahrt durch die Berge war am Anfang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Straßen waren teilweise sehr schmal und kurvig. Auch war es nicht immer ganz ersichtlich, wo die richtige Straße lang führt. Im Dunkeln war es sehr anstrengend. Aber man gewöhnt sich mit der Zeit an die Gegebenheiten. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub.

Schöne Villa in den Bergen

Schöner Urlaub in einer tollen Villa, leichter Renovierungsstau, Küche mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet, beim Buchen bedenken, dass die Villa nur über unbefestigte Wege mit dem Auto im ersten Gang zu erreichen ist, nichts für ängstliche oder unerfahrene Autofahrer.

6 Weeks in Spain to chill with my Lab's after i lost my wife to cancer

When booking the villa i was quoted a reasonable price for my planned 2 months stay. I then booked trains, hotels and everything else needed for my drive to Spain with my dogs. When the bill was emailed through VAT had been added making quite a difference to the total bill which had never been mentioned or i had been aware of but it was too late by then. I must admit on arrival one of my labs jumped out of the car after a 10 hour drive and did his business in the main bedroom floor in front of the agent which he has never done anywhere or anywhere since which was cleaned up and disinfected straight away, thank heavens for tiled floors I was mortified i can tell you! I needed to buy a gass bottle as there was a thimble full left and also pay for the electricity weekly which worked out at 40 euro's per week. The villa pictures on the site are lovely sadly it doesn't live up to them in reality. The villa is very tired, shabby with a hotch potch of assorted furniture, plates an glasses, the internal wall and very discoloured which for 3000 pounds i didn't expect. There were light fittings hanging by the flex in the porch seating area, light bulbs out in the main living room lights, a huge crack across the floor beneath the table on the porch. The villa is advertised as completely fenced which for my peace of mind is needed for my labradors. Unfortunately there had been a bit of a land slide bringing down a huge boulder allowing access for my dogs to escape and climb a steep vertical wall and the side of the villa. Well this caused me lots of problems with my dogs escaping several time as soon as i turned my back, i was so frustraded. Whilst i was on my own for 5 of the 6 weeks i stayed 5 friends flew over for 5 nights. There were only 4 plates in total and five of us plus one of my friends broke one leaving only 3 so i purchased 6 donating them to the villa. My labradors shed hair llike you've never seen so i hoover at home daily, i asked where the hoover was. So trying to hoover daily while away but it wasn't picking up anything. I spent and hour hacking away at a huge blockage in the tube of the hoover which looked like it had been there for some time. In fairness to the owner and the agent i did not bring any of these issues up to the agent during my stay. I did not believe they could have corrected anything in the villa to make my stay any better other than a thorough clean and and full refurbishment. My wife would not have stayed here!!!!

Lovey week, excellent property, very helpful owner!

A lovely holiday home - the heated pool made all the difference in the last week of October. Isabelle was very helpful and accessible. One limitation was that access to the house is via some very narrow roads - not for the faint-hearted; it was a 25-30 minute drive down windy roads to access anything much. (Drive via Velez-Malaga.) This did not spoil a great holiday. Thank Isabelle!

Excellentes vacances correspondant à nos attentes

Nous recherchions un endroit au calme. Nous avons trouvé notre bonheur. Accueil chaleureux d'Isabelle qui nous a fourni de multiples informations pour rendre ce séjour le plus intéressant possible. Nous avons alterné visite des principaux sites andalous avec farniente au bord de la piscine. Piscine idéale sans vis à vis que nous avions souhaité chauffée, c'était parfait.

Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings

A spotlessly clean property in a fantastic location with stunning panoramic mountain views from the lovely pool and sunny terrace. We stayed for two weeks in August, family of five loved the villa and the pool. Isabelle could not have been more helpful, considerate or friendly. Be ready for 30 min drive down winding roads to get anywhere but the views are worth it.

Un petit hameau tranquille à Comares

Maison très agréable avec piscine et propre entourée d oliviers. Une vue magnifique ! Le village de Comares est à 5mn de la location en voiture. Isabelle la propriétaire est très sympathique et à l écoute de ses locataires. Nous recommandons cette location pour les personnes qui aiment la nature et la tranquillité.

Lovely villa with fantastic views

Very peaceful villa located just outside of Comares. Well equipped and clean. We stayed for one week In April 2019. Heated pool a bonus, 30 mins to the beach Vélez Malaga. Loved to sit on the patio and admire the views. Kids loved it. Very comfortable. Make sure you travel from Malaga airport to the town of Vélez Malaga and then from here to the Villa. Best roads and quickest route. Velez-Malaga good for food shopping also. 50 mins in total from Airport.

Great villa with stunning views!

We stayed here as a family of 5 beginning of Easter holidays. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and was somewhat rainy on arrival to Malaga airport. After picking up our hire car, we ventured off to find a supermarket then text Isobel to let her know we were on our way. It was approx 23k of winding mountain road to the villa, which most of us passengers found hard to stomach after 50 mins suffice to say subsequent journeys we stopped half way to ease our queasy tummies! Arrived at the villa around 3pm. Very clean. Stunning views. We paid extra for the pool to be heated which was indeed lovely at 27° and having checked the forecast also paid extra for a delivery of logs for the fire which Isobel bought with her a couple hours after we arrived. We visted Malaga, Nerja and Gibralta during our stay, and drove up to the small village of Comares where there is also a small supermarket. The little bar/restaurant down the road from the villa is lovely and you can walk it in 10 mins, turning right out the villa and keep on going. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here and managed a couple of days sun bathing by the pool. The kids loved the pool and spent hours in it. The villa is well equipped, although some cushions in the lounge just to make evening chillout time more comfortable would be a bonus, and equally 2 normal pillows each on the double beds would be preferred rather than one long lumpy sausage pillow neither person can turn over when your partner is on the other end! Perhaps some pool towels and then bathroom towels could be left for future guests as we found we were using the same towel for by the pool and getting out the shower, and because we had quite a bit of rain drying them took a while. Also the shower in the main bathroom likes to spin round on its fitting which soaks the ceiling and floor and anyone helping set it up for their kids! We were thankful for the wood and fireplace as it was quite cold in the evenings. But cleaning it out was a task as there is no fireside companion kit to do it. Found an old dustpan broom and swept what we could into the tray to be emptied. There are board games and cards and hairdryer ect at the villa, tv although only about 5 English speaking channels, dvd player but we didn't take any films and there are none there. Would recommend this villa if peace and quiet away from everything is what you're looking for with great views. Hopefully the weather will be nicer for the next guests!

Schöne Lage, netter Kontakt, beheizte Pools und Kamin.

Alles in allem zu empfehlen! Wir waren zu viert ende März dort und hatten die Pools beheizt. Abends im Jacuzzi in den sternklaren Himmel schauen und am Tag (vor allem die Kids) im Pool baden, war grandios. Da es am Abend noch kühl war, haben wir auch den Kamin benutzt. Kaminholz konnte für einen achmalen Taler gekauft werden. Austattung war wie beschrieben. Die Lage eignet sich auch gut für Ausflüge u.a. nach Malaga, Cordoba oder Granada.

Noël au Soleil

Agréable séjour en famille pour fêter Noël. Accueil chaleureux et disponibilité en cas de besoin. Maison spacieuse pour 6 personnes. Un peu plus de vaisselle serait mieux, histoire de ne faire tourner la machine qu'une fois par jour lorsqu'il y a 7 personnes. Des patères à chaque porte serait également un plus (chambres et SdB). Mais ces 2 petites remarques sont valables pour quasiment toutes les locations ! Nous gardons précieusement cette adresse pour y retourner peut-être aux beaux jours et pouvoir profiter de la piscine ! Bonne année 2019 !

100 % Erholung! Einfach Spitze!

Hallo Liebe Urlauber! Hallo Isabelle! Wer in der nähe von Malaga und Comares Urlaub machen möchte ist in dieser Unterkunft genau richtig. Wir waren anfangs November dort und das Wetter war super. Der Aussenpool kann auf Wunsch geheizt werden wer möchte kann auf Wunsch auch ein Whirlpool dazu gestellt bekommen. Abends schön bei 40 Grad in den Whirlpool und den Tag ausklingen lassen. Isabelle die Hauseigentümerin ist sehr Hilfsbereit und entspannt. Es gibt eigentlich keine Probleme, es gibt nur Lösungen und eine sehr nette Hilfe. Es wird sich um alles wohl des Gastes gekümmert. Wir haben sehr viele Ausflüge in unserer Woche gemacht, wir waren in Malaga, dann sind wir mit der Fähre von Tarifa nach Tangier gefahren ( Passport nicht vergessen, mit ID nicht möglich) wunderschön und sehr spannend. Ausserdem waren wir noch in Gibraltar einer englische Exklave/Enklave von England. Man kann dort sehr viel Geld ausgeben ob in Euro oder Pfund. Und ein Besuch in Granada im Alhambra sollte man sich auch nicht entgehen lassen. Comares ist ein größeres Dorf oder eine kleiner Stadt auf einem Hügel. Man hat dort eine super Aussicht und kann die netten Leute in den kleinen Gassen Kennenlernen. Wenn sie den Fussweg (Bilder auf dem Boden als Fuss) folgen kann ich Ihnen versichern das Sie eine sehr nette und etwas ältere Frau begegnen. Sie hat mit Sicherheit etwas leckeres für Sie im Angebot! Wir können nur Sagen, es war alles Top, die Unterkunft hat alles was man braucht, die Eigentümerin ist nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommen. Wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank Marcel & Sabine

Outstanding property in a breathtaking location, beautiful area and really helpful owner

The villa is in a fantastic position with breathtaking views of the valley and mountains beyond. The heated pool was a boon in October. The area is beautiful and the villa is close to a great little local restaurant and a short drive and possible walk to Comares. The villa has everything you could ever need and is well appointed, the beds are very comfortable and the lounge cosy when we used the fire (it was unseasonably cool on a couple of days). We will hopefully come back one day as the family had a relaxing and memorable time. Highly recommended.

La petite maison blanche accrochée à la colline

Maison un peu perdue dans les oliviers et amandiers pour les amateurs de calme et de nature. Maison propre, piscine un peu petite, mais agréable. Vue magnifique et calme absolu, mais un peu éloignée des centres commerciaux et grands axes routiers. Private location with stunning views. Thoroughly recommended!

We spent nine nights here and had a great time. The building is located in a secluded elevated position with far reaching stunning views of the mountains. The accommodation was spotlessly clean/comfortable and the property manager couldn't have been more helpful.

Well kept villa in the hills outside comares

Very clean and well presented villa, private overlooking the valley and mountains creating wonderful views. Clean pool but a little small for swimming but great to keep cool. If seclusion is what your after this place delivers. On the down side the journey to the villa could put you off, 45 mins from Velez with slow winding mountain roads , the last 200 yards very hilly and bumpy. A 15/20 mins walk down a dirt track to the local bar, which serves food .On our arrival we were surprised with lovely a jacuzzi but after day 1 the local manager advised an additional cost if we wanted the jacuzzi which was not mentioned when booking on the site , which was disappointing . It would have been helpful to have a welcome book with additional info in like the fridge/ freezer operates on 2 seperate controls . We nearly lost our freezer food . Also info on the air conditioning unit , it takes coins to operate it which we were not aware of, Small but important details when you are quite remote. Overall lovely place to stay in a peaceful location in a very tidy villa.

The location is very peaceful with the picturesque town of Comares around a 5 minute drive away where you will find a shop, pharmacy, a few bars, plus a small play area for the kids. 2 restaurants are 10 minutes walk (Los Ventorros) on a dirt track (torch required if at night) which give a good option if you don’t want to take the car. We spent lazy days by the pool soaking in the stunning scenery and also explored Nerja, Torres Del Mar, Competa and Frigiliana. We used the Lidl supermarket in Velez De Malaga which is probably a 40 minute drive but we stocked up at the start of the week which then more or less saw us through the holiday. Isabelle the local contact was excellent, she contacted us prior to arrival providing directions to the villa, met us at the villa on the first day and was always available if we had any questions during the stay. I should also mention that this is the cleanest villa we have stayed in, it was spotless! We would definitely return to this villa.
