Casita Martin is truly a hidden gem. Guests looking for privacy, relaxation, nature and cosiness will find the perfect place to spend their holidays here. The owners have transformed an antique stable into a casita that steals the heart of everyone who enters.
You enter the fairytale cottage through the veranda. The windows can be slid open, have mosquito nets and bamboo blinds, and there is a door leading to the terrace and pool area. In the veranda, you can relax, enjoy the view in a sofa, or dine with incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
From the veranda, you enter the kitchen. It is incredible how Clair and Simon have managed to furnish a rather small kitchen so completely. You really have everything you need to enjoy cooking. A gas cooker, microwave, small electric oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, all kitchen accessories and even a dishwasher and washing machine.
From the kitchen, stairs lead to the lounge. Here you can enjoy cosy evenings. In summer, there is refreshing air conditioning and, for colder evenings, guests have access to a pellet stove. (Clair and Simon give 1 bag of pellets per week for free to their guests during the winter months. The airco can also be used for heating. Airco consumption of 15€/week is included. If the guest consumes more he has to pay extra)
There is a 2-seater sofa, a wicker chair, coffee tables and a large smart TV. (There is WIFI throughout the cottage.) Remnants of the old stable can still be seen here and there, adding an extra touch to the living area.
The living room gives access to the split-level bedroom. Dream away in a blissful king-size bed after a wonderful day. There is air-conditioning W/K, TV, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is a dressing table with mirror that you can also use as a desk. A printer is available for guests who want to work from here.
The bathroom, accessible from the sleeping area, features a toilet and a very spacious walk-in shower with double shower head and glass door. Quality cotton linen is at guests' disposal.
The outdoor space of Casita Martin is simply amazing. There are terraces on 2 levels with sun loungers, outdoor furniture, awnings and a barbecue. The eye-catcher, however, is the beautiful swimming pool. Although the casita is only for 2 people, it is wonderfully spacious: 7.5m x 3.7m x 1.20m.
And the view from the pool...soothing views of the surrounding hills and very private. Just enjoy.
In the nearby hamlet of Los Ventorros at 1.5 km there are 2 bars/restaurants. Just 4 km away is the picturesque whitewashed village of Comares with restaurants/bars, supermarket, bakery.
History and cosiness meet in Comares, which was voted 'Pueblo magico d' España'. You will find traces of Moorish history in this part of Spain by following the ceramic footsteps through the village and exploring narrow alleys full of surprises.
The multi-award-winning beach of Torre del Mar is just 30 km from Casita Martin. Enjoy a day at the beach and eat crackling fresh fish at one of the chiringuitos (beach restaurants)
Malaga, jewel in the crown of the Costa del Sol, is just 60 km from the casita. Enjoy culture and gastronomy or 'shop till you drop' in the famous Calle Larios.
All of Andalusia's tourist highlights can be visited on a day trip. Granada (Alhambra), Cordoba (Mezquita), Ronda, Caminito del Rey...and there is so much more to discover in this beautiful part of Spain.
Casita Martin is the right place for couples or friends who want to enjoy themselves in privacy. It is excellent for naturism. Although the owners also live on the property, the Casita is completely secluded and private. The view of the surrounding mountains and beautiful nature brings tranquillity and the opportunity to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle.
