Frat House Vibes
The property is located at the back of another property. The location is as described. The listing title is “cozy”. It is not. I rented this unit knowing that the home is in a historic district and expected quirks. The uniqueness of the home was not the problem. This unit had no softness or comfort. The mattresses are approximately 5” thick with springs and coils. Army cots provide more comfort. (We are an Army family and have experienced Army cots.) The sofa in the living room had multiple stains, was hard and uncomfortable. The fabric was torn and shredded on the arms. The living room is pictured with two sofas. There was only the one. The other seems to be replaced with another dirty occasional chair—the most comfortable piece of furniture in the unit. The dresser in the king bedroom is another cast off (possibly a curbside find). The dresser is scratched and scarred terribly and missing pulls. The lamp was inoperable. In the main bathroom, it was difficult to shower without soaking the entire bathroom. The shower curtains do not reach the top of the bathtub! Finally, the owner messaged and asked that we start the towels in the washing machine prior to leaving. There was no detergent provided. I wonder if the towels ever get soap? My overall impression of the unit is that the furniture is from second rate thrift stores or frat house rejects. Beware! We left one day early. I couldn’t be there anymore. I knew I could be in my own clean, comfy bed in 4 hours.
