  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Our second great stay with Teresa and Addison. This is the best place to stay in NE Columbus. Quiet street, very comfortable accommodation and super friendly hosts. Clean and cozy; great having our coffee in front of the fireplace each morning.

We absolutely loved staying here and wanted to stay the whole weekend instead of just our one night. So many little touches that make the place so nice. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a serene place but still close to things.

What made this place stand out for me was all the little accessories that others don’t bother to have for their guests. Items that you forgot when packing with the excitement and stress of traveling, something at the time you just don’t think of. It was wonderful to have over the counter pain medicine on hand, coffee and creamers available along with a tea pot with tea as well!!! I just loved everything and it was advertised as a studio apartment but it was much more than that. There was a separate kitchen area with a seating area and a large closet for our suitcases and a large rod for hanging our clothes with an iron available. An area with a couch and a working gas fireplace, plenty of reading material and so much more…… The outside had a swing where you could sit outside in the peaceful beautiful backyard with your cup of coffee. The owner was nice enough to greet us and show us around the apartment and was very hospitable. The home was in a very nice neighborhood and at no time did we feel unsafe. I was as impressed that each nightstand had an iPhone charging station, no need to drag mine out. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, it was one of the best we have stayed at!

We stayed two nights. This place is beautiful and so comfortable. The photos in the listing are 100% accurate. We enjoyed the back porch and even got to meet the dogs, as well as Teresa and Addison. :) If you plan to visit the Columbus Zoo, it is very easy to get to from this property. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I don't know if we'll ever be back in Ohio, but we'll be back here for sure if we are and will recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great stay.

We had the most wonderful stay here during the Sonic Temple music festival. Our hosts were very kind, and the property was immaculate. It had everything we needed. As someone with obsessive compulsive disorder, my condition manifests in several ways which includes the classical obsession with cleanliness. I can honestly say this was a property I felt very comfortable in. I do not always feel that way staying away from home which can make trips stressful, but with how clean this property was, I was glad to have a trigger free stay. I honestly could not have felt more at home outside of my own home. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again! The proximity to the festival was exactly what we needed as was the quiet and reclusiveness away from the crowds and chaos of the rest of the weekend. A wonderful experience from start to finish!

Truly exceptional with so many wonderful touches!

I can't say enough fantastic things about this property! We could not have asked for a better location - so close to great shopping & restaurants, as well as the highway. Additionally, there were so many thoughtful touches throughout (such as wireless charging stations by the bed, wonderfully plush bath sheets, and a lovely tea selection) that really made us feel at home (or let's be honest - better than at home!). It is clear the owners put a lot of thought and care into the studio.

Cozy and Comfortable!

My fiancé and I stayed for 2 nights to attend a hockey game downtown and have some time off together. We loved our stay! The space is basically a mini house with everything you’d need. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating! Bed was very comfortable with plenty of blanket/pillow options. I loved and appreciated the attention to detail when it came to all the amenities they provided. We would definitely stay again!
