Frat house

This place looked nice in the pictures. We got there is was clearly a frat house for college kids! Not at all what we thought based on the pictures!! The house had been used and abused.

REMOVE THIS PROPERTY FROM LISTING

This was the WORST home ever. After arriving to an unlocked front door, the smell was a blend of dead animal, mold, musty, just plain dirty. The walls were dirty, holes in the floor, spilled soda on the walls heading to the 2nd floor. The living room did not look anything like the picture presented in the advertisement, as there was missing furniture, and the furniture that was there was dirty and smelly. The kitchen had a damaged refrigerator, and damage stove top. The oven was nasty and dirty. If you move to the hallway closet, the shelf was full of rat feces. The bathrooms were nasty with dirty towels hanging from the door. The bedroom had a broken leg on the bed, and part of the ceiling was peeling off. The blinds on the windows were broken, missing chairs from the dining room table, and a nasty dirty mop in the dining room. The neighborhood looked like a gang fight would be breaking out any minute, and the fire pit pictured in the backyard could not be seen from the overgrown forest. We were charged $60 for extra cleaners so we could check in at 2:00pm instead of 5:00pm, and it honestly looks like they just pocketed the money because that house looked like no one has been there for years. I had kids with me, so that was not going to be a safe place to be. The side door looked like someone had tried kicking it in as well. I immediately reached out to the host who was not helpful, but VRBO returned my funds. Still waiting for the $60 refund. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!

Older but Clean

Its an older style house, but was very clean, and enjoyable. First night we noticed a lot of partying across the street, but realized the university just graduated a bunch of students, so didn't mind that.

Ohio state game

Great place for large group, basic accommodations. Problem with parking, neighbors kept parking in front of driveway, blocking our exit. Could have extra parking in back in alley, however it is a dump back there. The management group is too worried about having a party there, became annoying having to agree several times to be under video surveillance outside including 2 hours before arrival. Were they ready to cancel me at the last minute? Would I rent again? Probably, it is a great place for a guys game weekend, probably not for the family.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

Renter beware! We had to vacate this property within an hour due to the strong presence of mold. Our party began to have headaches and became nauseous. The home was 85 degrees at check in so we turned on the AC which pulled air from the very dirty basement through a large open vent in the floor of the first floor. The pictures shown of the home are not accurate. The second and third floors were extremely HOT with only a box fan in a window which did nothing to cool the home. At check in were were given an address three houses away from the property. We tried to communicate via phone with the host but they would only send texts. When we could not get the host on the phone we called VRBO for help. We sent them pictures of the damage which included pic of the mold, damaged floors, a bathroom door that wouldn't shut and didn't even have a doorknob and the temperature in the home from the thermostat. We let the host know of the problem and we needed to cancel due to the health concerns. They immediately shut down commications via text and only sent messages through the portal with canned responses. They continued to try to get us to respond with "I agree" to the terms they were offering which were not acceptable. VRBO help told us they would help handle the situation to get our money back. The host continued to send us messages as if we were still staying at the house after telling them several times we wanted to cancel the reservation and we had to leave due to the health concern

Beware

Home was a mess, from head to toe. Stairs that weren’t even connected to the patio deck, wood fence falling a part, weed buds and ashes on the floor and window sills, trash left in the basement, nasty washing machine and old carpet. Beds were nice and comfortable and host was responsive. Area was a little questionable as well.

Nice place for large group close to our event

We came in for the high school track meet with extended family and were all able to stay together at this house. It has been updated inside, but still holds the charm and quirks of a house built in its' time and was very conveniently located to the track

Good young adult group housing option

The home had the ideal number of beds to accommodate our team. The home needs some TLC and shows it’s character being built in the early 1900’s. Kitchen utensils and supplies could use some attention by restocking.
