This is our third year to have our family gathering at Angeltom and we hope to come back again next year. Our kids and grandkids always look forward to going because of all of the space to explore the grounds on the 4 wheel mule, not to mention fishing. Can't say enough good things about this unique property.

It's as if the listing was years old and not updated at all. First of all the side by side had basically no brakes and we could have been severely injured when going down a hill and notbeing able to stop. We had to veer off in the trees in order to get it stopped. Thankfully we didnt have small children on it at the time. On top of that the jukebox didnt let you select songs as intended, the spices in the cabinets were old and the dishes were grimy and disgusting. The doorknob kept falling off making the door not usable, the pool table was built for a small child and was broken and unlevel. The main reason we booked the listing was for the ponds and it was nothing like the pictures. The water was very low and there was no paddle boat as shown and no coverings on the deck as shown. The 2 "ponds" were not ponds at all. One was too small to be considered anything other than a puddle and the other was just stagnant muddy water with dead fish floating around. I feel like that is something that should be mentioned in the listing since the pictures were so drastically different of the actual area. Overall it was not at all as described and the amount of inaccurate, outdated information presented in the listing led to an overall crappy weekend of disappointment vs the satisfying weekend getaway we hoped for. Definitely would not recommend this place for anyone unless you just want to suffer and give money away. Our fault for not doing our homework i guess. Lesson learned.

Perfect

1st time renting this place. But it certainly won't be the last. Had a little family vacation for the 4th of July and this place was so nice, clean and it literally has EVERYTHING! The kids had so much fun exploring, fishing and just spending time outside. The owners are so nice and sweet. They answered quickly to any questions i had. For sure a place to stay at for families.

Great place for all outdoor activities

Angeltom cabin has all the activities you can wish for a long weekend. From hiking, fishing, boating, kids playhouse, UTV, hot tub and an awesome jukebox for music. To compliment, the cabin os outfitted with everything that you could possibly need and with every cabinet neetly organized and labeled. Great place to explore and unwind

This is our second time staying at Angeltom with our family celebrating the holidays. We loved the addition of the outdoor lit christmas tree. The kids and grand kids thoroughly enjoyed riding around in the Kawasaki mule exploring the woods and all the fun statues. We caught and released several large catfish out of the main pond, as well as enjoyed watching the deer come in at feeding time. Made many cherished memories!

You won’t be bored!!!

We did the Wild Hare 10k for the first time and had originally planned on staying at the large cabin at Bastrop State Park, but unfortunately it was booked. Lucky for us, because this place is like having a state park all to yourself. There are numerous trails with lots of hills and gorgeous scenery. In addition, there are delightful statues and scenes all throughout the property. If you like photo opportunities, you will be ecstatic!!! The age range of our group of nine was 22 - 49 and everyone had a great time and found something they enjoyed wether it was the jukebox, fishing, driving the UTV, playing vintage video games, archery, paddling in the boat, napping in the hammock, or sitting on the porch and listening to the birds and the wind. The outdoors here is unique. The hosts were great and the house is fully functioning and has all of the things that you may forget to pack. I loved that the kitchen table in the cabin was big enough for our group of nine to eat together. The hot tub was great for all the sore muscles after the 10k. We enjoyed the Wild Hare and everyone wants to race again next year, and I hope the Angel Tom Cabin is available.

The Happiest Place on Earth

I truly cannot speak highly enough about this place — it was our family’s third time visiting over the past three years and the memories we make each time are absolutely magical. My twins chose a trip to Angeltom for their 8th birthday and we had 15 guests including 8 kids ages 3-10. The cabin: Despite our big group, the cabin never felt crowded. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything, and all supplies and items are well organized and clearly labeled. Everything is always clean and well taken care of. The property: The true magic is outside at Angeltom. Some of our favorite things to do are relax in the hot tub, play at the pond (where the kids could spend the whole day fishing and paddling the boat around), and of course wander the amazing trails that are littered with antiques, statues, and surprises at every turn. The dads in our group love giving the kids “safari rides” around the property on the UTV, and our whole group enjoys picnics down at the second pond before playing the MOST EPIC games of hide and seek you could ever imagine. From early morning walks watching wildlife, to evenings around the campfire with the jukebox playing in the background, every day we are Angeltom is The Best Day Ever. The Hosts: Angelina and Tomas are not only helpful and quick to respond, but they are also exceptionally thoughtful and kind. I am so grateful to them for curating this amazing slice of heaven.
