Fabulous time
We had a fabulous time enjoying the back yard and home to see the full eclipse as well as play board games and cook meals together. The place was clean, and had everything we needed and then some!

Family Trip to visit daughter at St Lawrence Univ.
We had an awesome time! The house was super convenient to SLU and it was clean & spacious! We especially loved that our dogs could join us! They enjoyed walking the amazing trails right on the property as much as we did!! So beautiful!!

Charming Farmhouse

Enjoyable and relaxing
The property was beautiful and idyllic. We enjoyed hiking on the trails through the forest, playing in the creek and building a fire. The house was comfortable, clean and tidy and had all the amenities that we needed. The front porch provided us with a nice place to unwind and relax. We really enjoyed our stay. Tammy, the hostess, was very responsive and helpful.

Country setting

Great house with lots of room
We had a great time staying here with our kids and dogs while visiting our son at St. Lawrence. Plenty of room for all of us. We made some great meals in the kitchen, We enjoyed walking around the property.

Great trip!
Tammie was really communicative and helped us out when she got notice of a blizzard. House was cozy and met all our needs - well stocked kitchen, lots of blankets, great location close to hiking, coffee trips, and some day trips in the area.

Great location
Home was clean and had everything we needed. Host provided a helpful house book with local restaurants, activities, and grocery stores. We walked the property and took plenty of photos.

Beautiful farmhouse within minutes of canton
This place was a perfect escape for us. We had lost power during a storm and decided to make a vacation of it. Tammie’s house outside of Canton was just as advertised. The distance to Canton, the surrounding activities, the manicured trail all were exactly as described in the listing. There were plenty of toys and games for us and our kids as well. It was a great spot and we really appreciated the hospitality.

Great location for a weekend getaway
My husband and I came to the farmhouse for a weekend filled with winter activities and this was the perfect location. The property was close to snowmobile trails and the host even provided snow shoes of all sizes. In the evenings we found some excellent resturants within a 15 min drive. The property was stocked with everything one might need and even some stuff you might have forgotten. The kitchen is so beautifully remodeled and had everything we needed to make breakfast there. We unfortunately ran into a maintenance issue late on a Saturday night and called the maintenance guy and within 20mins EVERYONE was there to fix it! I could not believe how fast the response time was. We will recommend this property if you are looking for a getaway to relax and enjoy nature! We will definitely be back next winter the snowmobiling was amazing.

Winter Family Reunion
This was the perfect spot to host out of town family to celebrate the Matriarchs 90th birthday. The large dining room table was great for sorting old photographs and for eating Sergis pizza and home made waffles. (Yes the VRBO has a waffle iron in the spacious and well equiped kitchen). Some of the family braved the subzero temperatures to take advantage of the provided snowshoes to explore the trails on the property. Others stayed in warmed by the pellet stove and enjoyed games, puzzles and movies. Highly recommend this VRBO for those seeking some rural solace.

Family Reunion Location
Best things--big old rambling farm house with lots of space, well stocked kitchen for cooking meals together, and a great porch and grill, which sadly we didn't get a chance to use. It is beautiful out there---and quiet. Bathrooms were nice and clean, beds are comfy. The one down side--the mattresses on the pullout sofa and chair are really overdue for replacement. I'm not sure anyone will want to sleep on them. Luckily, we had brought an inflatable mattress with us just in case, so that was fine for us.

Trip to Colton
My group and I had the pleasure of staying in this farm house for a weekend. The place was perfect for 8 adults. Very accommodating and plenty of space for all. Would definitely recommend it as it was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Amazing Farm House in the North Country of NY
Loved the property from the moment we turned on the street. The charm and vastness of the property were immediately apparent! The property had plenty of places to explore (trails, creeks) and play (a spacious back yard and fire pit) and if the weather wasn't appropriate for that kind, there were activities insides (games, roku, wifi) to keep you occupied in the freshly remodeled house. We stayed for a week and were never bored. Also, about a 10 minute drive away was Hannawa Falls/Postwood Beach which has lifeguards which is perfect for families looking to have fun and be safe and a few shops for any unexpected needs. Lots of restaurant choices in Canton and Potsdam (Fast Food, sit-down on up) which were about 10-15 minutes away. Canadian border was close, but due to Covid-19 was still closed. Overall, had a great time hear and hope to come back this Fall to check it out in that season.

Country Escape
All was as expected. The new kitchen, laundry, and bath on the first floor are great. Rest of the house hasn't lost the old world farm house charm. Very quiet spot, so all you hear are the owls and crickets at night. Plenty of room to roam outside. Great for visiting family in Canton or Potsdam. Jake's on the Water is a fun local restaurant and isn't far.

Beautifully appointed farmhouse. Was able bake, cook & enjoy family & friends.
House was equipped with everything you would need; Grill, fire pit, games for family gathering. Wonderful experience to celebrate daughter’s college graduation! Grounds are beautiful & good hiking. Close to Potsdam & area colleges.

Superb on every level
I wish we had more than just a few days here, because this was perfect for our family of four. They have thought of everything, and provided more than enough for our stay. We visited in winter, and we had a fun time exploring the property with the provided snowshoes. The WiFi worked flawlessly, so my wife could work remotely, and the kids could do virtual school with no hiccups. The barbecue grill was handy for vegan burgers and brats for us, and regular ones for the kids. Everything is modern and spotless and works wonderfully. The kids say it was the best place we have stayed yet, and I tend to agree, even though we have paid far more for some of the others.

Relax at the farmhouse
Tammie was quick to answer any of our questions making the process comfortable and easy. We found the farmhouse to be super clean and appreciate how much it added and made our trip under these stressful times so much easier for our family while preparing for and attending our daughter's small wedding in Potsdam. The kitchen is not only beautifully renovated but it is also well equipped and stocked. The downstairs living area, comfy beds, front porch, fire pit and paths through the property were relaxing and worked out well during our stay here. All of us, 4 adults, 3 children under 5, plus our dog felt at home very quickly. The farmhouse was an unexpected extra bonus memory to our special times during the week and wedding! We highly recommend Cedar Ridge Farm for anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax close to the Canton and Potsdam areas!

Perfect get a way
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in the farm house. The house was so big and homey and we loved the big front porch to relax on. So many comfy beds and plenty of room for a large family (we had 9 people staying plus 4 others that visited during the day and it fit us all.

Quiet farm retreat

Lovely setting and convenient to Canton/Potsdam
We spent several days at Tammie's farm for my daughter's St Lawrence graduation. Farmhouse is in a lovely setting, clean, includes everything you need and is a short drive to Canton or Potsdam. (we made many)Ended up not having time to explore the on property trails but hope to in the future.

Peaceful and lovely
We had a wonderful time staying at this adorable farmhouse. The setting is beautiful, the house perfectly equipped. Check in was easy, the house sparkling clean and the beds cozy and warm. We ended up staying an extra day and Tammie was so helpful in arranging for us to pay and stay an extra day. It was a perfect place to get away and still be close to Canton and Potsdam. Highly recommend.

Great house for visiting the area for Clarkson University’s Family Weekend!
Our family decided to rent this wonderful farmhouse when traveling up to the area to visit our daughter for Family Weekend at Clarkson University. We were able to have her grandparents join us since we had the extra room to spread out. We enjoyed cooking a hearty breakfast for the whole gang (7 in total including our college student) and took advantage of the expansive grounds with great walking paths right on the premises. We also loved seeing the horses on site! We would not hesitate to return to this property if we were traveling back to the area with a larger group! Also, the owner was very responsive to our questions leading up to the trip.

Beautiful, peaceful countryside
The land is beautiful - it is such a peaceful place to sit on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee. We had 4 adults and 6 kids here. Plenty of room for everyone! On our check out day, Our car wouldn’t start at the house. The caretaker and housekeeper tried to help and Tammie was so kind through it all! I would recommend this place over and over - extremely hospitable and everything you need. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming farmhouse with plenty of room for families :)
Tammie's house is lovely - my family and I enjoyed our time there especially the mornings watching the horses in the pasture. She is very responsive to any questions. The location worked well for us as my family is in Potsdam - very close! We also travelled up to Ottawa for the day - not far at all. The grill was great for a cookout and porch was wonderful in the morning. We will be back next year - thanks Tammie!

Cozy, convenient, charming little farm!
We can't wait to come back! It felt like home in the short time we were there! Comfy beds, very clean, well maintained, peaceful setting! Home has everything you need! Great location close to Colton and potsdam. We had a great time hiking, kayaking, and eating our way thru the area! Perfect for a larger family to relax and get away!

Peaceful get-away
Very welcoming, well-equipped home. Spacious and cheerful with beautiful views of the fields and horses. Comfortable beds, nice linens, plenty of towels. Love the storage nooks and the feel of the farm house. Great porch to enjoy in the evening after little ones are asleep. Could use an additional light in the king bedroom and an outlet on the porch - minor things. It was such a positive experience for our entire family. Would gladly return and recommend.

Wonderful Getaway
Our family stayed at Cedar Ridge Farm for our oldest daughter's graduation from St. Lawrence University. The farm is delightful and sooooo peaceful! It was the perfect location - close enough to easily attend the festivities, but far enough away to be able to retreat from the sometimes hectic pace on campus. Our graduate even came to the farm a couple of times over the weekend to get away from the chaos and emotional time on campus. Tammie was very quick to answer all of our questions and easy to work with with regard to the reservations and rental process. Highly recommend Cedar Ridge Farm for anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax close to Canton and Potsdam!
