Great base for exploring the area.
This was our first visit to CO, so first visit to Colorado Springs, too. This property proved to be a great launchpad for exploring the local area and also driving further out, with good access to the mountains. The host was communicative and helpful, onsite (floor above) too, so very accessible. Perhaps a little unusual (but clearly stated in the listing), the hosts live in the 2nd floor and part of the VRBO is a share access corridor which is used to move between to spaces on the ground floor. The hosts were very respectful of that space during our entire stay. We only saw them when we needed to see them, aside from discreetly heading out to just get on with their day-to-day. We stayed over the Xmas period and the host went above on beyond by providing an Xmas tree and festive lights. Dedicate parking, full kitchen, our teen boy having his own bedroom, bathroom and TV lounge...and the great views from the elevated situation of the property, all contribute to a successful package.

Location & views cannot be beat!
This home is everything that is advertised in the listing. The location is wonderful and is within 15-25 minutes of all major sites you'll want to see here in Colorado Springs. The views of the mountains during the day & views of the city lights at night simply cannot be beat anywhere!! Host & his wife are wonderful and we felt very much at home during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a family
We had a great stay at the Cliff House -- loved having three bedrooms and two baths, and the views from the house were amazing. The house was also close to many amenities and hiking areas.

A Little Slice of Heaven
Gary and Janet have the most beautiful home. The view in the evening is breathtaking. Its true they are upstairs but you never hear from them nor see them. Everthing about this house is perfect and it was perfectly located for all of our adventures.

Stunning Views
This very well maintained and clean property is in a very nice neighborhood outside of the city of Colorado Springs. Views are like in the descriptions and are expansive. You can even see the Garden of the Gods in the distance. The owner, Gary was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed eating at a restaurant they recommended that was NOT a tourist trap. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and other basics. They even had a cooler we could borrow! Great location for quite views and as a base to tour the area. Would definitely stay again.

Spectacular Location
The location of this property is truly spectacular! The hilltop views extend for miles below to the north, east, and south, and the mountains provide a beautiful view to the west. We spent every late afternoon and evening on the patio enjoying the changing colors of the sky as the sun descended and set, and then marveling at the emergence of miles of city lights. Gary is a welcoming and attentive host. The apartments are well maintained, comfortable and well equipped. We have rented VRBO properties for years, and we enjoyed our stay at this one more than almost any other.

Wonderful Stay
We really enjoy our family 4 nights at Gary and Janet's house in Sep. Place is very clean, well stocked and well decorated. The view of mountain, sunrise, Hot air baloon festival is amazing! Hosts are super friendly. Very quiet from upstairs. Kids love to play w their puppies. Thank you Gary and Janet. Will be back soon!

Beautiful views with great location
The views were outstanding in all directions. It was conveniently located for in town and out of town trips. The facility was just as presented with the exception if one thing--there was no grill available. The host was easy to communicate with and prompt in his responses.

Sorry about the grill. We had one for 5 years. But recently it was attracting bears who ruined the original and replacement grill. So we decided it was impractical and gave up on that particular amenity.

We LOVED the cliff house!
We had a quick little girls’ weekend getaway to the Springs with a coworker who was in from the UK. We wanted her to see the beautiful mountains, and experience Colorado hospitality, and the cliff house did not disappoint! I am going to miss mornings on the patio enjoying the breeze and the view! The place was beautiful, and though the owners lived upstairs, we still felt like we had our own safe space. And, Gary made sure we knew about the living arrangements after I booked and was willing to cancel if we did not feel comfortable with the arrangement, which was great. Gary was a lovely and helpful host and we definitely look forward to coming back. It was great for a girls’ weekend and I am looking forward to coming with my partner and our friends as well.

Perfect with a spectacular view
This house was just perfect. The house was just like it was described. Everything you could need is there. The views from inside and out are just spectacular, just like pictured on VRBO. Gary and Janet were lovely hosts. If I get a chance to go to Colorado Springs again, I will definitely stay here. The location was just right for all of the attractions in the Colorado Springs area. Women’s Retreat 2022
I rented this VRBO for a Women’s Hiking Retreat that I was hosting. The property manager, Gary, went above and beyond all my expectations. From check-in to check-out, he made everything very easy! I highly recommend him and his VRBO! It is conveniently located to everything in the area and has breath taking views!

Magical Mountain Stay
We had the most amazing time at the House on the Cliff! Our hosts thought of everything. The property was absolutely gorgeous, very clean, comfortable and cozy. Nice place with good outdoor area
We had a short weekend in the springs, this place worked well for us. The owner is upstairs, but we were not bothered. Gary was very attentive and friendly. The 2 rooms are like 2 masters, but the stairway to upstairs (owners space) is open to our hallway between rooms which was a bit odd. Maybe a door at the bottom of the stairs would provide more privacy. Overall we enjoyed our stay, had a private patio and nice accommodations, for a good price.

Amazing views!
We very much enjoyed our stay. Gary greeted us upon arrival, gave us a tour, tips on the places we had planned to see and made suggestions for places that might not have been in the tourist info. He was available to answer questions but otherwise we didn't know he was there. The apartment was well stocked and the views are amazing. The sunrise is worth setting an alarm to see. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home away from home!
This property exceeded expectations! We stayed here while sight-seeing in CoSprings and it was perfect. Gary and Janet thought of everything to make their rental comfortable and homey. Everything was fully stocked (& then some!) and the rental was impeccably clean! The views were fantastic and morning coffee on the patio was a real treat! Gary personally greeted us upon arrival, which was a nice touch. We rented all 3 bedrooms. Please note that 2 of the 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, are through a shared breezeway with the homeowners, as they live upstairs. This was no problem for us, but may be kind of far away if you have little ones! There are doors separating the breezeway for total privacy. Sharing the rental with the owners did not pose any problems for us, as we barely heard them! To my son’s delight we even got a visit from their dogs (who were very quiet and well behaved.) We will stay here again if we’re ever back in CoSprings!

Very Nice!
Gary & Jackie are the ultimate hosts. They are available if you need them, but they don't bother you otherwise. Always wanted to make sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything. The house is in a perfect location. Easy to get anywhere. The views are spectacular! It is stocked with anything you might need.

Lovely/Cozy/Clean Home w/ Gorgeous Views!
This place is just wonderful and in a great location. Not only are the views spectacular, the location is a short drive to downtown and numerous nature attractions. Gary was a superb host. He checked in on us via text and was available for anything we needed. We were very comfortable in the home, as it was squeaky clean and cozy with a gas fireplace. There's a lovely outdoor swing bench and seating area. The kitchen has everything you need, including filtered water from fridge. I honestly think Gary and Janet thought of everything. We hope to return soon!

Great views
As others have said, the views from this home are spectacular. The apartment was very clean and Gary was great with communication right from the time that I booked the unit through my departure morning. The one thing to know which Gary informs you of is that they live upstairs. The one bedroom apartment is off by itself but when you include bedrooms 2 and 3, it is more of a "bed and breakfast" (without the breakfast) as the stairwell to the upstairs is open to the downstairs and not a separate entrance. Overall, this place was convenient to everything that we wanted and the kids loved it.

Relaxing and Beautiful
My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful property. The views from each window were amazing. You could see the mountains during the day and the city lights at night. Gary was a very accommodating with anything we needed. I think it is important to note that the owners do live above the unit and the noise level is a bit high at times. Other than that, the trip was great.

Our highest concern is the comfort of our guests and in order to further mitigate footstep noise, we have purchased super soft sole shoes. After 6 years as premier hosts on VRBO, this is the first mention of noise we have heard. We want our guests to know that we will do whatever it takes to insure that our guests have a fabulous and quiet experience. Thank you!p

Comfortable with a VIEW
My sister and I really enjoyed this property. We were greeted by Gary on arrival. The views were so fabulous, I’m glad we had mostly clear weather. The amenities were great: stocked cabinets, several shampoos and washes to chose from in each bathroom, large living room smart TV and gas fireplace. Very comfortable.

Fantastic!
This was the perfect place we needed to take a break from working and being home during the pandemic. By far, the best rental we’ve ever been on. Description and other reviews are spot on! This place was more than we imagined and has nice, classy things. The location was perfect and in an upscale neighborhood, which was exactly what we were looking for. We cooked our meals daily and the kitchen had everything we needed. You name it, they had it! The views were fantastic and we already miss eating our lunches outside the patio. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your home with us. You made our trip relaxing and memorable.

Beautiful View!
We stayed two nights before flying home after visiting the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park. We enjoyed the city view and lights at night. Two in our group got up at 5:30 one morning to watch the sun rise from this beautiful location. Gary has great communication and is very friendly and helpful suggesting local places. I'd stay here again.

Beautiful Colorado Springs Property + Super Nice Host
We completely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Colorado Springs home! It was exactly as described! It’s super clean and has absolutely everything you need! The views of the city and the mountains are breathtaking! The fireworks on July 4th was a special treat! The home is located near grocery stores, shopping, gas stations, etc. We enjoyed so many sites, Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge, Gondola, Royal Bridge Train and Dinner, Cripple Creek, North Cheyenne Canyon, Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs and more! It was a pleasure meeting Gary! He was super nice, accommodating, and very helpful with any questions and recommendations! His precious dogs were a treat too! This was our first trip to Colorado Springs and it was amazing!

Relaxing and Great Views!
It was a Great Place for Me, My Wife, and two Daughters (in their twenties) to stay. My Daughters had their own bedrooms away from the Wife and me to stay. Two Bedrooms had Great Views of the City and the other was a Bedroom with own TV and movies to view. The what I would call the Master Bedroom had its own bathroom with two sinks and very clean, it led into the Kitchen and Living Room Area. And don't worry the kitchen has everything you need plus! The other side contained the other two rooms which they shared a bathroom. One of the bedrooms had its own little patio area. I would like to Thank, Gary and Janet for letting Us stay in such a NICE Place and having Everything a person may need that was wanting to stay in a place that felt like Home away from Home! Just so You know the Owner's do live upstairs but we never knew they were there unless we needed something or had a question about maybe where to go or what to do! It was Great for Us hope one day we will be able to go back and stay/visit with them! Oh, if You step outside and look the other way, away from the City side there are NICE Views of the Mountains!

The best stay ever
